Four Saudi security officers killed by suicide bomber in Medina
Four Saudi security officers were killed by a
suicide bomber who said he wanted to eat iftar (the meal that breaks the Ramadan fast) with them.
Four Saudi security force members were killed on Monday after a
suicide bombing took place in Madinah near the prophet’s mosque, the
Al-Haram Al-Nabawi, regarded as one of Islam's holiest sites.
Al
Arabiya News Channel’s correspondent said the suicide bombing took
place in a parking lot between the city court and the mosque, visited by
millions every year. The channel showed images of fire raging in a
parking lot with at least one body seen nearby. The suicide bomber also
died in the attack.
The attack near the
prophet's mosque took place during Maghreb prayers, the time when
Muslims break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan.
Al
Arabiya News Channel’s correspondent said the suicide bomber targeted
seven security officers when he pretended that he wanted to break his
fast with them.
Security forces have cordoned off the area.
Two
million visitors have so far arrived at Al-Haram Al-Nabawi during
Ramadan to finish recitation of the Quran. The correspondent said the
visitors were undeterred and were heading to perform the Isha prayers,
which take place soon after the inital fast-breaking prayer.
There were two other suicide bombings in Qaif today and a foiled attack in Jeddah. Sounds like the Saudis need a little help coping with all the terrorists they've supported over the years.... Oh wait.... These are probably Shia terrorists backed by Iran.... Hmmm....

Terror attacks in France, Tunisia and Kuwait kill dozens, no attackers were Amish
Three terror attacks - on a chemical plant in Lyon, France (one dead), on a beachfront hotel in Sousse, Tunisia (at least 27 dead - later reports say
37 dead and 36 wounded) and on a mosque in Kuwait City, Kuwait (at least 24 dead) - have left dozens of people dead on Friday. In each case,
the attackers were Muslims (Hat Tip:
Memeorandum). None of the attacks seemed to have anything to do with the US Supreme Court rulings upholding gay marriage and Obamacare.
In France,
attackers stormed an American-owned industrial chemical plant near
Lyon, decapitated one person and tried unsuccessfully to blow up the
factory.
In Tunisia,
gunmen opened fire at a beach resort, killing at least 27 people,
officials said. At least one of the attackers was killed by security
forces.
And
the Islamic State claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing in one
of the largest Shiite mosques in Kuwait City during Friday prayers. The
bomb filled the hall with smoke and left dead and wounded scattered on
the carpet, according to witnesses and videos posted online.
Local news reports said at least 24 people had been killed and wounded
in the assault, which was extraordinary for Kuwait and appeared to be a
deliberate attempt to incite strife between Shiites and Sunnis.
In a message circulating on social media, the Islamic State called the suicide bomber “one of the knights of the Sunni people.”
There was no immediate indication that the attacks had been coordinated.
But the three strikes came at roughly the same time, and just days
after the Islamic State, the militant group also known as
ISIS or ISIL, called for such operations during the Muslim holy month of
Ramadan.
The Kuwait terror attack is the first carried out by ISIS in a Gulf State and is sure to concern other Gulf States.
The Tunisia attack seems like another attack on the 'infidels' with sources confirming that most of the guests at the Imperial Marhaba Hotel were
from the UK or Central Europe (Hat Tip:
Memeorandum). Many of those killed were lounging in beach chairs.
The attacker in France was apparently
the employee of the person who was murdered.
The French prosecutor has given a press conference, providing details of the incident:
- Four suspected accomplices are being held in the attack on the
factory in France. They have been arrested and are in interrogation.
- The suspect, his wife and sister are part of those arrested
- The victim was the suspect’s employer
- Part of the factory hangar was blown apart
- 43 people were in the factory at the time of the attack. 13 employees are still in a state of shock
- There were no more injuries so far
- The body of the victim was found near the suspect’s vehicle, where a knife was also found
- The severed head of the victim, was found hooked onto a railing with two flags with arabic inscription
More details provided on the victim:
- The victim was a 54-year-old man
- He was the head of a transport company, from the Lyon area and had been a salaried employee of the company since March 2015
More details on the suspect:
- Yassin Salhi was named as the main suspect
- He was born on 25 March 1980
- He had been working at that same company as the victim
- He’s the father of three children and has been married for about 10 years
- He had not been found guilty of any previous crimes
- He has been under surveillance for “radical islamic activities” since 2006.
- Between 2011 and 2014, French security services had been investigating him for connections to salafist groups in the Lyon area
The inquiry has been given to the central direction of the judicial
police and to the anti-terrorist unit, and the internal security
services, the French prosecutor said.
But let's keep fooling ourselves that Islam is a 'religion of peace.' Let's keep kissing up to the Islamists, treating their cult as a quaint religion with exotic things like iftar dinners (oops - let's not mention that the President of the United States hosted anti-Israel '
activists' at his). And eventually, they'll stop trying to murder us, right?

Tzipi Livni converts to Islam?
Is Tzipi Livni converting to Islam? That's sure what it sounds like. She is
sharing the Iftar dinner (the meal at the end of each day's fast in Ramadamadan) with US Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday.
Secretary of State John Kerry will host "an Iftar dinner for Israeli
Justice Minister Tzipi Livni," according to a copy of his schedule
released by the State Department. The dinner will also be attended by
"Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat."
The event will be closed to the press.

But was it Kosher?
Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren
hosted an iftar dinner at his official residence in Washington on Thursday night.
Around 60 guests took part in the event, including dozens of representatives of the US Muslim community, government officials, congress members and diplomats.
The residence's dining room was temporarily converted into a prayer room – rugs were placed on the floor facing towards Mecca.
Presiding over the kitchens was a chef from one of the many Arab embassies in Washington who made sure the celebratory meal was made in accordance with 'Halal' – Islamic laws.
But was it Kosher? Yes - one does not preclude the other. When I fly any airline except El Al out of London, I get meals from Hermolis which have seals of approval as both Kosher and Halal.
And by the way, when is the Egyptian embassy hosting a seder?

Obama's iftar: Islamists secretly invited, moderates out
The Obama White House published an incomplete list of the invitees to the President's iftar dinner last Wednesday night, omitting
representatives of Islamist groups who were invited. The White House also did not invite any representatives of moderate Muslim groups (Hat Tip:
Atlas Shrugs).
“It was a squeaky clean list,” said Durriya Badani, director of the U.S.-Islamic World Forum, an annual event organized by the Brookings Institution’s Saban Center and the Qatari government. The guests on the published list are “not controversial at all,” said Badani, whose name is on the list the White House provided to reporters.
“It was a lot more low-key … It was a more intimate event this year,” said Haris Tarin, the Washington director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, whose invitation was kept off the published list. “I have no idea why they didn’t publish [MPAC’s invite] … I’m going to learn about that a little bit more,” he told The Daily Caller.
Mohamed Magid also attended but did not appear on the White House’s publish list. Magid is imam of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society mosque in Northern Virginia and the current president of the Islamic Society of North America. Along with MPAC, Magid’s two organizations have drawn criticism from a loose network of online critics who claim they are sympathetic to Islamist groups.
Whether intentional or not, the shorter list limited the risk of a political embarrassment for the White House because it downplayed the attendance of several ideological Islamist groups, including MPAC, said Zuhdi Jasser, president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, a pro-Western Muslim group. But the White House also failed to invite any of the 25 pro-liberty American Muslim groups and individuals in Jasser’s American Islamic Leadership Coalition, he said.
Iftar is the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the month of Ramadan.

The public guest list did include ambassadors from Muslim-majority democratic countries, such as Iraq and Bangladesh, as well as the ambassador of Israel, roughly 20 percent of whose population is Muslim. Also included were numerous ambassadors from Islamic countries that do not accept democracy or welcome non-Islamic religions. These included Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and both Yemen and Bahrain, whose governments have violently suppressed public demonstrations this year.
Obama, Jasser complained, “has not been clear on what America stands for, on the freedom agenda in the Middle East, [so] he ends up at an Iftar dinner that panders to ambassadors” who oppose American’s vision of freedom, Jasser said.
