A group of celebrity #BlackLivesMatter activists calling itself Black-Palestinian Solidarity has set up a website and issued a video supporting the 'Palestinians.'
A year later, the president’s old spiritual leader, Jeremiah Wright,
took the microphone at Farrakhan’s #JusticeOrElse rally in D.C. and
confounded quite a few with his declaration that “Jesus was a Palestinian.”
He was speaking metaphorically, insisting that “the youth in Ferguson
and the youth in Palestine have united together to remind us that the
dots need to be connected.”
That union isn’t a metaphor: a group called Black-Palestinian Solidarity has launched a website that explains its mission:
We choose to join one another in resistance not because
our struggles are the same but because we each struggle against the
formidable forces of structural racism and the carceral and lethal
technologies deployed to maintain them. This video intends to interrupt
that process – to assert our humanity – and to stand together in an
affirmation of life and a commitment to resistance.
The group also released a video featuring activists, artists and some
familiar faces, including Lauryn Hill, Danny Glover, Alice Walker,
Angela Davis, Cornel West, Boots Riley and many others. (Riley is leader
of rap group The Coup, which achieved brief notoriety for its album
cover featuring Riley holding a prop “detonator” in front of an
exploding World Trade Center tower.)
From January 2009 to the present, the conflict between Israel and the
United States has never been connected to any real chance of peace or
ending the conflict in a manner that is consistent with American pledges
about ensuring the Jewish state’s security. At this point, it is time
for even those that have rationalized and apologized for Obama’s
penchant for attacking Israel to face up to the fact that his behavior
requires a better explanation than an alleged desire to save it from
itself. Nor is the argument about Iran enough to justify what we are
witnessing. Nothing about the current argument can be traced to U.S.
security needs. Rather, its motive seems more about personal anger and
vague ideological assumptions about Israel and the Palestinians that
have no connection to reality.
That is a sobering thought that should motivate even those Democrats
who are no fans of Netanyahu to begin speaking up against an
administration policy that seems rooted in spite, not strategy.
Where does Israel fit into this? It seems that Victor Davis Hanson got it partly right when he wrote:
Does
Team Obama really believe that a murderous autocratic cabal like Hamas
is merely different from a democratic constitutional republic like
Israel? At best we have naiveté at the helm (Obama thinks he can
mesmerize misunderstood killers), at
worst, a genuine feeling that Israel is an aggressive, Western
imperialist power exploiting indigenous people of color who simply wish
to be free--in other words, the Rev. Wright-Bill Ayers-Rashid Khalidi
view of the Middle East.
If D'Souza is correct (and
what he writes is certainly plausible), it should be clear that Obama
views Israel - like the United States - as a post-colonial country that
is "an aggressive, Western imperialist power exploiting indigenous people of color who simply wish to be free."
But Hanson got one detail wrong. Obama doesn't look at us that way
because of Wright, Ayers and Khalidi. They just reinforced the view of
Israel that Obama already had in his blood from his Kenyan father.
I've been telling you all for eight years that the company a politician keeps matters. We could all have figured this out eight years ago (I did). What could go wrong?
In an eye-catching headline, Ed Driscoll refers to Barack Hussein Obama's blind spot to anti-Semitism. Driscoll is referring to yesterday's news that President Obama referred to the Paris supermarket massacre as a random shooting. But the quotes that Driscoll cites prove that this is far more than a blind spot. It's active anti-Semitism.
His Vox comments are, in fact, far worse than his initial
reaction which was more a matter of omission than a conscious twisting
of events.
...
Let’s first note that his characterization of the assailants again
omits their Islamist loyalties and the fact that religion was the
motivating factor for their crime. This is consistent with
administration policy that seeks to cleanse ISIS, al-Qaeda, or other
Islamists of any connection with the Muslim faith. This is absurd not
just because it is wrong. It also puts Obama in the position of trying
to play the pope of Islam who can decide who is or is not a real Muslim,
a responsibility that no American president should try to usurp.
But it is also significant that once again the president chooses to
treat a deliberate targeting of a Jewish business filled with Jewish
customers as something that is random rather than an overt act of
anti-Semitism. Doing so once might be excused as an oversight. The
second time makes it a pattern that can’t be ignored.
This is a peculiar talking point especially since the increase of
anti-Semitism in Europe with violent incidents going up every year is
something that even the Obama State Department has dubbed a “rising
tide” of hate.
Why does the president have such a blind spot when it comes to
anti-Semitism? His critics will jump to conclusions that will tell us
more about their views of Obama than about his thinking.
But suffice it
to say that this is a president who finds it hard to focus on the siege
of Jews in Europe or of the State of Israel in the Middle East. Nor can
it be entirely coincidental that a president who treats Israeli
self-defense and concerns for its security as a bothersome irritant to
his foreign policy or seeks to blame the Jewish state’s leaders for
obstructing a peace process that was actually blown up by the
Palestinians would have a blind spot about anti-Semitism.
There was nothing random about it, at all. There are
about 310,000 Jews in the greater Paris area. Out of close to 12 million
inhabitants. The odds of killing four Jews randomly are pretty
daunting. But, thankfully, you don’t have to do the math because
Amedy Coulibaly said openly and proudly that he was targeting Jews. No
one disputes this, except for Barack Obama. He would never describe the
targeting of a black church by the Klan as simple random violence — nor
should he. And we know he’s perfectly comfortable denouncing crimes
committed in “in the name of Christ” no matter how ancient they may be.
But crimes in the name of Allah must not be named as such — or at all.
This is as much about a 'blind spot' as the killings themselves were random. It's anti-Semitism. Pure and simple. And it was on display for everyone whose eyes were open to see all the way back in 2007.
According to Lasky, Obama's spiritual mentor is Jeremiah Wright, who
openly
spouts anti-Israel invective, supports divestment actions against
Israel, supports Louis Farrakhan (Judaism is a "gutter religion") and
travels to Libya to offer support to the arch-foe of Israel and sponsor
of terror Col. Muammar al-Gadaffi (recall Lockerbie airplane bombing?)
Reverend
Jeremiah Wright, Jr. is the long-time Pastor of Obama's church, and
Obama has credited him as being an inspiration and guiding light for
him. He is a spiritual mentor to Obama and coined the term the "audacity
of hope" that Obama has essentially made a theme of his campaign as
well as the title of a book. He also has, in the words of the Chicago
Tribune, a militant past.
Moreover, Pastor Wright has beliefs
that might disturb some of Obama's supporters. He is a believer in
"liberation theology," which makes the liberation of the oppressed a
paramount virtue. The language of liberation all too often veers off
into anti-Jewish rants. For example, one of the founders of the
movement, Gustavo Gutierrez, has stated that the infidelities of the
Jewish people made the Old Covenant [between the Jews and God] invalid."
Pastor Wright is also a supporter of Louis Farrakhan, and in 1984
traveled with him to visit Col. Muammar al-Gadaffi, an archenemy of
Israel's and America and a firm supporter of terror groups.
Wright has also been a severe critic of Israel. In his own words,
The
Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for almost 40
years now. It took a divestment campaign to wake the business community
up concerning the South Africa issue. Divestment has now hit the table
again as a strategy to wake the business community up and to wake
Americans up concerning the injustice and the racism under which the
Palestinians have lived because of Zionism.
...
Once
this history came to light, Obama started publicly distancing himself
from his spiritual mentor, disinviting Wright from various Obama
campaign events. Wright rationalized his current persona non grata
status by stating that otherwise
"a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell"
Wonder why?
If he walks like an anti-Semite, talks like an anti-Semite and acts like an anti-Semite, it's not just a blind spot. He's an anti-Semite.
Too bad all those American Jews had to prove that they were open-minded and liberal by voting for this anti-Semite because he's (half) black... twice.
More than five years after he all but conceded the Presidency by not going for Barack Hussein Obama's jugular, John Sidney McCain is calling Obama the most naive President evah.
It happened Sunday on CBS's Face the Nation.
Let's go to the videotape. The interview starts at the 3:37 mark, and the question and answer you're looking for is at the 7:54 mark. The interview runs until 9:40.
McCain had his chance to show up the most naive President evah and he didn't take it. He didn't hit Obama for listening to weekly sermons from an anti-Semite for 20 years. He didn't hit Obama for hiding a video in which Obama is alleged to have made anti-Semitic comments. He didn't hit Obama for his associations with the likes of Jeremiah Wright, Rashi Khalidi, Billy Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Louis Farrakhan and the most corrupt politicians Chicago has ever seen. He didn't hit Obama for his inexperience in 2008. He didn't hit Obama for his disappearing birth certificate and academic records. He didn't hit Obama for anything, and he tried to prevent Sarah Palin from doing the job for him.
And now, in 2014, McCain calls Obama naive? He still doesn't get it. Obama is anything but naive. He is undermining America from within. That's not naive. It's conniving. It may be years before the Republicans are able to cleanly win a Presidential election because of all the cheating that Obama has built into the system. And John McCain is the one who let that happen. Obama was a Manchurian candidate and McCain let him win.
You'll all remember Jeremiah Wright, the pseudo-Christian preacher in whose church Barack Hussein Obama sat for 20 years before being forced to dissociate himself (at least temporarily) at the height of the 2008 US election campaign due to Wright's virulent anti-Semitism.
Obama's second BFF in the world, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsy, also has a virulently anti-Semitic religious guide, whose pronouncements about Jews match, if not exceed, the hatred in Morsy's own statements. Meet Mohammed Badie, spiritual guide to Mohammed Morsy, with whom Morsy continues to consult regularly.
References to Jews as "apes" and "pigs" also are repeatedly found in
the speeches of the man many liberal Egyptians regard as the real power behind Morsi, Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohammed Badie. According to Germany's Der Spiegel, Morsi regularly meets with Badie and has shown that he expresses obedience to the supreme guide.
"The Zionists, the West and the lackey rulers conspired together. If
the Muslim Brotherhood had remained in the field, the Zionist Entity
would not have stood not its flag raised. Of old God forced the Jews to
become pigs," Badie said in a July 7, 2010 sermon found on the Brotherhood's website.
Badie returned to the theme in a June 14, 2012 speech on the eve of Morsi's election.
"The Lord of Glory has threatened these murdering Zionists criminals
with a penalty of a kind which operates in this world before the
Hereafter," Badie said, then quoting: "So when they were insolent about
that which they had been forbidden, We said to them, 'Be apes,
despised.' [Quran 7:166]."
"The cause of Palestine is of considerable importance. It is not a
cause of power, nor of Palestinians, nor of the Arabs, but is the basic
cause of life of every Muslim," Badie said. "For the sake of its return,
every Muslim must wage jihad, sacrifice; and expend his money for the
sake of restoring it.
"Palestine and Jerusalem is a holy Muslim land, part of the faith of
the Muslim ummah," Badie continued. "To forsake any part of it is to
forsake the ummah's civilization and faith. This is a great sin."
Agence France Presse (AFP) quoted Badie calling for a "Holy Jihad" to liberate Jerusalem from Israeli control in an Oct. 11, 2012 report.
"Jerusalem is Islamic ... and nobody is entitled to make concessions"
on the holy city, said Badie in his weekly message to supporters,
according to AFP.
"The jihad for the recovery of Jerusalem is a duty for all Muslims,"
he said, stressing that taking back Jerusalem "will not be done through
negotiations or at the United Nations."
The "apes and pigs" motif about Jews resurfaced in November
at a protest organized by the Brotherhood and its political arm,
Al-Qalyubi. Preacher Muhammad Ragab called on Muslims at the protest "to
raise the banner of jihad against the tyrannical, invading and wicked
sons of apes and pigs [i.e., the Jews], and to unite against the enemies
of Allah" during the protest.
But so long as Barack Hussein Obama remains in power in Washington, we can rest assured that this type of anti-Semitism will be ignored. Maybe Jeremiah Wright will return to the White House this term?
Side by side comparison of two Obama speeches on race
Here's more on Obama's racism. Here's a side-by-side comparison between the speech in the previous post and Obama's speech on racism in light of the Jeremiah Wright controversy. Note the contrast.
Here's a flashback to four years ago. Why does no one ask about President Obama's 20 years sitting in Reverend Wright's church?
The mainstream media seems to want to discuss Romney's Mormon faith. In the interest of fairness, I think we should again review the spiritual mentoring that Barack Obama received for 20 years.
20 years is an awfully long time to be listening to that stuff week after week. There's no doubt he was affected by it. Why didn't he get up and leave? Maybe because it appealed to him.
It's time to take another look at Barack Hussein Obama's church - a topic that was swept under the rug four years ago. You will find Reverend Wright's statements to be worse than you remember them being four years ago, and Obama's obfuscations worse than you remember them being four years ago.
‘Man, the media ate me alive,” Wright told me when we met in his office at Chicago’s Kwame Nkrumah Academy. “After the media went ballistic on me, I received an e-mail offering me money not to preach at all until the November presidential election.”
“Who sent the e-mail?” I asked Wright.
“It was from one of Barack’s closest friends.”
“He offered you money?”
“Not directly,” Wright said. “He sent the offer to one of the members of the church, who sent it to me.”
“How much money did he offer you?”
“One hundred and fifty thousand dollars,” Wright said.
“Did Obama himself ever make an effort to see you?”
“Yes,” Wright said. “Barack said he wanted to meet me in secret, in a secure place. And I said, ‘You’re used to coming to my home, you’ve been here countless times, so what’s wrong with coming to my home?’ So we met in the living room of the parsonage of Trinity United Church of Christ, at South Pleasant Avenue right off 95th Street, just Barack and me. I don’t know if he had a wire on him. His security was outside somewhere.
“And one of the first things Barack said was, ‘I really wish you wouldn’t do any more public speaking until after the November election.’ He knew I had some speaking engagements lined up, and he said, ‘I wish you wouldn’t speak. It’s gonna hurt the campaign if you do that.’
“And what did you say?” I asked. “I said, ‘I don’t see it that way. And anyway, how am I supposed to support my family?’ And he said, ‘Well, I wish you wouldn’t speak in public. The press is gonna eat you alive.’
For those who have forgotten, here are some samples of why President Obama may wish to silence the preacher in whose church he sat for 20 years.
Obama urged to reign in 'Global March to Jerusalem'
In an article published on Tuesday, Jonathan Schanzer urges President Obama to practice 'early intervention' against the 'Global March to Jerusalem.' The march is scheduled to take place on Friday.
The GMJ's international component may prove to be its Achilles' heel. The Obama administration still has time to warn Israel's neighbors that it will not tolerate a breach of the border. Similarly, Washington can warn other countries to block the exit of activists who are bound for the march.
Obama might even reach out to his old pastor, Jeremiah Wright, who sits on the GMJ advisory board.
The need for early intervention is compelling. The region is already on tilt, thanks to multiple Arab protest movements, and ongoing tensions over the Iranian nuclear program. The last thing we need now is a new conflict in the Palestinian territories.
A new uprising would be all the more dangerous if outsiders, with no ties to the land they'd be dragging to war, sparked it. They would pay no price for violence, and create untold unrest in a region that already has its fair share.
This sounds like an article that should have been written several weeks ago. We're now about 48 hours from the march, and I have seen no indication that President Obama is going to say a word to stop this from happening. That's not to say that anything he can say would necessarily help. But if he's going to try to intervene, he has shown no signs of it, and time is running short.
I've stayed out of the Derrick Bell controversy until now, mostly because someone I know was taught by Bell at Harvard and claimed that what's being reported in the media is blown up. But too much of Barack Hussein Obama's anti-Semitic past was ignored four years ago. It cannot be ignored again.
At Big Hollywood, Joel Pollak (if he had been elected to Congress in 2010, who would be doing this now?) posts a sermon from Obama's pastor, Jeremiah Wright, which discusses Bell's 'critical race theory.' That theory says that America was founded on racism and remains irredeemably racist. Let's see at where Jeremiah Wright took that theory while the future President of the United States sat in his church (and did not get up and walk out until 13 years later when he was a candidate for President) in 1995 (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
Jesus is a perfect model for the best type of faith. Jesus had a faith that did not avoid the realities of race. Modern reasoning tries to avoid the issue of race and pretend that race doesn't really matter.
That is a lie. Race does matter. Race is a reality that one cannot ignore. America was founded on racism. America lives and breathers racism. In this country, racism is as natural as motherhood, apple pie and the fourth of July....
What this country is is about racism from day one. The moment you take your first breath as a black person in this country, you have four strikes against you. You cannot ignore race.
Consider the case of Derrick Bell. Some people would rather fire an "uppity" Black lawyer like him than hire one woman of color. If you don't believe me, send for the transcript from Phil Donahue. Race matters in this country. There is no reason to pretend it doesn't. It doesn't make sense to bury one's head in the sand. Some of us want a Holy Ghost that is blind and dumb, one that will give us tongues but will not give us truth.
Some of us want to run past this issue of race and pretend that race does not really matter. However, Jesus had a faith that did not avoid the reality of race. He kept bringing up the Samaritan issue, because race does matter. Every time Jesus said the word "Samaritan," while talking to Jewish lawyers, it was just like saying the word "nigger" to some Klansmen in America.
Wright compares the Jews of the Second Temple period (when Jesus lived) to Klansmen. How can any Jew - even the secular Jews who don't make Israel a priority - vote for someone who continued to attend this man's church for 13 years after a speech like this? How can any Jew - even the secular Jews who don't make Israel a priority - donate money to the campaign of someone who continued to attend this man's church for 13 years after a speech like this and then claimed that he 'had never heard Wright use anti-American or racist rhetoric from the pulpit'?
Where does Ron Paul get his anti-Israel ideas? Apparently from a University of Chicago professor named Robert Pape.
But where did Paul get this idea? We learn exactly from whom in the next paragraph:
Robert Pape has extensively researched this issue and goes in depth in his book “Cutting the Fuse: The Explosion of Global Suicide Terrorism and How to Stop It.” In fact, of 2,200 incidents of suicide attacks he has studied worldwide since 1980, 95 percent were in response to foreign occupation.
It is essential to take note of the fact that the primary support for Paul’s belief concerning blowback comes from Robert Pape. The problem for Paul here is that by most accounts, Pape is an agenda-driven pseudo-scholar whose works and “studies” have been thoroughly debunked by several other scholars.
Here's an interview with Pape. The part that relates to Israel starts around the 8:00 mark.
Let's go to the videotape.
When Pape makes his claims about Lebanon, he conveniently 'forgets' the suicide attack that murdered Rafik al-Hariri in 2005. He also doesn't define 'occupation,' and given that most 'Palestinians' consider any Jewish presence in the Levant as 'occupation' and therefore his position (and Paul's - you can hear Paul's positions in Pape's words) is untenable for Israel.
But Pape is likely Paul's intellectual guide, just like Wright was Obama's.
But as happened in 2008, the Obama campaign relied on a surrogate to make charges of racism. Just as Team Obama left it to James Clyburn to play the race card on Bill Clinton, this time Team Obama left it to Tad Devine, a senior Democratic operative. As reported in The Hill:
Democratic strategist Tad Devine, an adviser to the Al Gore and John Kerry presidential campaigns, accused Mitt Romney’s campaign of invoking the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright in a recent ad.
Devine said Wednesday that he was “shocked” to see what he believed was imagery of an African-American church in an ad released Tuesday by Romney’s campaign team and airing in New Hampshire. The ad, Romney’s first of the campaign, is “clearly an attempt to bring back Rev. Wright and race,” Devine tweeted.
The charge is based on two images which float through the video so quickly you’ll miss them if you blink. Again as reported by The Hill:
In the ad, a series of images including those of a foreclosed home and empty businesses flash by as text criticizes President Obama’s economic record. But at two points, the imagery cuts to well-dressed African-American women walking down a large hallway, and pans over a predominantly black audience.
“It appears to be a congregation of African-American people,” Devine told The Hill. “In the first scene there are no white people at all, in the second … it is all African Americans except possibly one person, [whose race] you can’t really tell.”
Devine said he believes these images were selected intentionally to invoke race and the controversy involving Wright, the president’s former pastor.
I never heard of Tad Devine before, but he is pathetic and disgusting in his role of race card player.
First, the notion that showing images of blacks in a video is an attempt to invoke Jeremiah Wright is preposterous. There also were plenty of whites in the video; momentary flashes of non-whites does not give the video a racial overtone.
Second, and most important, this was nothing more than a pre-emptive Democratic attempt to make it toxic for anyone to bring up Obama’s long association with Wright by making charges of racism even when Wright is not mentioned. That shows you how much the Democrats fear a true investigation of Obama’s background and his ridiculously incredible claims that he did not know that his pastor and mentor was a race-baiting flame thrower.
Republicans should be making an issue of Jeremiah Wright - explicitly and not just through a picture flashing by. It's not racist. Jeremiah Wright is a hate-mongerer and the fact that Barack Obama spent 20 years in his church speaks volumes as to who Barack Obama is and why he should not be reelected President, especially for a term in which he would essentially be a lame duck for four years.
No Republican candidate should win the nomination without openly attacking Obama for his associations with Wright, Ayers, Khalidi etc. They are extremely relevant. We had enough of ignoring them four years ago.
Caroline Glick on the 'off mic' conversation between French President Nicolas Sarkozy and US President Barack Hussein Obama, which came to light last week.
These statements are interesting both for what they say about the two presidents' characters and for what they say about the way that Israel is perceived by the West more generally.
To understand why this is the case it is necessary to first ask, when has Netanyahu ever lied to Sarkozy and Obama? This week the UN International Atomic Energy Agency's report about Iran's nuclear weapons program made clear that Israel - Netanyahu included - has been telling the truth about Iran and its nuclear ambitions all along. In contrast, world leaders have been lying and burying their heads in the sand.
Since Iran's nuclear weapons program was first revealed to the public in 2004, Israel has provided in-depth intelligence information proving Iran's malign intentions to the likes of Sarkozy, Obama and the UN. And for seven years, the US government - Obama included - has claimed that it lacked definitive proof of Iran's intentions.
Obama wasted the first two years of his administration attempting to charm the Iranians out of their nuclear weapons program. He stubbornly ignored the piles of evidence presented to him by Israel that Iran was not interested in cutting a deal.
Perhaps Obama was relying on the US's 2007 National Intelligence Estimate about Iran's nuclear weapons program. As Israel said at the time, and as this week's IAEA report proves, it was the NIE - which claimed that Iran abandoned its nuclear weapons program in 2003 - not Israel that deliberately lied about the status of Iran's nuclear weapons program. It was the US intelligence community that purposely deceived the American government and people about the gravest immediate threat to US national security.
Israel, including Netanyahu, was telling the truth.
So if Netanyahu never lied about Iran, what might these two major world leaders think he lies about? Why don't they want to speak with him anymore? Could it be they don't like the way he is managing their beloved "peace process" with the Palestinians? The fact is that the only times Netanyahu has spoken less than truthfully about the Palestinians were those instances when he sought to appease the likes of Obama and Sarkozy. Only when Netanyahu embraced the false claims of the likes of Obama and Sarkozy that it is possible to reach a peace deal with the Palestinians based on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state west of the Jordan River could it be said that he made false statements.
Because the truth is that Israel never had a chance of achieving peace with the Palestinians.
And the reason this has always been the case has nothing to do with Netanyahu or Israel.
Let's all of us face the truth: With the exception of a few people in the US, and an even lesser number (and percentage) of people in Europe, and other western countries (Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc.) most of the world couldn't care less about us. In fact, they'd rather see us destroyed. They are practitioners of the World's oldest hatred. They - including Obama and Sarkozy - are anti-Semites.
Obama shared podium with virulent anti-Semites in '07
I posted things like this over and over again in 2007 and 2008 and very few people listened. I debated whether to cover this story at all this time. But I decided that perhaps now, with three years of America's post-racial President and his contemptuous treatment of Israel behind us, seeing this kind of thing will influence some of you not to support his reelection campaign regardless of who the Republican nominee is (Ron Paul possibly excepted, in which case I allow you to stay home to pack for your move to Israel).
Andrew Breitbart posted the picture above as part of a larger story on Monday about Barack Hussein Obama, then a Senator from Illinois and a candidate for President, marching with the New Black Panther party in 2007 (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
New photographs obtained exclusively by BigGovernment.com reveal that Barack Obama appeared and marched with members of the New Black Panther Party as he campaigned for president in Selma, Alabama in March 2007.
The photographs, captured from a Flickr photo-sharing account before it was scrubbed, are the latest evidence of the mainstream media’s failure to examine Obama’s extremist ties and radical roots.
In addition, the new images raise questions about the possible motives of the Obama administration in its infamous decision to drop the prosecution of the Panthers for voter intimidation.
The images, presented below, also renew doubts about the transparency of the White House’s guest logs–in particular, whether Panther National Chief Malik Zulu Shabazz is the same “Malik Shabazz” listed among the Obama administration’s early visitors.
The book exposes Obama administration corruption far beyond the Panther dismissal, and reveals how the institutional Left has turned the power of the DOJ into an ideological weapon.
Adams’s book also describes, in detail, the Selma march at which then-Senator Obama was joined by a group of Panthers who had come to support his candidacy.
Among those appearing with Obama was Shabazz, the Panther leader who was one of the defendants in the voter intimidation case that Attorney General Eric Holder dismissed. Also present was the Panthers’ “Minister of War,” Najee Muhammed, who had called for murdering Dekalb County, Georgia, police officers with AK-47’s and then mocking their widows in this video (7:20 – 8:29).
Injustice includes a disturbing photo of Shabazz and the Panthers marching behind Obama with raised fists in the “Black Power” salute.
...
It is true that then-Senator Hillary Clinton and Al Sharpton were also in Selma at the same event. But the Panthers explicitly came to Selma to support Obama, as Adams details in Injustice.
They spoke with Obama at the podium shown above, and departed together with Obama for the main march itself, as shown by this grainer image captured from YouTube:
Obama seems not to be reviled by the Panthers in any of the video or photographs. And Obama’s own campaign website would post an endorsement by the New Black Panther Party in March 2008. As Adams writes in Injustice:
Somehow, the fact that the future President of the United States shared a podium with leaders of the New Black Panthers, marched with them, and received a public, formal greeting from their party has vanished from the history of Obama’s campaign. Apart from [Juan] Williams’ single dispatch, no other media outlets ever reported it.
After NPR initially reported that the Panthers were present at the event with Obama, subsequent reports from Selma omitted any mention of the hate group appearing with the future President.
Had any of Obama’s opponents appeared at an event with the KKK or Aryan Nation, The New York Times would have had to double its ink buy.
Read the whole thing. Anyone who followed the Jeremiah Wright story during the 2008 campaign cannot be too surprised by this. It fits the pattern. In fact, I am waiting for a White House statement that Obama didn't know who Malik Shabbaz and the New Black Panthers are and what they stand for. Astoundingly, the same low class scum that harass Andrew Breitbart through his Twitter account are doing so with respect to this story as well. I cannot tell you that they're in denial - they probably support the NBPP's goals.
I don’t buy into theories that Obama is a secret radical interested in pushing an extreme Panther agenda. But he does have an alarming pattern of association with anti-Semitic conspiracy peddlers, whether it’s for political gain or because he feels some sort of camaraderie with them.
Shabazz gained notoriety for leading anti-Semitic chants in the mid-90’s (“Who is it that controls the Federal Reserve? “The Jews!”). And in 2005 – just two years before Obama reportedly shared a stage with him at a campaign event – Shabazz penned the forward for a book entitled “Synagogue of Satan.” In case the title doesn’t give it away, it’s apparently a book full of noxious conspiracy theories about Jewish manipulation of foreign policy. From the Anti-Defamation League summary:
The book’s overarching theme is that unknown to most, the world is being manipulated and corrupted by Satanic powers led by Jewish elites. In exposing these powers, the book trades heavily in Jewish conspiracy theories and Holocaust denial. It alleges that these Satanic powers are influenced and guided by the theology of Judaism, and by an inherent Jewish predilection for immorality.
The ADL calls the New Black Panther Party “the most anti-Semitic and racist black militant group in the U.S.” The group hasn’t commented yet on the photos Breitbart published.
Goodman suggests that seeing these photos and Obama's ties to the NBPP could set off 'alarm bells' among Jewish voters. Given that 78% of American Jews voted for Obama despite the Jeremiah Wright story in 2008, I am doubtful that any alarm bells could be loud enough to wake the Jews from their catatonic stupor of voting Democrat.
So does the return of Jeremiah Wright to the public view mean that Obama has given up on being re-elected? Or is he going to stuff Wright back in his Jack-in-the-Box before he can do any more damage?
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004.
