UNICEF: 'We don't want your money'

At the 'request' of the Arab rights group Adalah, UNICEF has announced that it will no longer accept contributions from Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev. The reason: Leviev's companies built Jewish housing on land in Judea and Samaria.
Adalah-NY launched a campaign against Leviev whereby they appealed to the UN children's fund UNICEF to cut its connection with the Israeli businessman, the report said. UNICEF has received direct and indirect funding from Leviev over the years.

Following its review of the charges set by Adalah-NY, the UN group decided to end its relationship with Leviev after concluding that there was "at least a reasonable grounds for suspecting" his company had supported West Bank construction, Reuters reported.

"I can confirm that UNICEF has advised Adalah in New York that it will not be entering into any partnerships or accepting financial contributions from Lev Leviev or his corporate people," Chris de Bono, a senior adviser to the executive director of UNICEF, told Reuters.

"We are aware of the controversy surrounding Mr. Leviev because of his reported involvement in construction work in the occupied Palestinian territory," de Bono said, adding that it was UNICEF's policy to have partners who were "as non-controversial as possible."
Leviev is no stranger to controversy. He was involved in controversy several years ago when he bought the shopping mall in Ramat Aviv and insisted that it be closed on the Sabbath. In other words, he's my kind of guy!

So when UNICEF comes to your door next year on Halloween to ask for money, tell them they must not need any since they're turning down perfectly good Jewish contributions!

They love the children but they will not be soiled by Jews helping them. Gee, where have we heard that before from the Jew-hating United Nations? I will never contribute a cent to UNICEF - after all, they don't want to be infected by Jews whose only desire is to help kids!

Lev Leviev has a great deal of love for his fellow Jews. That makes him a mensch - yasher koach in my book! I hope he continues to build homes for them in Judea and Samaria and throughout Eretz Israel and tells the UN to take their visceral hatred for Jews and shove it where the sun don't shine!

The UN and its UNICEF et al and the Arabs are very good at shooting themselves in the foot.

I hope they keep it up.

As Abba Eban said, "The Arabs never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity).
