Syrian troops fire on Israelis in the Golan
Gunfire from Syria was directed at IDF soldiers who were patrolling the border on Sunday morning.
The IDF returned fire using a surface-to-surface Tamuz guided missile on a Syrian army position from which the soldiers were attacked. The Syrian position was reportedly destroyed in the return fire.
There were no injuries or damage reported on the Israeli side, the army said.Assad must think he can distract the rebels - who have vowed to reclaim the Golan from Israel - by firing on Israeli troops. It's not going to work.

The incident came after an IDF jeep on patrol near the Syrian border was hit by gunfire on Saturday evening.

I could not believe it when I saw it, even if I have been used to the uttermost disgust for a few decades already.
These guys would write "Jews provoke nazis" were they alive in Berlin 1933/1945

You notice the headline that goes around the world makes it look like an Israeli action rather than a jihadi action. And it takes an effort to get the actual events.
So, in summary, you've got Israel smiling and hugging Obama, who has armed up the jihadis circling Israel. Americans that I know are just shaking their heads in TOTAL confusion at the Israelis and at the 70% of US Jews who voted for Obama. And they think it's a case of suicidal ideation on the part of Jews around the world. I think they don't connect the blind adherence of Leftists to Leftism - and not necessarily Jews, but billions of people on every continent. Because the Leftist ideas sound good, even though their practice has resulted in millions of dead people from starvation, gulagging, etc. Brain imaging studies need to be done to find out what the synapse process is that makes people BLIND like this.
BTW Here's another good one for HaDaR re the fact that what is going on in the US is not the normal back and forth of politics. Israel has your "start-up" high tech excellence going on, with the "Western Civ" idea that the US economy will absorb (buy! or license!) your innovations. But the current New Left Obama process is demolishing the US economy. And cuddling up to him will put Israel on his side. I guess if the FSU influence and prospects in China make communism (the step after New Left Marcuse Marxist takeover) a bright shiny thing for Leftists, then the US crumbling won't keep Israel from giving Obama photo ops to take over a 3rd term? Or Muslim Brotherhood Hillary2016?
People are mumbling and I, for one, have been waiting for stuff like this, below. I've been wondering whether the military will aid the Obama Posse in the suppression or will (at least) say something. This guy will be run through the media shredder for opening his mouth, but he's retired, so he can take care of himself:
