Israel preparing for refugees from Syria

As the fall of Bashar al-Assad appears imminent, the IDF is preparing to accommodate refugees from among his supporters. Yes, you read that correctly. And you're probably asking why. Assad is from the Alawite sect, a sect that broke off from Shia Islam and is regarded as heretical. If Assad falls, those people won't be safe in Syria. Ironically, however, they are quite safe in Israel. And we are the only true humanitarians in this region. This is from the first link.
"The day the Assad regime falls, this is expected to hurt the Alawite sect," Army Chief Gantz said. "We are preparing to take in Alawite refugees on the Golan Heights."

Addressing other possible implications of the Syrian upheaval, the chief of staff added that Israel fears that weapons could make their way from Syria to Lebanon.

"We must monitor the process," Gantz said.
I doubt we'll see Assad himself here, but we might see some members of his distant family here. I doubt they're much of a danger. The Alawites, many of whom live in Ghajar, which is where our borders meet both Syria and Lebanon, would rather stay in Israel than be turned over to an Islamist Syria or a Hezbullah-dominated Lebanon. Of course, ultimately, that means more Arabs who aren't very loyal to us living in our midst.

What could go wrong?

Why Israel is obligated to take refugees from hostile countries and like you said they will never accept Israel existence….they use Israel as their tool to accommodate their needs for now…Jewish nation needs to raise up but we have to many self hating jews that make our homeland unstable subsequently we are being attacked by our enemies

Stupidest idea of the year so far. Don't let a single one in. Everyone knows that half of them actually will be terrorists and Syrian intelligence.

IMO, Israel would be crazy to take in Syrian refugees to the Golan. From them, you'd get one day of gratitude, then a perpetual anti-Israel fifth column.
