Labour's Jeremy Corbyn's campaign was financed by Hamas
Two of the three largest donors to British Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn's campaign are connected to Hamas according to a report in London's Daily Telegraph.
The Labour leader made an inaccurate declaration to Parliamentary authorities about the payment which obscured the donor’s true identity.
Ibrahim Hamami, a vitriolic opponent of the Oslo peace accords and a
supporter of the current wave of stabbings of Jews in Israel, gave
£2,000 to Mr Corbyn in August, one of only three main individual donors
to his campaign. Two of the three have now been exposed as supporters of
terror.
Mr Corbyn listed the
donation in the Commons register of members’ interests as being from “Dr
Ibrahim Hamam”, but Dr Hamami confirmed to the Telegraph on Saturday
that he was the donor.
Mr Corbyn’s spokesman declined to answer questions about the donation or why it had been reported incorrectly. Mr Corbyn has close links with many terrorist groups, including the IRA and Hamas.
...
Last week on his Facebook page, Dr Hamami praised the recent
violence, which has seen seven Israelis killed and about 50 wounded in
stabbings, shootings or attacks with cars over the last two weeks in
what some are dubbing the “third intifada.”
He described the attacks as acts of “dignity, freedom and honour".
Dr Hamami helped organise the UK visit of the notorious extremist Raed
Saleh, who has described Jews as “bacteria” and “monkeys” and promoted
the blood libel, saying they use the blood of gentile children to bake
their bread.
He acted as Saleh’s spokesman and visited him in jail after he was detained by UK immigration authorities.
Saleh was defended by Mr Corbyn, who called him “a very honoured
citizen who represents his people extremely well” and said he “looked
forward to giving you tea on the [House of Commons] terrace”.
Dr
Hamami is well known to Mr Corbyn, who has described Hamas operatives
as “friends” and has at least twice shared public platforms with him.
One of the events, on 24 February 2013, was organised by Interpal, a a
British charity banned by the US government as “part of the funding
network of Hamas” and as a terrorist organisation in its own right.
...
A second individual donor to Mr Corbyn’s leadership campaign has also been exposed as a supporter of Palestinian terror.
Ted Honderich, a retired professor at University College, London, who
gave £5,000, wrote in a newspaper in 2011 that Palestinians “have a
moral right to their terrorism within historic Palestine against
neo-Zionism”.
If Corbyn ever becomes Prime Minister of England, will he be welcomed in other countries? Here's betting that so long as Hussein Obama remains in office, Corbyn will be a welcome guest at the White House.
London Holocaust Day speaker admires Hitler, hates Jews
I'd like you all to meet Hassan Farooq. Farooq was a Holocaust Day speaker in London in 2013.
Let's go to the videotape.
But a British organization called Stand for Peace has done an investigation into Mr. Farouq and has found some very disturbing things.
Hassan Farooq is a a “senior member” of the Newham Dawah Team, an East
London-based organisation which attempts to spread the message of
Islam. Newham Dawah Team is part of the Islamic Education and Research
Academy (iERA) Network, and its officials regularly liaise with iERA officials such as Abdurraheem Green. The iERA is an extremist Salafi group, some of whose officials have been banned from the UK. Abdurraheem Green talks of a Jewish “stench” and advocates the killing of homosexuals.
Here are some choice tweets from Mr. Farooq's Twitter account.
French intelligence services planned to assassinate a leading
Islamist cleric in Britain and disguise their operation as a neo-Nazi
attack, according to an explosive report by anti-extremism group Hope
Not Hate.
The plan to kill the infamous hook-handed hate-preacher Abu Hamza al
Masri, was the result of growing frustration by French security
services over the inaction of British authorities in the
face of the growing threat of Islamist terrorism. Specifically, the
French suspected Abu Hamza of having links to the terrorists responsible
for the 1995 Paris Metro bombings.
The "Gateway To Terror" report alleges that French officials were so
"fed up" with the lack of action by their British counterparts that they
sought to "take matters into their own hands". They often referred to
the British capital as "Londonistan", due to the apparent impunity with
which al Qaeda and other Islamist networks were able to operate there.
...
The report also claims that prior to the assassination attempt, which
was never carried out, French agents had planned to kidnap Abu Hamza
from his London home and smuggle him to France on a ferry.
That plan, which was also aborted for unknown reasons, was the result
of French concerns over an attack by Algerian terrorists linked to Abu
Hamza on the 1998 World Cup soccer tournament.
The French intelligence agency also apparently planned to "take out" other senior British Islamists, according to the report.
After a long and controversial
legal battle and following several years in a British jail, in 2012 Abu
Hamza was extradited to the US over a range of serious terrorism
charges.
On the London-Tel Aviv leg of my flight on Tuesday, I was sitting next to a Leftist, professor-looking type (so I conclude from the facts that he spoke unaccented Hebrew, read English and had a very different meal than mine) who was reading an article in the Financial Times about Britain's intent to become the largest Islamic banking center in the world outside the Middle East.
The latest pro-City move will be unveiled on Tuesday at the ninth World Islamic Economic Forum, known as the “Islamic Davos”. The Treasury hopes to launch a bond-like sukuk worth about £200m next year.
The plan – which has been worked on for many years – will be announced by David Cameron and is endorsed by Mr Osborne in the Financial Times as a means of stimulating Islamic investment in London and Britain.
“While others in the western world resist change, this government is
embracing it: banging the drum for British businesses, seeking out new
markets, welcoming overseas investment with open arms,” the chancellor
writes.
Mr Osborne hopes that corporate institutions will follow suit and issue sukuk bonds, promoting Islamic investment and generating more cash to fund British infrastructure.
Mr Cameron will also tell the London conference of plans for a new
Islamic index at the London Stock Exchange as a means of identifying
Islamic-compliant business activities.
However the Treasury is conscious of the possible political
ramifications of the plan, notably any suggestion that the issuance of a
sukuk bond might require the British government to restrict its dealings with Israeli-owned businesses.
But what does it mean when the British government is creating a huge bond issue that's designed for Muslim investors? Soeren Kern believes that the British government is on a path to establish two parallel financial systems - one like every other western economy and one that is Islamic. and this quote from British Prime Minister David Cameron sounds downright ominous.
Cameron said the new Islamic bond index on the London Stock Exchange
(LSE) would help stimulate fixed-income investments from Muslim
investors -- especially investors from oil-rich Persian Gulf countries
-- by helping them identify which listed companies adhere to Islamic
principles.
Investors who practice Islamic finance -- which is said to be
structured to conform to a strict code of ethics based on the Koran and
Sharia law -- refuse to invest in companies that are linked to alcohol,
gambling, pornography, tobacco, weapons or pork. Islamic finance also
forbids collecting or paying interest and requires that deals be based
on tangible assets.
And unlike the Financial Times, Kern believes that Israeli companies that hope to list in London might be hurt by this as well.
The Treasury also said some sukuk bond issues may require the
British government to restrict its dealings with Israeli-owned companies
in order to attract Muslim money.
Oh, and by the way, Islamic money is already a powerful force in London.
Britain is already the leading Western center for Islamic financial
and related professional services. It is a leading provider of
Sharia-compliant finance, with reported assets of $19 billion, according
to Islamic Finance 2013, a new report published by The City UK, a financial sector lobby group.
Britain is home to 22 Islamic banks, of which six are fully
Sharia-compliant. This is substantially more than in any other Western
country or offshore center and is more than double the number in the
United States.
In addition, 25 law firms are now supplying services in Islamic
finance, which is increasingly being used for major infrastructure
projects in London.
Islamic investment has financed London's Shard skyscraper -- the tallest building in the European Union -- and the 2012 Olympic Village. Middle Eastern investors own Harrods, London's most famous luxury department store, and the Manchester City football team.
Qualifications in Islamic finance are being offered by four
professional institutes and at least 16 universities and business
schools.
London is also a leader in Islamic retail banking services, with
institutions offering a range of Islamic banking products, such as
mortgages and car loans.
The growing demand for Islamic retail banking services is being
propelled by the demographic transformation taking place in Britain. The
Muslim population of Britain will top 3.3 million sometime before the
end of 2013 to reach around 5.2% of the overall population of 63
million, according to figures extrapolated from a recent study on the growth of the Muslim population in Europe.
This demographic earthquake -- which is being attributed to
large-scale immigration, coupled with high Muslim birth rates and
growing numbers of British converts -- is transforming the country's
business landscape.
The Guardian notes that the British government has already had to step in once to ensure there was no discrimination against Israel.
The government moved on Monday night to offer assurances that the
Islamic bond, or Sukuk, and the Islamic index would not encourage
investments that discriminate against Israel. Boris Johnson was forced
to order Transport for London to rewrite the contract for the Emirates
Thames cable car in the summer amid fears that Israeli companies could
have been blocked from involvement in the project. The United Arab
Emirates does not recognise the state of Israel.
The Emirates Thames cable car is a cable car that crosses the Thames River near Greenwich, and is included in the Oyster card, the London public transport card.
But if you're a Brit, here's what ought to sound most ominous.
Speaking on a stage that included Jordanian King Abdullah and the Sultan
of Brunei, Cameron dismissed criticism of increasing foreign ownership
in Britain: "I know some people look at foreign companies investing in
our businesses, financing our infrastructure or taking over our football
clubs and ask, shouldn't we do something to stop it? Well, let me tell
you, the answer is no."
I guess Cameron thinks he won't be around by the time they say 'convert or die.' What could go wrong?
An Orthodox Jewish security patrol in North London has agreed to protect a mosque (Hat Tip: Will).
The Shomrim patrol group accepted a request for protection by the North
London Community Centre in Cazenove Road, an Islamic institution
situated in the heavily-Jewish Borough of Hackney in northern London.
The deal was brokered at a recent meeting
coordinated by Ian Sharer, a member of the local council, the Hackney
Gazette reported this week.
It came following a rise in anti-Muslim
attacks after the slaying of a British soldier on May 22 in London. The
suspect, a 22-year-old Muslim extremist, was filmed holding a large
knife over the soldier’s decapitated body. A second suspect was charged
with attempted murder and is believed to have acted as an accomplice.
Tell Mama, a watchdog on hate crime, recorded
212 incidents in the nine days that followed the murder, including 120
online. In 2012, the same group documented 12 anti-Muslim incidents per
week on average and 624 in total.
Sharer, who is Jewish, told the Gazette that
he was asked by “Muslim friends to chair the meeting. The meeting was a
great success. The Shomrim patrols have agreed to include the local
mosques and other buildings as part of their routine patrols.”
I am tempted to end this post with "what could go wrong?" but then I would not be clear where I stand on this. I'm ashamed. Ashamed that Jews feel the need to protect our enemies. From what? Islamophobia?
British Prime Minister David Cameron called the beheading of a British soldier by the thuggish Muslim convert pictured above a 'betrayal of Islam.' Really?
"This was not
just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life, it was also a betrayal
of Islam and of the Muslim communities who give so much to our country. There is
nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act."
The British
Muslim community had been quick to condemn the attack, but Muslim leaders
speaking to the British media cautioned the British government against being
quick to brand the killing a terror attack. The appeal apparently fell on deaf
ears.
"This country will be absolutely resolute in its stand against
violent extremism and terror," Cameron said, on the steps of his Downing Street
residence. "We will never give in to terror or terrorism in any of its forms."
'We're not terrorists, and we'll behead any infidel who says we are.'
Cameron doesn't get it. It's not a betrayal of Islam. Murdering infidels is what Islam is all about.
Sounds like he and US Secretary of State John FN Kerry (see previous post) were trained at the same school for morons. And I thought Kerry was French....
British pro-Israel blogger assaulted for trying to film anti-Israel event
British blogger Richard Millett was assaulted on Monday night as he tried to film a public anti-Israel event in Londonistan. The full story with several videos is here.
Here's one of the videos. Let's go to the videotape.
Make sure to read the whole thing and watch all the videos. I guess this is what passes for free speech in Britain these days.
British Lord offers £10 million bounty for Obama and Bush
On Sunday, I saw and retweeted a survey in the Sun that indicates that 48% of Britons would rather live elsewhere. While the rise of Islam was not one of the factors named in the survey, perhaps that's because the British media are too politically correct to name it as an option for why you want to leave. If I lived in Britain (God forbid), stories like the one I am about to post would make me want to leave.
A British Lord - that's right, a member of the House of Lords - has offered a £10 million bounty on the heads of former President George W. Bush and current President Barack Hussein Obama (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
During a recent visit to Pakistan, Lord Nazir Ahmed, a member of the British House of Lords who originally hails from Pakistani Kashmir, announced he was putting up a bounty of £10 million for the capture of U.S. President Barack Obama and his predecessor, George W. Bush. The announcement, made at a conference held in the Pakistani town of Haripur, came in response to a recent U.S. announcement offering a $10 million reward to anyone providing information leading to the capture of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, founder of the Pakistani jihadi organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and emir of LeT's charity arm, Jamaatud Dawa.[1]
Stressing the seriousness of his offer, Lord Ahmed said he would back the bounty at any cost, even if it meant selling his house. Qazi Muhammad Asad, minister for education in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government, was among those present at the conference at which the announcement was made.
Read the whole thing. Lashkar-e-Taiba was responsible for the Mumbai terror attacks in which more than 160 people were murdered in November 2008. Among those murdered were Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holzberg HY"D (May God avenge their blood), who were murdered with particular brutality.
Labour party lawmaker 'Lord' Ahmed has been 'suspended.'
Lord Ahmed, 53, who in 1998 became the first Muslim life peer, was reported to have made the comments at a conference in Haripur in Pakistan.
A Labour Party spokesman said: "We have suspended Lord Ahmed pending investigation. If these comments are accurate we utterly condemn these remarks which are totally unacceptable."
According to Pakistan's Express Tribune newspaper Lord Ahmed offered the bounty in response to a US action a week ago.
The US issued a $10 million reward for the capture of Pakistani militant leader Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba group, who it suspects of orchestrating the 2008 Mumbai attacks in which 166 people died as terrorists stormed hotels and a train station.
The British peer reportedly said: "'If the US can announce a reward of $10 million for the (capture) of Hafiz Saeed, I can announce a bounty of £10 million (for the capture of) President Obama and his predecessor, George Bush."
...
Speaking from Pakistan to the Press Association he challenged the Labour Party to provide evidence for the suspension.
He said: "They have suspended me? That's a surprise to me. I did not know.
"I never said those words. I did not offer a bounty. I said that there have been war crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan and those people who have got strong allegations against them - George W Bush and Tony Blair - have been involved in illegal wars and should be brought to justice.
"I do not think there's anything wrong with that. If the Labour Party want to suspend me I will deal with the Labour Party. They will have to give me some evidence."
'Lord' Ahmed should be expelled from the Labour party and from Britain and sent back to Pakistan where he belongs. Maybe then Britain could make it back into the 21st century.
British MP Mike Freer was threatened by 'peaceful' Muslims on Friday as he tried to meet constituents in a North Finchley mosque.
Mr Freer said about 12 people forced their way inside, with one of them calling him a "Jewish homosexual pig".
The trouble began after messages on the Muslims Against Crusades website urged supporters to target him, he said.
Mr Freer said a message posted ahead of the incident on the group's website made reference to Labour MP Stephen Timms, who was stabbed while holding a surgery in east London last year.
It warned the attack on Mr Timms should serve as a "piercing reminder" to politicians that "their presence is no longer welcome in any Muslim area".
The Finchley and Golders Green MP, a member of the Conservative Friends of Israel, said there was a vocal demonstration outside the mosque as he began his surgery, but then a second group of people arrived and forced their way inside.
On its website, the U.K. Islamist group Muslims Against Crusades posted a notice titled "Is the Assassination of Obama Legal?" The notice, which is dated October 3, 2011, features a photo montage of Osama bin Laden, Anwar Al-Awlaki, a masked gunman, and President Obama with what appears to be a bullet wound on his forehead, and includes U.K. phone numbers for "media enquiries" and "general enquiries."
Nicholas Saidel and Alexander Joffe have a lengthy and important analysis of the state of British relations with Israel and why the current negative state of affairs could become permanent.
Some within the British government suggest that altering the perception among British Muslims that England subscribes to an "arrogant," "interventionist" and "pro-Zionist" foreign policy will diminish the incidence of domestic Muslim terrorism, and placate Muslim constituents. This obsequious strategy neglects the basic premise of Islamism: that even benevolent infidel regimes are enemies unguided by Allah's divine will and must be fought through jihad. British policy that sees the Arab-Israeli conflict as a prime mover of terrorism also ignores the stated goals of Muslim extremists regarding global Islamic domination.
If relations between Israel and the UK have always been characterized by ups and downs, what are we to make of the current rift? Has England's attitude towards Israel has changed permanently, or is this is just another period of temporarily strained relations that will self-correct? Evidence suggests the British domestic situation has changed in important ways that are spilling over into foreign affairs.
Read it all. Things aren't likely to get better anytime soon.
Oh my! One third of British Muslims would kill for Islam
Yet another Wikileaks cable discloses the results of a survey that says that one third of British Muslims would kill for Islam.
A survey of 600 Muslim students at 30 universities throughout Britain found that 32 per cent of Muslim respondents believed killing in the name of religion is justified.
A U.S. diplomatic cable from January 2009 quoted a poll by the Centre for Social Cohesion as saying 54 per cent wanted a Muslim party to represent their world view in Parliament and 40 per cent want Muslims in the UK to be under Sharia law.
And why would this information be in a cable from the US embassy in London?
A further U.S. cable, dated February 5 2009, said reaching out to Britain's Muslim community there was a 'top priority' for U.S. embassy staff.
It stated: 'Although people of Muslim faith make up only 3 to 4 per cent of the UK's population, outreach to this key audience is vital to U.S. foreign policy interests in the UK and beyond... This is a top mission priority.'
The February cable outlined a plan encompassing 'engagement and community capacity-building' to counter the possible growth of 'violent extremism' in the UK.
The outreach plan for British Muslims was published a month after a cable that revealed that while the community had grown to more than 2 million, unemployment rates were higher among Muslim men and women than in any other religion.
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004.
