Obscenity personified: Obama lies, stabs Israel in the back, wishes us a Happy Chanuka

Shavua tov, a good week to everyone. And a freilichen (Happy) Chanuka too.

The title of this post was stolen from a tweet by Anne Bayefsky after the United States abstained in the Security Council on Friday, allowing a resolution to pass that condemns as 'a flagrant violation' of 'international law' Israel's 'settlements' in the 'West Bank' and 'east' Jerusalem.

Will this resolution matter? John Bolton thinks it will. Let's go to the videotape.

Meanwhile the killing in Syria continues, but since there are no Jews involved, no one cares.

What better time to break with 50 years of US policy in the Middle East and try to impose a 'solution.'

Oh and guess what the mamzer was doing at the very moment he let the resolution pass... he was wishing all the stupid Jews who voted for him a Happy Chanuka.

Thanks for the stab in the back Obama.

While the resolution has not woken up too many Democrats to the fact that Obama's a Jew hater, it has woken up the Israeli government. In fact, Prime Minister Netanyahu claims that Obama had specifically promised to veto any UN resolutions in his last days in office.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday accused President Barack Obama of breaching a specific commitment to Israel by allowing through Friday’s UN Security Council anti-settlements resolution, and compared the outgoing president’s behavior to that of predecessor Jimmy Carter, “a president who was hostile to Israel.”
Vowing not to be forced by international pressure into withdrawing from disputed territory, he said the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump had indicated that it would join an all-out war against what he called a “shameful” and “scandalous” decision.
He described the 14-0 vote in the Security Council, with the US abstaining, as “the swan song of the old world that is anti-Israel.” Now, he said, “we are entering a new era. And as President-elect Trump said, it’s going to happen a lot faster than people think.”
In this new era, it will a lot more costly for those who seek to harm Israel, he warned.
Practically speaking, Netanyahu also announced that Israel was re-evaluating all of its dealings with the United Nations, and that he had already instructed officials to cut off “30 million shekels ($7.8 million) of funding for five UN bodies that are particularly hostile to Israel.” More such action will follow, he promised.
He noted that he had recalled Israel’s ambassadors from New Zealand and Senegal, two of the four countries that sponsored the resolution that have diplomatic relations with Israel. Israeli aid to Senegal has also been halted, he said.
I think he should recall his ambassadors from the UK and France and Egypt as well, and call the US and Russian ambassadors in for a dressing down.

Netanyahu had more to say.
The US abstention came in “a complete contradiction” to a “specific commitment by President Obama in 2011,” he said. It was “a shameful anti-Israel ambush” by the administration, he said.
“The whole Middle East is going up in flames,” he said, “and the Obama administration and the Security Council” target Israel, the region’s only democracy. “How shameful.”
...
US legislators intend to pass a law to punish states or organizations, including the UN, that seek to hurt Israel. The US alone, he noted, provides a quarter of the UN’s funding.
He said Israel was “on a journey” to improve its relations with the nations of the world. “It could be that this scandalous decision yesterday will accelerate this process. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Yesterday’s decision is a recruitment call to all our many friends in the US and around the world — friends who have had enough of the UN’s hostile treatment of Israel and who intend to push fundamental change at the UN.”
Therefore, he said, invoking the spirit of the Hanukkah festival which began on Saturday, “the light will oust the darkness.”
Speedily and in our times.

#UNESCO_lies avoids revote, finalizes resolution denying Jewish connection to Temple Mount, director general receives death threats

After last week's UNESCO vote denying the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount, Mexico, which had voted in favor, fired its (Jewish) ambassador to UNESCO who walked out in protest, and then announced that it was demanding a revote in which it would abstain on the resolution. Brazil, which had also voted in favor, decided that it too could no longer support the resolution.

But it was all for naught.  UNESCO's Executive Board decided a short while ago that the resolution 'was adopted.' There will be no revote.

Meanwhile, UNESCO's Director General, Irina Bukova, has received death threats for comments she made opposing the resolution.
Bokova said following the drafted resolutions "nowhere more than in Jerusalem do Jewish, Christian and Muslim heritage and traditions share space".

“To deny, conceal or erase any of the Jewish, Christian or Muslim traditions undermines the integrity of the site, and runs counter to the reasons that justified its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage list [in 1981],” she stated on Friday.
I'm sure UNESCO would call her murder an 'honor killing.'

Israel's Education Ministry said on Friday that it is suspending all cooperation with UNESCO, a step that goes further than Israel's (and the United States') previous decisions to suspend their contributions to the agency, a decision President Obama has unsuccessfully attempted to reverse on several occasions.

Deja vu all over again: Israel charges UN employee with providing aid to Hamas in Gaza

It's been just five days since Israel charged the head of the World Vision charity in Gaza with siphoning off $43 million for Hamas in the last six years.

Now, an employee of the United Nations' Gaza development agency, UNDP, has been charged with aiding Hamas.
Israel's Shin Bet internal security agency said 38-year-old Waheed Borsh has worked as an engineer for UNDP, the U.N. development agency, for 13 years. It said he was arrested in July and confessed to using his position to help Hamas.
The Shin Bet said Borsh used UNDP resources last year to build a jetty for Hamas' naval forces and that he persuaded his managers to prioritize the reconstruction of houses damaged in conflicts with Israel in areas where Hamas members lived.
Israel's Foreign Ministry said it has informed U.N. officials of the arrest and the allegations and expects the U.N. to "take concrete measures to ensure that humanitarian activities actually assist those in need in Gaza instead of assisting the terrorist leaders of Hamas."
Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon said he was concerned about a "worrying trend of U.N. exploitation by Hamas."
A U.N. spokesman in Jerusalem could not immediately be reached.
Imagine what would happen if Israel didn't have a 'blockade' of Gaza in place.

Priorities: Obama and Rice want US to re-fund UNESCO

With the United States trillions of dollars in debt, President Obama and National Security Adviser Lazy Susan Rice have their priorities in order. The wrong order. They want Congress to re-fund UNESCO.
"Shameful that US has lost its vote at #UNESCO," Rice wrote on Twitter. "Congress needs to fix this. Current law doesn't punish the Palestinians; it handicaps the US."
...
Analysts have said that by losing its vote, the United States is foregoing and important opportunity to exercise "soft power" - the ability to exert international influence through other means than brute force or money. That gap is likely to be filled by other emerging global powers, such as China, they say.
"UNESCO directly advances US interests in supporting girls' and women's education, facilitating important scientific research, promoting tolerance, protecting and preserving the world's natural and cultural heritage, supporting freedom of the press, and much more," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Friday.
UNESCO also granted membership to an imaginary state called 'Palestine.' That action forced funding to be canceled under US law. And if that law is changed, 'Palestine' will likely be a full member of the General Assembly next week. That would really motivate the 'Palestinians' to negotiate in good faith, wouldn't it?

Boo. Hoo. UNESCO 'crippled' by US funding cut over 'Palestinians'

UNESCO is whining that it's 'crippled' due to funding cuts imposed by the United States after UNESCO admitted the 'Palestinians.'
The UN body has been forced to slash spending, freeze job hires and cut programs after losing the US funding, which had made up 22 percent of its budget, UNESCO's Irina Bokova told reporters.
The organization, which designates World Heritage sites, promotes global education and supports press freedom among other tasks, had started the year with a deficit of $150 million out of $653 million for its budget over 2012 and 2013, Bokova said.
"It's crippling our capacity to deliver," she added.
"We are coping in very difficult circumstances. We're fundraising this year, but it's not sustainable on a long-term basis. We're not closing UNESCO, but member states will have to rethink the way forward. UNESCO will be crippled."
US legislation prohibits funding to any UN agency that grants full membership to any group that does not have "internationally recognized attributes" of statehood.

...

Bokova said it was in US interests to be part of UNESCO and hoped Washington would review its position before next year when it would be stripped of voting rights for not paying its dues.
"There is money in the world, but it's not just about money," Bokova said. "We need the United States to formulate common policies and to debate common values."
Boo. Hoo. Maybe they should have thought about this before they admitted the 'Palestinians.'

Please don't trick or treat for UNICEF

Every year around this time, I warn those of you whose children go out to 'trick or treat' on Halloween not to support UNICEF. Here are some reasons why you should not support UNICEF:

In March 2010, UNICEF published an ad that called for boycotting Israel.

In September 2009, it was disclosed that UNICEF was routing donations through Iran's Bank Melli, which is under international sanction for assisting in Iran's nuclear proliferation program.

In June 2008, UNICEF refused to take money from Israeli businessman Lev Leviev, but just a day later it was disclosed that UNICEF was accepting donations from the Islamic International Relief Organization, a 'charity' with connections to al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

UNICEF supports summer camps run by Hamas at which 'Palestinian' children are given military training. Yes, those same camps that are named after suicide terrorists are sponsored by UNICEF.

Yid with Lid has more on UNICEF's recent activities here.

When the kids come to the door, please give them a Kit Kat instead.

UN partners in campaign to present female terrorist to Arab world as role model

I could have headlined this one as "your tax dollars at work," but I just did that in the last post.

The UN is participating in a campaign to present 'women's issues' to the Arab world. As part of that campaign, a clip was broadcast on more than 50 television stations in Arab countries presenting "model women." One of the women presented - as a model of 'martyrdom' and 'victory over enmity' - was Dalal al-Mughrabi, who led the terror attack that killed the largest number of Israelis ever killed in one attack (37). It's known as the 'Coastal Road attack' and occurred in 1978. Al-Mughrabi was also killed in the attack and is frequently presented as a 'martyr' by the 'Palestinian Authority.'

Let's go to the videotape.

The website explains that "women are essential partners and important actors for the development of society," and mentions that one of the campaign's objectives is "to bring about distinguished women samples that have offered great services to society."

It further states that "societies signal distinguished samples of personalities with pride, and reflect the spot lights on them in order for them [Arab women] to take an inspirational course for generations to come. Arabic societies like other societies, highly appreciate figures where great virtues of giving transcend in different fields, and there is nothing greater than distinguished women in our societies, as they are great models to be followed by the old or the young, these women can be the working farmers, the teachers, the doctors, the engineers, the scientists, the lawyers, the activists in all fields whether social or political, they are the ones to sacrifice, and in all of their cases, they are the mothers!" [http://www.whitehandsc.com/en/component/content/51.html?task=view ]
If you go to the campaign's home page, click on "People behind the campaign" and scroll down, you will find the UN agency - with a summary of its work - listed at the bottom. This is the page.

Read the whole thing.

The 'Palestinian Authority' regards Dalal al-Mughrabi as a national heroine. More on instances of the 'Palestinian Authority' honoring her here, here, here and here. She was also honored by al-Jazeera here and here.
