Why did the Muslim worshippers chant slogans against the US, Britain and France? Because they believe that these countries are the enemies of Islam and were involved in the "conspiracy" to remove the Muslim Brotherhood from power in Egypt.
But of course such demonstrations cannot occur without also shouting threats and slogans against Jews.
Why Jews? Because the declared goal of these extremists is to destroy Israel and establish an Islamic Caliphate.
It is frightening to see thousands of Muslims chanting, "Khaybar, Khaybar Jews -- the army of Mohamed will return!"
They were referring of course to the Battle of Khaybar, fought in the year 629, between Muslims and Jews living in the oasis of Khaybar in the Arabian Peninsula.
The Jews there were attacked after being accused by the Muslims of inciting hostilities among Arab tribes. The Jews finally surrendered and were permitted to live in Khaybar on condition that they gave one-half of their produce to Muslims.
The demonstrators at the Aqsa Mosque are hoping that the Muslims will again attack the Jews, this time in Israel, and force them to succumb, and either to leave or agree to live as a humiliated minority under the rule of an Islamic Caliph.But Abu Toameh was not the only one who saw Friday's demonstrations. The anti-Jewish demonstration in Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque is a sign of the growing power of Muslim extremists in the city and the West Bank.
This is a real and imminent threat not only to Israel and its Western allies, but also to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his loyalists in the West Bank.
This threat also explains why the Palestinian Authority rushed to condemn the extremists for using the Aqsa Mosque as a platform for "advancing outside agendas" -- namely that of the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamic groups.
The thousands of demonstrators did not forget to condemn the Palestinian Authority for "selling out to Jews" and accepting a two-state solution instead of seeking Israel's destruction.Abu Mazen hears the demonstrators. John Kerry does not. Until Kerry opens his eyes and ears to see and hear what Abu Mazen is hearing, he will not understand why this is not the time or the circumstances in which 'lasting peace' can come to the Middle East. But opening his eyes and ears would mean that Kerry would have to acknowledge that he has no chance for success in his quest for peace. And Kerry will never acknowledge that.

The Shomrim patrol group accepted a request for protection by the North London Community Centre in Cazenove Road, an Islamic institution situated in the heavily-Jewish Borough of Hackney in northern London.
The deal was brokered at a recent meeting coordinated by Ian Sharer, a member of the local council, the Hackney Gazette reported this week.
It came following a rise in anti-Muslim attacks after the slaying of a British soldier on May 22 in London. The suspect, a 22-year-old Muslim extremist, was filmed holding a large knife over the soldier’s decapitated body. A second suspect was charged with attempted murder and is believed to have acted as an accomplice.
Tell Mama, a watchdog on hate crime, recorded 212 incidents in the nine days that followed the murder, including 120 online. In 2012, the same group documented 12 anti-Muslim incidents per week on average and 624 in total.
I am tempted to end this post with "what could go wrong?" but then I would not be clear where I stand on this. I'm ashamed. Ashamed that Jews feel the need to protect our enemies. From what? Islamophobia?Sharer, who is Jewish, told the Gazette that he was asked by “Muslim friends to chair the meeting. The meeting was a great success. The June 18th edition of Sadi al-Balad reports that lawyer Ramses Naggar, the Coptic Church’s legal counsel, said that during Patterson’s June 17 meeting with Pope Tawadros, she “asked him to urge the Copts not to participate” in the demonstrations against Morsi and the Brotherhood.
The Pope politely informed her that his spiritual authority over the Copts does not extend to political matters.
Regardless, many Egyptian activists are condemning Patterson for flagrantly behaving like the Muslim Brotherhood’s stooge. Leading opposition activist Shady el-Ghazali Harb said Patterson showed “blatant bias” in favor of Morsi and the Brotherhood, adding that her remarks had earned the U.S. administration “the enmity of the Egyptian people.” Coptic activists like George Ishaq openly told Patterson to “shut up and mind your own business.” And Christian business tycoon Naguib Sawiris—no stranger to Islamist hostility—posted a message on his Twitter account addressed to the ambassador saying “Bless us with your silence.”But Patterson is apparently just carrying out the Obama administration's policy of currying favor with the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist organizations.
In other words, and consistent with Obama administration’s doctrine, when Islamists—including rapists and cannibals—wage jihad on secular leaders, the U.S. supports them; when Christians protest Islamist rulers who are making their lives a living hell, the administration asks them to “know their place” and behave like dhimmis, Islam’s appellation for non-Muslim “infidels” who must live as third class “citizens” and never complain about their inferior status.Shame on America for electing and re-electing this Muslim-loving creep as President. Two courageous and magnificent Rabbis have asked me to speak on Sunday. Rabbi Yoseph Geisinsky of the Chabad, Great Neck and Rabbi Dr. Bernhard Rosenberg of Congregation Beth-El in Edison, New Jersey have both invited me to speak at their synagogues on Sunday -- the same day I was scheduled to speak at the Great Neck Synagogue on Long Island until that synagogue caved to a leftist/Islamic supremacist smear and intimidation campaign.
Rabbi Geisinsky and Rabbi Rosenberg both extended the invitations to me personally this morning, and I commend them both for it. The cancellation by the Great Neck Synagogue was particularly craven and cowardly, as it sends the message that if leftists and Muslims defame those they hate loudly enough and for a long enough time, they will succeed in getting them silenced. But in contrast to that unconscionable self-imposed dhimmitude, both of these Rabbis are standing up for the freedom of speech and the defense of the Jewish people. They're saying no to thuggery and pressure tactics. Above all, they're standing up for the truth.Indeed.

Harvard Business School is “deeply troubled” for having offended Arab sensibilities due to the mischaracterization of various foods appearing on the menu of the dining room’s Israeli Mezze Station, Brian Kenny, chief marketing and communications officer of the school, was quoted by Al-Arabiya as saying Friday.
The controversy over the Israeli food station arose after Lebanese Harvard graduate Sara el-Yafi on October 28 posted to her Facebook page a letter of protest to the university describing the Israeli buffet’s menu as an affront to Arabs, as such foods as humous and couscous are not of Israeli origin.
“That ‘Israeli Mezze Station” is the ultimate multicultural, multireligious ‘f*** you’ in the face of ALL Arabs at once from North Africa to the Levant,” el- Yafi wrote.
“Israel already has a hard time keeping face in the Arab world for the way it has ‘appropriated’ its lands since 1948, don’t make it worse for them by having them appropriate other peoples’ foods as well,” she added.
El-Yafi also pointed out that haloumi cheese is in fact “Cypriot,” and therefore “until Cyprus becomes another conquered Israeli territory, haloumi is considered NOT Israeli.”
She concluded that at the very least the buffet should be renamed “Mediterranean Mezze Station.”
In response to el-Yafi’s Facebook protest, which as of Friday had garnered more than 4,500 “likes,” Kenny reportedly said that “we are deeply troubled that we offended anybody by doing this buffet item, particularly considering that our reason for doing the international buffet each day is to celebrate cultural diversity.”Good grief.... Forget for a minute that yes, many foods enjoyed in Israel came from Israeli Jews whose grandparents immigrated here 60 years ago from the Arab countries that expelled them (I know, that can't be admitted because then the holy Arab Muslims would have to admit that they brought about Jewish refugees). A Toronto man, 47-year old Allan Einstoss, who was arrested for walking his dog, Cupcake, at an 'al-Quds day' demonstration in Toronto has threatened to sue (Hat Tip: Jack W). Einstoss said after two young Muslim women asked about Cupcake, he was told by a male Al-Quds demonstrator he was “not allowed to go near our women” with the dog. Einstoss said that after exclaiming his right to go where he pleased, he walked away with Cupcake, but was “punched in the chest” by another demonstrator.I think he should seek some money as well. If the city doesn't have to pay anything for this kind of behavior, they will continue to arrest people without cause and will continue to allow Muslims to terrorize the general population. Just like in Europe.
Einstoss shoved back, and within seconds was grabbed by several officers.
He claimed that while in custody, one officer called him “insensitive” for attending an Islamic rally with a dog.
Einstoss added his assailant wasn’t even questioned by police.
The officer allegedly threatened Einstoss with charges of incitement to riot and assault. After around 30 minutes, Einstoss was let go after agreeing to leave Queen’s Park.
Toronto Police Const. Victor Kwong insisted that while officers at the rally first noticed Einstoss because of his “large” dog, his arrest was because of the subsequent scuffle.
“Officers took notice of (Einstoss) because they did see an extremely large dog with an Israeli flag around its neck,” Kwong said.
He added that Einstoss was the only person arrested at the rally and refused to discuss specifics about the incident.
If he pursues legal action, Einstoss said he’ll seek a public inquiry into his arrest instead of money.

Samsung has condemned an Israeli television ad for its Tablets after an Iranian legislator threatened to introduce legislation to ban Samsung's products from Iran. The video may be seen at the second and third links above; this is from the first link. Samsung Electronics on Saturday condemned an Israeli commercial featuring a Samsung tablet, expressing dismay at Iran's threat to ban its products over the apparently anti-Tehran teaser.The dhimmis shouldn't be trading with Iran in the first place.
The South Korean electronics giant said it had not been involved in production of the TV spot, produced by Israeli cable TV channel HOT.
HOT offered Galaxy tabs as gifts to attract new viewers and the advert was part of the station's subscription campaign, Samsung said.
"We have absolutely nothing to do with this television spot," a Samsung Electronics spokesman told AFP.
The commercial was produced by HOT "without Samsung's knowledge or participation," the company said in a statement.
"It should be noted that HOT cable network utilised a GALAXY Tab in its advertisement solely as a promotional gift," Samsung said.
"As a member of the global community, Samsung is committed to demonstrating respect for all people and cultures around the globe," it added.

Pam thoroughly researched the post, and rather than expose how little I know about Perry's ties with Muslims in Texas, I suggest that you read the whole thing.(WILTSE’S ENTIRE SEGMENT ON ISRAEL): The conflict continues because the West, and the United States specifically, support Israel (an outpost of Western Civilization surrounded by Islamic Civilization), which Muslims generally dislike or hate.1933? You've got to be kidding. Pam's right that the Jew-hatred is written into the Koran. In fact, ten days ago, we observed the 82nd anniversary (that would be 1929) of the Hebron massacre. Does this sound like someone who only started hating Jews in 1933? And by the way, the conflict doesn't continue because the West (and specifically the United States) supports Israel. The conflict continues because the Arabs continue in their desire to destroy the Jewish state and to murder all Jews (whether in Israel or elsewhere). Come on Ace - you're smarter than that.
Islamic enmity toward Israel is complicated, but hatred of Jews and Israel can be traced at least to the success of Nazi anti-Jewish propaganda starting in 1933.

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren hosted an iftar dinner at his official residence in Washington on Thursday night. Around 60 guests took part in the event, including dozens of representatives of the US Muslim community, government officials, congress members and diplomats.But was it Kosher? Yes - one does not preclude the other. When I fly any airline except El Al out of London, I get meals from Hermolis which have seals of approval as both Kosher and Halal.
The residence's dining room was temporarily converted into a prayer room – rugs were placed on the floor facing towards Mecca.
Presiding over the kitchens was a chef from one of the many Arab embassies in Washington who made sure the celebratory meal was made in accordance with 'Halal' – Islamic laws.

We are left, mouths agape, wondering whether an editorial like the one above would have been written a couple of months ago when David Horowitz was the JPost's editor-in-chief. I suspect not. The editorial squarely condemned the attack, saying that “as Israelis, a people that is sadly all too familiar with the horrors of indiscriminate, murderous terrorism, our hearts go out with empathy to the Norwegian people.”I did not read that JPost editorial as justifying the Norwegian terror attacks. But one would not be human if one did not wonder what might have caused a 'normal Norwegian boy' to become a mass murderer of his own people. While it might more appropriately have been done by Norwegians themselves and not in a JPost editorial, introspection after such a tragedy is a good thing and not an attempt to justify the act.
However, it also, inappropriately, raised issues that were not directly pertinent, such as the dangers of multiculturalism, European immigration policies and even the Oslo peace process.
“Your editorial, while insistently condemning the violence in Norway, shockingly and shamelessly attempts to offer justification for his extremist violent act of terror,” wrote Esam Omeish in one of many letters to the editor, several of which were published in the paper.
Steve Linde, the editor-in-chief, immediately posted the following statement on our website, JPost.com: “As a newspaper, The Jerusalem Post strongly denounces all acts of violence against innocent civilians. This editorial is not aimed at deflecting attention from the horrific massacre perpetuated in Norway, nor the need to take greater precautions against extremists from all sides.”
As Senior Contributing Editor Caroline B. Glick suggested in her column last Friday, the fact that Breivik’s warped mind cited a group of conservative thinkers including herself as having influenced his thinking in no way reflects on them.Then why, pray tell, did the Post allow Glick to be attacked by a member of the Norwegian government on its own editorial pages on Friday?
“As a rule, liberal democracies reject the resort to violence as a means of winning an argument. This is why, for liberal democracies, terrorism in all forms is absolutely unacceptable,” she wrote. “Whether or not one agrees with the ideological self-justifications of a terrorist, as a member of a liberal democratic society, one is expected to abhor his act of terrorism. Because by resorting to violence to achieve his aims, the terrorist is acting in a manner that fundamentally undermines the liberal democratic order.”
In today’s paper, we are publishing an opinion piece by Norway’s deputy foreign minister, Espen Barth Eide, in which he thanks Israeli leaders “for their kind and comforting words” but expresses dismay over comments made by two Jerusalem Post columnists.Grovel, grovel, grovel....
At the same time, he titles his column, “A time to heal.”
We echo his wish, and hope that the Norwegian government and people will accept the Post’s apology and forgive us for any offense or hurt caused by our editorial and columnists at this sensitive time.

You would think that it would not be a big deal - if we were going to have a 'two-state solution' - for each side to recognize the other's right to exist as what they are (or would de facto be). So why is Abu Mazen so insistent that he will not recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state? It's Islam, stupid. Though not found in the Qur’an, the obligation for the defense of Muslim lands is a core concept in medieval and modern Muslim theology, dating back to the 13th century Muslim exegete Ibn Taymiyyah, who declared that all Muslims are obligated to rise up and attack any non-Muslim who takes Muslim land. It is a compulsory duty (fard Ayn) to wage interminable jihad until the Muslim land is reclaimed and again under its divinely ordained and rightful Muslim sovereignty.Read it all.
There are Muslim scholars who disagree. They quote the Qur’anic references in Chapters V and XVII and elsewhere which state specifically that Allah gave the Promised Land to the Children of Israel as an eternal inheritance. However, Ibn Taymiyyah’s interpretation, that Palestine is Muslim land and must be reclaimed from the Jews, despite the Qur’anic references to God’s promise to the Israelites, seems to prevail in modern Muslim thought.
The concept dhimmi is based upon a Qur’anic source, Sura 9:29, in which Muslims are commanded to make the defeated non-Muslims feel low and subdued. The “Pact of Omar” written during the time of the Caliph Omar II (early 8th century), but ascribed to the 7th century Caliph Omar 1, established a list of regulations detailing the status of non-Muslims under Muslim rule, and circumscribing their behavior. While there is scholarly debate about the extent to which these laws were enforced, it is clear that the position of the dhimmi was subordinate to that of Muslim, and as such the dhimmi could never be a full citizen of any Muslim state, and could never be in a position of authority or sovereignty over Muslims.
Given the high antiquity and religious authority of these concepts, no Muslim leader can acknowledge or recognized Israel as a Jewish state. To do so would be to ignore Allah’s command that Jews (along with other non-Muslims) are condemned to dhimmitude and are not free citizens with their own sovereignty. Similarly, an acknowledgement of Jewish sovereignty and statehood would be an admission that “Palestine” is not Muslim land but is in fact Jewish “Israel.” And, most critical of all, such acknowledgements would mean that there is no basis for declaring a jihad against Israel or against Jews. Instead, by refusing such recognition and maintaining that Israel is an illegal occupier from an Islamic ideological viewpoint, holding Jewish sovereignty over Muslim land contrary to God’s will, Arab leadership can declare the need to maintain a holy jihad until the land is again under divinely ordained Muslim sovereignty.

Israel is going dhimmi. A monument to pilgrims to Mecca is being built in Eilat.The monument is planned for Eilat’s Shahamon Square.At least we haven't had a major terror attack there... yet... God forbid.
Moshe Yosef, a resident of Eilat and a former city employee, claimed that the venture is jointly funded by the Municipality of Eilat and the Housing Ministry.
“This grandiose plan would include construction of lit metal statues of people wearing djellabas,” Yosef told Arutz Sheva’s Hebrew-language news service on Thursday. “The monument will include an observation terrace with a bench, decorative lighting and a circular pergola. The statues will be visible from the terrace. There will also be images and signs to explain to residents and tourists about the Muslim history of the place.”
He added that the plan has left the city’s residents stunned.
“I’ve lived here for 41 years and this is a central square in the city,” Yosef said. “All the military vehicles which come to Eilat from the local military bases travel through this square. Sports events are held here every evening, and residents walk, run, and ride their bicycle in the area. All of it is going to soon be in the shadow of this project.”
The project would in essence be recreating the Darb el Hajj or “Pilgrim’s Road”. The road was used by Arab pilgrims to go to Mecca and it ran from Africa through Egypt to Mecca, passing from the west at Eilat.
“It’s surreal to invest millions of dollars on a project to commemorate the immigrants from Mecca,” added Yosef. “The last time they went to Mecca via Eilat, at least according to what is written in the project, was in 1883.”
He added that just as the Arab city of Umm el-Fahm would not think to perpetuate the Jewish pilgrims to the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, it is inconceivable that Eilat would perpetuate the pilgrims to Mecca.
“They should perpetuate the Negev Brigade and the conquest of Eilat,” he said. “People here are really stunned; the city is in turmoil, no one believes what is happening.”
A press release distributed Thursday by the Eilat municipality said that in light of residents’ requests, Mayor Meir Yitzhak Halevi has asked the Housing Ministry’s Southern District Director to name the monument “The Path of Peace” rather than “The Path of Rejoicing” as originally planned.

If the Obama administration's response to Bashar al-Assad's violent crackdown sounds familiar, it's because it should. It's remarkably like the administration's response to Mahmoud Ahamdinejad's crackdown on his citizenry 22 months ago. Charles Krauthammer doesn't like it. This delicacy toward Assad is dismayingly reminiscent of President Obama’s response to the 2009 Iranian uprising during which he was scandalously reluctant to support the demonstrators, while repeatedly reaffirming the legitimacy of the brutal theocracy suppressing them.Indeed.
Why? Because Obama wanted to remain “engaged” with the mullahs — so that he could talk them out of their nuclear weapons. We know how that went.
The same conceit animates his Syria policy — keep good relations with the regime so that Obama can sweet-talk it out of its alliance with Iran and sponsorship of Hezbollah.
Another abject failure. Syria has contemptuously rejected Obama’s blandishments — obsequious visits from Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry and the return of the first U.S. ambassador to Damascus since the killing of Hariri. Assad’s response? An even tighter and more ostentatious alliance with Hezbollah and Iran.
Our ambassador in Damascus should demand to meet the demonstrators and visit the wounded. If refused, he should be recalled to Washington. And rather than “deplore the crackdown,” as did Clinton in her walk-back, we should be denouncing it in forceful language and every available forum, including the U.N. Security Council.
No one is asking for a Libya-style rescue. Just simple truth-telling. If Kerry wants to make a fool of himself by continuing to insist that Assad is an agent of change, well, it’s a free country. But Clinton speaks for the nation.

Jeff Jacoby wonders why the Obama administration is not playing a At a moment like this, the Obama administration should be taking every reasonable step to encourage the Syrian uprising and undermine the regime. In his remarks on Libya the other night, the president cheered "the fact that history is on the move in the Middle East and North Africa," and promised (in words reminiscent of his predecessor) that "wherever people long to be free, they will find a friend in the United States."Obviously, the whole point of sending Robert Ford to Syria was so that Obama could suck up to another Muslim regime.
If Obama is serious, why has there been no White House denunciation of the murder of protesters by Syrian security forces? Why haven't US officials publicly exhorted the Security Council and the Arab League to take as strong a stand against Assad as they did against Qaddafi? Why hasn't the president ordered Ambassador Robert Ford, the new US envoy to Syria, to demonstrate American solidarity with the demonstrators by traveling to Daraa, where dozens of them have been killed, and demanding an international investigation?
Rather than intensify the pressure on a regime that is every bit as odious as Qaddafi's, and that arguably has more American blood on its hands that any other government in the Arab world, the Obama administration is bending over backward to reassure Assad. On the Sunday talk shows, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton actually gave Assad her seal of approval. "Members of Congress of both parties who have gone to Syria in recent months have said they believe he's a reformer," she said. Reformer! Her characterization would be hilarious if it weren't so sickeningly perverse.
Assad is no reformer. He is a totalitarian criminal and an enemy of the United States, and his downfall should be an explicit American aim. Surely we owe the tens of thousands of Syrians bravely confronting their vicious government at least the same encouragement we gave Mubarak's opponents in Egypt. All Americans, from the White House down, should be cheering as Syria's people shake the House That Assad Built. Nothing could be more salutary than to see that awful, bloodstained dungeon come tumbling down at last.
