'Palestinians' reject plan to 'resettle' them in the US

You will recall that recently former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert claimed that George Bush had agreed to take in 100,000 'Palestinians' as part of a 'peace agreement.' The 'Palestinians' in the Tulkarm 'refugee camp' have rejected the idea of going to live in the United States.
Faysal Salama, head of the popular committee of the Tulkarm refugee camp, which belongs to the PLO, vehemently rejected the notion of resettling Palestinian refugees.

He clarified that the Palestinian refugees are rejecting a plan to absorb 100,000 of them in the U.S. as part of a solution to the refugee problem.
Of course, one cannot help but wonder what those 'Palestinians' who are not heads of 'popular committees' would say to an offer to live in the US. I would guess that most of them would jump at it.

If all the Palestinians had free individual choice most of them would not return home. And if Israel's leaders were not so short-shortsightedly begging them to remain, the whole issue of a Palestinian state would become a lot less urgent.

What could go wrong indeed

As an American I can tell you, I do NOT want them coming to live here. Not only that, but we should deport all of them that are already here.
