Hamas USA marching in Veterans' Day parade in Oklahoma
In 2004, the Committee for American - Islamic Relations (CAIR), a US-based front for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial of the Holy Land Foundation, which was funneling US money to Hamas. Now, the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma (Yipes! I have a cousin there) is honoring CAIR by allowing it to participate in its Veterans' Day parade.
For the first time, Oklahoma Muslims will have a float in the
Veterans Day Parade in downtown Tulsa on Nov. 11, and not all parade
participants are happy about it.
“It’s something we have been wanting to do for years,” said Adam
Soltani, executive director of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations, based in Oklahoma City.
Soltani said the float is sponsored by CAIR-Oklahoma but will
“represent the Oklahoma Muslim community, which is a very diverse
community of people from all walks of life, immigrants, indigenous
people.”
“We support all veterans, and we support our country, so I don’t see
why anyone should have any concerns about CAIR being involved,” he said.
“We are an American Muslim organization, and American Muslims support
their government, support their country and definitely support our
troops who are working to defend our constitutional rights and our
freedoms,” he continued.
Soltani said many U.S. Muslims have served in the armed forces and that two veterans are on the CAIR-Oklahoma board.
Larry Williamson, a member of the Tulsa 912 Project, a conservative
organization, said it is “atrocious” to ask veterans to “march alongside
people who represent our enemies in a current war.”
“I believe all American entrants who the parade is intended to honor
should be made aware as soon as possible that they are being asked to
share their honor with the Muslim Brotherhood, sworn enemy of the United
States and our ally Israel and an enemy in our current war on the
Islamic jihad in which American soldiers are fighting and dying,” he
said in a letter to the Tulsa World.
Williamson said he has been told that his Tulsa 912 Project float is
scheduled to be in line next to the CAIR float in the parade.
“I’m not a spokesman for Tulsa 912, but I won’t march alongside the Muslim Brotherhood,” he said.
Asked why he uses the term Muslim Brotherhood instead of CAIR,
Williamson said the FBI has identified CAIR as an arm of the Muslim
Brotherhood in America. CAIR has consistently stated that it has no
connections with any terrorist groups.
Patsy Varnell, vice president of the Tulsa Veterans Day Parade
Association, confirmed that CAIR-Oklahoma’s application to be in the
parade has been accepted.
@AmericanAir recognizes Hamas leader for 'leadership'
Shavua tov and a good week to everyone.
While I did pick up the American Way magazine on my flight from New York to London two weeks ago, and I do recall seeing this article, I had no idea that one of the four employees to whom American Airlines gave a 'leadership award' in June is also a leader in a different organization: Hamas.
The September edition of American Airlines’ magazine – American Way –
revealed Mohamed El Sharkawy received the 2015 Earl G. Graves Award for
Leadership in Diversity and Inclusion “for (his) work in making a
lasting impression in the workplace.”
The award was given to Sharkawy at the end of June, but was published in American Airlines’ American Way in September.
Mohamed El Sharkawy was previously the Director for Hamas in Arizona,
doing business as the Council on American Islamic Relations or CAIR.
Evidence, some of which is listed below, reveals CAIR was created by
the US Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee (Hamas) in 1994 to be a
node for Hamas in America to provide the Hamas cause with “media, money,
men, and all that” meaning propaganda, fundraising, recruits, and all
else that comes with waging jihad.
Is this the kind of individual who should have access to sensitive areas of Phoenix Airport or American Airlines?
American Airlines Public Affairs Office refused to comment on El
Sharkawy’s employment, but encouraged UTT (Understanding the Threat) to
contact the FBI if threat information exists.
El Sharkawy is also serves as the Chairman of the Arizona Muslim Police Advisory Board.
As many of you know, I do a lot of flying on American and its partner airlines. I've traveled to the US on those airlines five times this year (2015) and eleven times in the last two years. Time to make a change?
US branch of Muslim Brotherhood, Obama confidantes: 'Honor Islamic terrorists, not US troops'
The Council on American-Islamic Relations - the US branch of the Muslim Brotherhood - urges Americans to honor Islamic terrorists this Memorial Day, and not US troops. Yes, you read that correctly....
You read that right. As nearly all Americans come together on
Memorial Day to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the
country’s freedom and safety, two CAIR officials spent the holiday
weekend differently: questioning whether U.S. troops deserve to be
honored and tweeting that the country was “established upon white
supremacy.”
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group labeled by the Justice Department as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood
entity and “un-indicted co-conspirator” in a terrorism-financing trial,
disingenuously claims that it is a moderate organization.
Yet, on May 23, Zahra Billoo, the radical executive-director of CAIR’sSan Francisco Bay Area chapter, tweeted that she “struggles with Memorial Day each year” about whether to honor American soldiers who died in wars:
She also quoted another CAIR official, Dawud Walid, the executive-director of CAIR’s Michigan chapter, as questioning whether they should honor American soldiers that died in “unjust” wars and occupations.
That’s a direct insult to American soldiers currently serving in
Afghanistan and those that have returned from Iraq, as CAIR officials
consistently describe those wars with that terminology. Billoo quoted
Walid as saying:
Billoo did, however, find one “soldier” she felt comfortably honoring.
On May 26, she promoted an article from the anti-Semitic and
anti-American Nation of Islam that asked for help for a “black liberation soldier” named Imam Jamil al-Amin:
Al-Amin was a member of the Black Panthers terrorist group and was convicted of murdering a police officer in 2000. He is also anti-American, stating “if America doesn’t come around, we’re gonna burn it down,” and “I say violence is necessary. It is as American as cherry pie.”
Al-Amin also said the U.S. Constitution is “diametrically opposed to what Allah has commanded.”
THIS is who CAIR wants to honor on Memorial Day? A racist, anti-American cop-killer?
A
Florida Family Association supporter happened to look up at the wall
behind the checkout line at the Sam’s Club located at 2021 Brandon
Boulevard in Brandon, Florida. He saw a large photograph of a check
made out from Sam’s Club in the amount of $2,500 payable to the Islamic
Community of Tampa located in the top left prominent position on the
wall. Florida Family Association snapped a cellphone photograph. Photographs indicated that no other non-profit organization received more than $500.
...
The Islamic Community of Tampa is also known as the Al-Qassam mosque. The Military Wing of the Palestinian Hamas is called the Al-Qassam Brigade. InvestigativeProject.org reports“The
mosque, according to Sami Al-Arian, was named after Izzedin al-Qassam.
Al-Qassam, a Syrian killed fighting the British mandate in 1935, ‘is
the main source of inspiration for the Islamic Jihad movement’
Palestinian scholar Ziad Abu Amr wrote in his book, Islamic
Fundamentalism in the West Bank and Gaza. ‘The Islamic Jihad’s
supporters have elevated him almost to a saintly status.’”
...
Sami Al-Arian was indicted in February 2003 on 17 counts under the Patriot Act for allegedly being the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). In 2006, Al-Arian pleaded guilty
to one count of conspiring to make or receive contributions of funds,
goods or services for the benefit of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)
and was sentenced to 57 months in prison.
Sami Al-Arian refused to testify before a Federal Grand Jury regarding other Jihad activities. U.S. District Judge James Moody
ruled that Al-Arian must testify. A Virginia District Court held that
Sami Al-Arian had no legal basis to refuse to testify. The court held
him in civil contempt, and imprisoned him on November 16, 2006. Sami
Al-Arian was released from prison on June 27, 2014 after the United
States Department of Justice dropped charges.
Last Monday night, I was in Boston and listened to part of the Monday night football game on the radio and heard this punt return by the Atlanta Falcons' Devin Hester which broke an all time record for touchdown returns (it was Hester's 20th - mostly with the Chicago Bears.
Let's go to the videotape.
Hester's team was penalized 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff for that little display of unsportsmanlike conduct at the end. The broadcasters thought that was a bit unfair because it was a record-breaking run, but the penalty stood and there was no real discussion about it in the morning.
Last night, the Kansas City Chiefs' Husain Abdullah intercepted my team's quarterback Tom Brady, and returned the interception for a touchdown.
Let's go to the videotape.
Abdullah's team was penalized 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff for that
little display of unsportsmanlike conduct at the end. I was in Israel and this happened while I was in synagogue this morning, so I did not hear what the broadcasters thought about it, but the penalty
stood. But there was a lot of discussion about it in the morning. Abdullah is a Muslim. And the NFL was forced to apologize (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
His celebration drew a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but
the NFL said Tuesday that Abdullah should not have been penalized.
The
league’s rule book prohibits players from celebrating while on the
ground, but spokesman Michael Signora wrote in an email Tuesday that
“the officiating mechanic in this situation is not to flag a player who
goes to the ground as part of religious expression, and as a result,
there should have been no penalty on the play.”

Huh? Never heard that exception before. Hester's high-step wasn't religious enough? Oh wait, Hester didn't have the backing of CAIR.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a civil liberties and
advocacy organization, issued a statement early Tuesday asking that the
NFL take steps in response to the penalty.
“To prevent the
appearance of a double standard, we urge league officials to clarify the
policy on prayer and recognize that the official made a mistake in this
case,” CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper said.
Actually, I think the penalty prevented the appearance of a double standard. Abdullah did something remarkably similar to what Hester did. Both were penalized. Sounds fair to me. Sounds fair to Abduallh's coach too.
Game officials didn’t say anything to Abdullah after the play, but
Chiefs coach Andy Reid did when Abdullah came to the sideline.
“He said, ‘You can’t slide,’” Abdullah said.

But Abdullah is allowed to slide... and to bow in the end zone. Maybe the next time, he can keep his prayer rug on the back of his pants.
Sorry but that penalty was earned. I have no problem with it.
These outrageous, vulgar, and violent sentiments provide insight into
the real views of groups like CAIR, ICNA, and the others listed on the
event flier.“Peace” protestors sponsored by these groups are normally able to stay relatively polite and on message, however,
the appearance of Israel supporters sent them into a revelatory frenzy
of great importance. Not all of the demonstrations these groups promote
will contain such overtly hostile messaging, but as the video proves,
peaceful-sounding chants are synonymous with calls to war.
Anti-Israel fanatics are predictable in that they utilize a constant
theme of claiming to be victims while simultaneously inciting hatred and
violence. What isn’t predictable is what they will chant in public. When similar protests take place, one should keep in mind the true motivation behind these “peace” mobs.
It doesn't take much to cause them to be uncivil, does it?
What Ayaan Hirsi Ali would have said if Brandeis hadn't given in to the thought police
It's a pity that Brandeis University didn't live up to its seal of truth this week. As I reported earlier, they decided to withdraw an honorary degree from Ayaan Hirsi Ali due to her criticism of Islam. The Wall Street Journal has published the speech that Ms. Hirsi Ali planned to give. It's quite powerful (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
You deserve better memories than 9/11 and
the Boston Marathon bombing. And you are not the only ones. In Syria, at
least 120,000 people have been killed, not simply in battle, but in
wholesale massacres, in a civil war that is increasingly waged across a
sectarian divide.
Violence is escalating in Iraq, in Lebanon, in Libya,
in Egypt. And far more than was the case when you were born, organized
violence in the world today is disproportionately concentrated in the
Muslim world.
Another striking feature
of the countries I have just named, and of the Middle East generally, is
that violence against women is also increasing. In Saudi Arabia, there
has been a noticeable rise in the practice of female genital mutilation.
In Egypt, 99% of women report being sexually harassed and up to 80
sexual assaults occur in a single day.
Especially
troubling is the way the status of women as second-class citizens is
being cemented in legislation. In Iraq, a law is being proposed that
lowers to 9 the legal age at which a girl can be forced into marriage.
That same law would give a husband the right to deny his wife permission
to leave the house.
Sadly, the list
could go on. I hope I speak for many when I say that this is not the
world that my generation meant to bequeath yours. When you were born,
the West was jubilant, having defeated Soviet communism. An
international coalition had forced Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait. The next mission for American armed forces would
be famine relief in my homeland of Somalia. There was no Department of
Homeland Security, and few Americans talked about terrorism.
Two
decades ago, not even the bleakest pessimist would have anticipated all
that has gone wrong in the part of world where I grew up. After so many
victories for feminism in the West, no one would have predicted that
women's basic human rights would actually be reduced in so many
countries as the 20th century gave way to the 21st.
Today, however, I am going to predict a
better future, because I believe that the pendulum has swung almost as
far as it possibly can in the wrong direction.
When
I see millions of women in Afghanistan defying threats from the Taliban
and lining up to vote; when I see women in Saudi Arabia defying an
absurd ban on female driving; and when I see Tunisian women celebrating
the conviction of a group of policemen for a heinous gang rape, I feel
more optimistic than I did a few years ago. The misnamed Arab Spring has
been a revolution full of disappointments. But I believe it has created
an opportunity for traditional forms of authority—including patriarchal
authority—to be challenged, and even for the religious justifications
for the oppression of women to be questioned.
Yet for that opportunity to be fulfilled, we in the West must provide
the right kind of encouragement. Just as the city of Boston was once the
cradle of a new ideal of liberty, we need to return to our roots by
becoming once again a beacon of free thought and civility for the 21st
century. When there is injustice, we need to speak out, not simply with
condemnation, but with concrete actions.
It's a pity that Brandeis betrayed its seal and gave in to the thought police.
Mr. Justice Brandeis must be rolling over in his grave again. The thought police at Brandeis have decided that women's rights and anti-Islam activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali is not worthy of an honorary degree she was scheduled to receive at the school's commencement exercises next month.
April 8, 2014
Following
a discussion today between President Frederick Lawrence and Ayaan Hirsi
Ali, Ms. Hirsi Ali’s name has been withdrawn as an honorary degree
recipient at this year's commencement. She is a compelling public figure
and advocate for women’s rights, and we respect and appreciate her work
to protect and defend the rights of women and girls throughout the
world. That said, we cannot overlook certain of her past statements that
are inconsistent with Brandeis University's core values. For all
concerned, we regret that we were not aware of these statements earlier.
Commencement is about celebrating and honoring our extraordinary
students and their accomplishments, and we are committed to providing an
atmosphere that allows our community's focus to be squarely on our
students. In the spirit of free expression that has defined Brandeis
University throughout its history, Ms. Hirsi Ali is welcome to join us
on campus in the future to engage in a dialogue about these important
issues.
Ali, a member of the Dutch Parliament from
2003 to 2006, has been quoted as making comments critical of Islam. That
includes a 2007 interview with Reason Magazine in which she said of the
religion, “Once it’s defeated, it can mutate into something peaceful.
It’s very difficult to even talk about peace now. They’re not interested
in peace. I think that we are at war with Islam. And there’s no middle
ground in wars.”
Brandeis, outside Boston in Waltham, Mass., said it was not aware of Ali’s statements earlier.
...
Ali was raised in a strict Muslim family, but
after surviving a civil war, genital mutilation, beatings and an
arranged marriage, she renounced the faith in her 30s. She declined to
comment this week to The Associated Press.
More than 85 of about 350 faculty members at
Brandeis signed a letter asking for Ali to be booted off the list of
honorary degree recipients. And an online petition created Monday by
students at the school of 5,800 had gathered thousands of signatures
from inside and outside the university as of Tuesday afternoon.
“This is a real slap in the face to Muslim
students,” said senior Sarah Fahmy, a member of the Muslim Student
Association who created the petition said before the university withdrew
the honor.
“But it’s not just the Muslim community that
is upset but students and faculty of all religious beliefs,” she said.
“A university that prides itself on social justice and equality should
not hold up someone who is an outright Islamophobic.”
Thomas Doherty, chairman of American studies,
refused to sign the faculty letter. He said it would have been great for
the university to honor “such a courageous fighter for human freedom
and women’s rights, who has put her life at risk for those values.”
Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on
American-Islamic Relations, the nation’s largest Muslim advocacy group,
said, “It is unconscionable that such a prestigious university would
honor someone with such openly hateful views.”
The organization sent a letter to university President Frederick Lawrence on Tuesday requesting that it drop plans to honor Ali.
The slogan, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” can
be heard regularly from the shores of the Gaza Strip, emanating from
members of terrorist groups, including Hamas and Palestinian Islamic
Jihad. The river represents the Jordan River, and the sea is the
Mediterranean – both sides of Israel. Essentially, this means the
destruction of Israel.
Khaled Meshaal, the global head of Hamas, stated something similar,
when he made his historic visit to Gaza this month. He said, “Palestine is ours from the river to the sea and from the south to the north.”
Just one week previous to that, the leader of another Islamist group,
Cyrus McGoldrick, repeated the slogan on Facebook and Twitter. Except he
did not state it from the Middle East, he made it from the United
States.
McGoldrick is the Civil Rights Manager and spokesman for the New York
chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR-New York.
The national organization of CAIR was founded in June 1994 as a part of
the umbrella group created by then-global Hamas leader Mousa Abu
Marzook. [Today, Marzook is the number two leader under Meshaal.] As
well, CAIR was named a party to Hamas financing by the U.S. Justice
Department for two federal trials against the Holy Land Foundation for
Relief and Development (HLF). CAIR had asked people to donate money to the terrorist HLF charity via CAIR’s national website.
Muslim Brotherhood and Iran find something they can agree on: Chuck Hagel for Defense
This must be Messiah's times. You know, the lamb lying down with the lion and the leopard with the goat and all that. Think of this one: The Sunni Muslim Brotherhood and the Shi'a regime in Iran have found something - or rather someone - on whom they can agree: Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense.
In 2006, the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah fired countless
rockets from Lebanon into Israel, then attacked an Israeli patrol on
the Israeli side of the Israel-Lebanon border. Three soldiers were
killed and two others taken hostage. Five more Israelis were killed in a
failed rescue attempt.
As Israel Defense Forces attempted to stop the rocket fire, search
for its missing soldiers and remove the Hezbollah threat, then Senator
Hagel demanded an immediate cease-fire. This won praise from CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad (see above), who once said "I am a supporter of the Hamas movement."
CAIR also endorsed Hagel as a possible 2008 Presidential candidate, issuing this statement on August 28, 2006:
Potential Presidential candidates for 2008, like
Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Joe Biden and New Gingrich, were falling
all over themselves to express their support for Israel. The only
exception to that rule was Senator Chuck Hagel ....
The above was reported by the National Jewish Democratic Council
(NJDC) on their website on March 12, 2007. The posting has since been
deleted, but a cached version can be seen here.
CAIR is the Muslim Brotherhood's US branch. And as you can see from the picture above, Hagel is also highly regarded by the Brotherhood's state patron, 'our friends the Saudis.'
Nancy Pelosi, Steve Israel and Chris Murphy appeared at CAIR (Hamas' US branch) fundraiser
Representatives Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca) and Steve Israel (D-NY), and Senate candidate Chris Murphy (D-Ct), appeared at a secret May fundraiser on behalf of CAIR. CAIR, which acts as Hamas' US branch, was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land terrorism trial in 2007-08.
Nancy Pelosi, Democratic congresswoman from San Francisco, Steve
Israel, Democratic congressman from NY, and Chris Murphy who is running
for the Senate against Linda McMann in Connecticut, joined Reps Keith
Ellison and Andre Carson as headliners at a Democratic Party fundraiser
with leaders of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood front groups on May,
2012.
It was held in secret.
Why is it a secret? Aren’t they transparent? Shouldn’t they be
flaunting the names of their new bundlers who will in turn expect
support for their many anti-Israel goals?
Nancy Pelosi, who has been a supporter of Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian
leader who is currently massacring his own people, is now supporting
the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) whose Executive
Director Nihad Awad, has openly championed Hamas and defended suicide
bombings as “legitimate resistance.”
Awad views the Democratic Party as supporters who are bringing about
change in U.S.-Hamas-Brotherhood relations. Not all Democrats are on
board, but too many are.
The Nassau County Federation of Republican Women hosted a forum to discuss
the assault on Religious Freedom in the US at all levels of
government and in particular by the Obama administration and members of
the Democratic Party. The guest speakers/panelists were renowned
commentator Rabbi Aryeh Spero and Jim Krug, president of the Long Island
Chapter of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights. This
video shows Rabbi Spero repsonding to an audience question about why
Congressman Steve Israel and other Jewish politicians support the
anti-semetic group Occupy Wall Street.
Let's go to the videotape.
You will note that Rabbi Spero makes a point that I have often made on this blog about how so many Jews have substituted Liberalism for Judaism as their religion. Indeed.
Here's an interview from the Democratic National Convention with Nihad Awad, the director of CAIR, Hamas' American front organization. Yes, Hamas is at the Democratic National Convention.
Surprise? White House admits to 'hundreds' of meetings with Muslim Brotherhood's US arm
Shavua tov, a good week to everyone.
I can't wait to see how all the Jewish Apologists for Obama (JAPO's™) try to explain this away (thanks to all who sent in). Members of the Obama administration have been meeting regularly with CAIR, which is the US branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The admission of meetings with the Council on American-Islamic Relations came from George Selim, the White House’s new director for community partnerships, which was formed in January to ensure cooperation by law enforcement and social service agencies with Muslim identity groups in the United States.
“There is hundreds of examples of departments and agencies that meet with CAIR on a range of issues,” he told The Daily Caller, after being asked if his office refuses to meet with any Muslim groups.
CAIR is “the group with the worst record of deception and the deepest ties to terrorists,” said Steven Emerson, the director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which tracks the public activities of Islamist lobbying groups.
“The White House is so clueless and/or compromised” when dealing with the brotherhood, said Robert Spencer, the author of several books about Islam and jihad. CAIR, he said, is “the political front of a radically repressive, Jew-hating, woman-hating organization.”
The House of Representatives last month prodded the Department of Justice to end all contacts with CAIR.
“The [appropriations] committee understands that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has an existing policy prohibiting its employees from engaging in any formal non-investigative cooperation with CAIR [and] the committee encourages the attorney general to adopt a similar policy for all department officials,” said the committee report accompanying the 2013 Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations bill, passed in mid-May by the House.
TheDC interviewed Selim during a June 7 State Department conference on diversity that was hosted by the Office of the Special Representative to Muslim Communities.
After he admitted the extensive ties, Selim declined to explain further. He walked away, but returned to insist to TheDC that it cannot record his comments.
The office’s deputy director, Adnan Kifayat, also berated TheDC for taping the interview with Selim. “That was wrong… it is really bad form,” he said.
“You’re putting a career at risk by asking [questions] without telling him… you cannot ambush people and expect them to actually cooperate,” Kifayet said, adding that TheDC could have committed a felony by recording Selim when he was using a cellphone shortly before the interview.
When are American Jews going to admit that this Muslim-loving President is hostile to them and to their interests?
I want to remind you all please not to buy your (or my) Father's Day gifts from Best Buy. They are continuing to support CAIR, the US arm of the Hamas terror organization. Although it seems a bit truncated as a mission statement, clearly the focus is on problem solving.
Thus, it is confusing why Best Buy has doubled down and insists on continuing its support of the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). In April of 2012, Islamist Watch publicized that Best Buy was a "Platinum Sponsor" for a fundraising banquet for the CAIR chapter. This alarming news led nearly 5,000 people to sign a pledge to boycott Best Buy until it rescinded its support for CAIR. As of the 3rd of June 2012, the petition at the site PetitionBuzz.com had 11,547 signatures. Nonetheless, Best Buy maintains that its
...customers and employees around the world represent a variety of faiths and denominations. We respect that diversity, and choose to engage with our customers, employees and communities in ways that reflect their traditions and maintain good relationships for Best Buy.
Video: Marine cuts up Best Buy card and new center-right news feed site
I'd like to tell you about Bad Blue - a new center-right news feed site where yours truly has recently been featured. The site follows 525 sites and counting and it's got some really great links. Here's one of them. An ex-marine snips his Best Buy card and joins the boycott of the electronics chain that supports CAIR.
Charles Jacobs and Ilya Feoktistov of Americans for Peace and Tolerance accuse Anti-Defamation League director Abe Foxman of abandoning the fight against anti-Semitism to fight 'Islamophobia,' and urge Foxman to resign.
The Jewish community's largest "defense" organization, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), has adopted a policy, consistent with the progressive agenda, not to speak up much about the global tsunami of Muslim anti-Semitism, but instead to campaign against "Islamophobia." This while FBI statistics show that hate crimes against Jews in America are five times the number of hate crimes against Muslims. The rationale for this policy, as the ADL's chief, Abe Foxman, told the Boston Jewish Advocate, is that "[y]ou can't fight the fight against anti-Semitism without fighting against bigotry. ... You cannot ask people to stand with you unless you are ready to stand with them."
But in cities across America, Foxman's policy has led the ADL to stand with people and organizations whose mission it is to defame and harm Jews. To defend its policy of "outreach," the Anti-Defamation League vigorously defames as "bigots" citizens who question radical Islamists' true aims.
According to the authors, Foxman is -- with precious sums of Jewish money meant to protect Jews from their foes -- doing the work of Jews' enemies. Read the whole thing.
I might add that the lines promoted by the Islamist organizations in that article sound remarkably like some of the comments on this blog.
Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Ohio Chapter.
CAIR is a nationwide, nonprofit organization whose mission is to “enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.” For the past ten years, CAIR Ohio has played an instrumental role in helping to bridge the divides between Greater Cleveland’s diverse communities.
...
Mr. Speaker and colleagues, please join me in recognizing the Council on American-Islamic Relations Ohio Chapter for their tenth years of outstanding achievement. May their efforts to promote dialogue and create a more inclusive world continue to endure.
I wonder if there's a place for him in a second-term Obama White House.
Apparently, Best Buy's support for Hamas-linked CAIR is an attempt to show their multi-culti diversity. Here's a statement from their Facebook page (Hat Tip: Cheryl H).
Best Buy's customers and employees around the world represent a variety of faiths and denominations. We respect that diversity, and choose to engage with our customers, employees and communities in ways that reflect their traditions and maintain good relationships for Best Buy.
Here's an email response from Islamist Watch, the organization that broke the story:
They "respect that diversity" by financing a group tied to Hamas and pledged to turning America into a Sharia-compliant, Islamic state? They chose to "engage" their customers in ways that reflect "their traditions?" What traditions? Subverting democracy, women's rights and religious plurality? Launching missiles into Israel?
Isn't that what multi-culti is all about? Anything goes except when it's done by the Jews?
And to think that I just picked up a laptop from one of their New Jersey stores for Mrs. Carl last September.... Best Buy - the big discount electronics chain that's very prominent in the New York area - is a platinum sponsor of CAIR - a group that is closely linked to Hamas.
The struggling retail giant recently used profits from American consumers to fund the annual banquet of a group closely linked to Hamas. The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) recently listed Best Buy as a "Platinum Sponsor." Best Buy has refused to rule out future support for CAIR through numerous messages to its public relations department. The big box retailer is already in chaos amid the recent resignation of its CEO for personal misconduct, dwindling sales and bond downgrades.
In an email to me, the article's author, Marc Fink, said that Best Buy did not respond to repeated emails asking for comment. The article includes instructions to whom to write at Best Buy regarding its connection with CAIR and what to do if you get a response. Fink added this in the email:
Our goal is to secure a commitment from Best Buy to never support CAIR in the future.
I just found these internal email addresses: Susan Busch, Director of Public Relations: susan.busch@bestbuy.com, Lisa Hawks, Deputy Director of Public Relations: lisa.hawks@bestbuy.com
Please flood Ms. Bush and Ms. Hawks with emails about this:
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004.
