Good news: Galloway's mouth shut for a while

British MP George Galloway - who recently tried to make his Bradford district an 'Israel free zone' (he failed) - had his jaw broken by an assailant on a London street on Friday.
Respect MP George Galloway was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw on Friday night after being attacked in the street.
Police arrested a British man over the incident, which is believed to have been prompted by comments Galloway has made about Israel in past weeks.
The 60-year-old was posing for pictures in Notting Hill, London, on Friday evening when a man lashed out at him, his spokesman said. Galloway gave a statement to police after a man aged 39 was arrested.
"George was posing for pictures with people and this guy just attacked him, leapt on him and started punching him," his spokesman said.
"It appears to be connected with his comments about Israel because the guy was shouting about the Holocaust. George is badly bruised but OK. He has bruising to his head and face and is in pretty bad shape."
Police said Galloway was badly injured and was being treated in a London hospital, but was in a stable condition. The arrested man remains in custody.
Last week, the MP was interviewed by police under caution after he was accused of inciting racial hatred by declaring his constituency, Bradford West, an "Israel-free zone".
In a speech he gave in Leeds on 2 August he said: "We don't want any Israeli goods; we don't want any Israeli services; we don't want any Israeli academics coming to the university or the college; we don't even want any Israeli tourists to come to Bradford, even if any of them had thought of doing so."
Galloway called the police investigation into him a "monumental – and monumentally expensive – waste of police time".
Galloway was released from the hospital on Saturday morning. 39-year old Neil Masterson was charged with assaulting Galloway.  Doesn't sound Jewish to me.

George Galloway in all his bitter, racist, anti-Semitic glory

This is where Facebook really needs a 'don't like' button.

This was posted about five hours ago (by the time you read this) to George Galloway's Facebook page. As of this writing, it has 1,891 'likes,' but who knows how many people dislike it?

It's bitter, racist, moronic, anti-Semitic and disgusting. You'll need a shower after you read it.

I am posting it only so that you won't click on his page to see it.
Me and the Palestinian cause:

A number of questions have recently arisen I need to deal with. Firstly if people want to talk to the Palestinians they need to contact the Palestine Liberation Organisation. This is the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people and has been for many decades. Secondly, an organisation calling itself "BDS" does not own the words or the concept of boycott, divestment or sanctions. They are entitled to their own interpretation of these words but they don't own or control me. I will make my own interpretation. And it is this - no purchase of Israeli goods or services, no normal contacts with individuals or organisations in Israel who support the existence of the racist Apartheid creed of Zionism. That's what I mean by boycott. That's what I do. Israelis who are outside of and against the system of Zionism are comrades of mine - like Prof Ilan Pappe. My opponent at Oxford University did not meet this test. The organiser of the event momentarily lionised by the liberal as well as the conservative establishment needs to know this, especially as he is a medical student. To compare Israeli Zionism to "Vegetarianism" is like a doctor not knowing the difference between a pimple and a tumor. Apartheid Israel is a cancer at the heart of the middle-east. Only it's replacement by a bi-national democratic state from the Jordan River to the sea will cure this. That is what I am fighting for.

This is what we are up against in the 'civilized' western world.

Furious George Galloway doesn't debate Israelis

From my friend Aussie Dave, who to the best of my knowledge, was not recruited by the Mossad while growing up in Australia.

I think it's because Dave isn't tall enough and has too much hair....

Oh yeah.... The video of Furious George is here

York University moves to suppress hate speech

I'm sure you'll all be pleased to hear that York University in Ontario - which is notoriously anti-Israel - has finally moved to suppress hate speech. But only when the hate speech is uttered by Jews. And in this case, the Jews were speaking against notorious British former MP George Galloway, who was recently allowed into Canada for the first time in a long time.
Not everyone was thrilled with the prospect of having Galloway, who, according to wry commentator Christopher Hitchens is “100 percent consistent in support for thugs and criminals,” arriving on the York campus to spew forth his rabid fulminations against Zionism, Israel, and the West. In particular, Toronto-based Rabbi Ahron Hoch took it upon himself to post an announcement on his Aish web site in which he urged readers to proactively protest Galloway’s appearance, and to take specific steps to inform the greater community about the noxious speaker, including emailing York’s president, calling the dean’s office to lodge a formal complaint, and participating in a rally to be held on the York campus.

Feeling that the Galloway visit was one more contribution to the cesspool of anti-Semitic, pro-Palestinian activism that has punctuated the York campus for years now, Rabbi Hoch took York’s president, Mamdouh Shoukri, to task for allowing Galloway to speak “under the pretext of freedom of speech,” even though it “was never meant to be used as a vehicle to spread support for terror, murder and genocide.”

And more relevant to Rabbi Hoch was that York’s president had again failed to take a strong stand to rid his campus of anti-Israelism that frequently has morphed into anti-Semitism. “Mr. Shoukri has again showed his amazing tolerance for anti-Semitism and lack of vigilance regarding the feeling of safety for Jewish students on campus,” Hoch wrote.

Rabbi Hoch did receive a response from the university, but not the one he had probably hoped for. In fact, what he received was a formal letter from Harriet Lewis, York’s general counsel, who ordered the rabbi, in no uncertain terms, to remove the announcement “from [his] web site and to direct [his] supporters to cease and desist” any further distribution of the online poster. Why was the university demanding these steps? Because it believed that Hoch’s comment about President Shoukri was “untrue, harmful to [him] and his reputation, and to that of the university.” More ominously, the university considered the rabbi’s words “actionable,”( read: criminal), and expected “a retraction and apology forthwith.”

The letter also warned Hoch that his request for individuals to come to the York campus to protest Galloway’s appearance “might disturb and provoke others to disturb the peace” and “that this too is actionable and may constitute criminal behavior.” (Emphasis added.)

Read the whole thing and learn about York's disgraceful history of anti-Semitism. I'll save you a couple of clicks. Aish took the ad off their site, and Shoukri is Egyptian.

There's an interview with Rabbi Hoch on a Canadian radio station here.
