The never-ending bias of the New York Times

Newspapers - and the media generally - are supposed to tell stories. They're not supposed to be the story. At the New York Times - 'America's paper of record' - they seem to have forgotten that basic axiom.

On Saturday, the Times published an appalling biased op-ed by one George Bisharat. Yes, I know, op-ed's are opinion pieces and people are entitled to their opinions, but given the limited op-ed space available in America's premier newspaper one would hope that they would at least limit publication to those op-ed's that at least get the facts straight. Sadly, with the Times, that is not the case. The newspaper founded by the apostate Ochs-Sulzberger family is apparently willing to publish anything - anything - that is biased against Israel (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).

I was going to take it apart for you, but Noah Pollak has already done that piece by piece.

Read the whole thing.

UPDATE 9:00 AM

There's background information about George Bisharat, the op-ed's writer here and especially here (a must read). It seems that the man has a habit of - shall we say - stretching the truth.

The UN has just named Richard Goldstone to look at the issue. One quick guess to what party will not be investigated for "war crimes?"

Hamas. The Arabs can do no wrong in the world's eyes.
