Report: Obama green lights UN Security Council resolution on 'Palestinian state'
The ink isn't even dry yet on Prime Minister Netanyahu's new coalition agreement, and he may already be facing his first crisis. This crisis isn't with his coalition partners. It's with his supposed ally, the 'most pro-Israel administration evah.' I don't like to sole-source DEBKA, but this one rings true, and there have been enough hints of it in the media to make it plausible: DEBKA is reporting that US President Hussein Obama has green-lighted a Security Council resolution calling for a 'Palestinian State.'
Obama is reported exclusively by our sources to have given
the hitherto withheld green light to European governments to file a UN
Security Council motion proclaiming an independent Palestinian state.
Although Netanyahu left the foreign affairs portfolio in his charge and
available to be filled by a suitably moderate figure as per the White
House’s expectations did not satisfy the US President.
The White House is confident that, with the US voting in
favor, the motion will be passed by an overwhelming majority and
therefore be binding on the Israeli government.
To show the administration was in earnest, senior US
officials sat down with their French counterparts in Paris last week to
sketch out the general outline of this motion. According to our sources,
they began addressing such questions as the area of the Palestinian
state, its borders, security arrangements between Israel and the
Palestinians and whether or not to set a hard-and-fast timeline for
implementation, or phrase the resolution as a general declaration of
intent.
Incorporating a target date in the language would expose Israel to Security Council sanctions for non-compliance.
It was indicated by the American side in Paris that the Obama
administration would prefer to give Netanyahu a lengthy though
predetermined time scale to reconsider his Palestinian policy or even
possibly to broaden and diversify his coalition by introducing
non-aligned factions or figures into such key posts as foreign affairs.
At the same time, both American and French diplomats are already using
the club they propose to hang over the Netanyahu government’s head for
gains in other spheres.
French President Francois Hollande, for instance, the first
foreign leader ever to attend a Gulf Council of Cooperation summit,
which opened in Riyadh Tuesday to discuss Iran and the Yemen war, used
the opportunity to brief Gulf Arab rulers on Washington’s turnaround on
the Israeli-Palestinian issue.
And US Secretary of State John Kerry plans to present the
Obama administration’s new plans for Palestinian statehood to Saudi
leaders during his visit to Riyadh Wednesday and Thursday, May 6-7.
Kerry will use Washington’s willingness to meet Palestinian aspirations
as currency for procuring Saudi and Gulf support for a Yemen ceasefire
and their acceptance of the nuclear deal shaping up with Iran.
This is the Obama Doctrine. When he cannot get what he wants via the
process of leading and making a case, he just side steps anyone deemed
an obstacle – not until demonizing them first. We have seen this with
the GOP legislative branch and now with Israel.
First, he is driven by the wanton desire to have an unprecedented
foreign policy achievement, albeit rather dubious, in nuclear
negotiations with Iran. Second, there will be a “Palestinian” state
before he departs the White House — come hell or high water!
So his preferred course of action will be to side with the other
despots, dictators, theocrats and autocrats that run the United Nations
and by force of will and coercion, cause Israel to capitulate. And I’m
quite sure if anyone were to query the former Secretary of State who is
running for president – which would be difficult, considering she’s not
answering any inquiries – she would most likely carry forth this aspect
of the Obama foreign policy doctrine.
You know there is a part of me – as well as many of you — who would
like to tell the American Jewish community, “I told ya so.” Then again,
what difference at this point does it make?”
...
These are indeed dark days for Israel and these final 18 months of
the Obama rule may prove a greater mountain to overcome than any of us
expected for Israel.
This goes beyond abandonment. It is the purposeful intent to
usher in Israel’s demise. When you consider the lack of regard and
recognition from most of its neighbors — except Egypt and Jordan — the
Israelis find themselves in a treacherous position.
There’s no doubt Israel can make a stand and fight, but who will
reinforce and support? Certainly not the Obama administration that
threatened to cut off Hellfire missile support during the last
conflagration with Hamas. And as it seems most Israelis know, as
Secretary of State during Obama’s first term in office, Hillary Clinton,
was a full partner in his foreign policy. She may try to appear less
ideologically-driven than Obama, but given her recent policy flip flops
on trade, immigration, and crime, the indications are already that her
basic world view is the same as his. After all, as first lady, she and
President Bill Clinton were all chummy with the original Islamic
terrorist, Yasser Arafat.
What West may not get is that most American Jews don't give a damn. That's the truth.
Obama: Islamic State and al-Qaeda have slick videos, 'peaceful' Imams are boring
Yes, President Obama thinks that Muslims are joining terror organizations because Islamic State and al-Qaeda make slick recruitment videos while more 'peaceful' Imams are 'boring.'
Israel
would require some operational logistics and intelligence support from
the United States, and I would not put it past the Islamist-centric
President Obama to withhold such support. Furthermore, it is the “day
after” which should mainly concern Israel. Will the United States back
their play and have their backs?
This career soldier and former Paratrooper thinks not, and that is a
major concern for PM Netanyahu — to a point. Since his rise to power,
President Obama has effectively destabilized the neighborhood in which
Israel resides, and not by incompetence, but by intention.
Yet the American Jewish community blindly followed this mastermind of
disaster, not once but twice. And don’t forget, Hillary and Bill
Clinton entertained Yasser Arafat in the White House. The question is,
now that Obama doesn’t need the Jewish community for another election,
will they awaken from their misguided politically-driven stupor?

Confusion over the deal was quickly replaced with anger as Israelis
woke to the news of the deal, reached in the early hours in Geneva,
which provides Iran with much-needed sanctions relief in exchange for
reductions in its enrichment program.
“All he needed to do was
stop Iran. That’s all we elected him to do for us, and we elected him
twice in a row on that promise,” Israeli schoolteacher Mordechai Ben
Yishai told Israel’s army radio Sunday morning. “As far as I’m concerned
he failed. He was all hot air and no results.”
Iran has been the
focus - if not the defining obsession - of Netanyahu’s political
career. One of his first speeches in parliament as a lawmaker in 1997,
five years before the nuclear crisis began, was about stopping Iran from
obtaining atomic weapons. Campaign posters from his last two election
runs featured frightening images of Israel under siege from a nuclear
Iran.
His speeches often focus on an Iranian bomb as an
“existential threat” to the State of Israel.
Just days before he was
reelected as prime minister in January, Netanyahu told a delegation of
U.S. senators: “My priority, if I’m elected for a next term as prime
minister, will be first to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons.” At
last year’s United Nations general assembly, Netanyahu even held up a
placard with a comical cartoon bomb, complete with a fuse, representing
Iran’s progress towards obtaining weapons capability.
“There is no
doubt that Netanyahu is a big loser in the Iran deal,” said Gil
Hoffman, political editor at the Jerusalem Post. “His whole political
career is built on two things: number one is that he persuaded Israelis
that only he could protect them from Iran, and number two is his image
as someone who could speak to the world in his perfect English in a
persuasive way better than any other Israelis. And here he failed.”
While
Netanyahu could have stressed that the deal reached in Geneva was a
six-month interim deal, and that efforts were still being made to secure
more of Israel’s demands on the permanent deal, he instead lambasted
the entire effort as a “disaster.”
“It just goes to show how
singular minded, how obsessive Netanyahu is about Iran, that he can’t
see any of the positives of this diplomacy or at least spin it that way
to his constituency,” an Israeli Foreign Ministry official said. “This
is what we call blind diplomacy and in the long run, it harms Israel’s
interests abroad.”
Yes, Netanyahu has failed. But not for the reasons Frenkel thinks. He should have attacked Iran a long time ago and did not have the backbone to do it.
With all the talk about his 'political rivals,' one cabinet minister after another has closed ranks around Netanyahu today. Yaalon. Bennett. Liberman. Lapid. All have backed Netanyahu today. So who hasn't? Buzi Herzog? What did you expect him to say?
And then there's this from the incomparable Allen West:
This
is not diplomacy, this is abject surrender and appeasement. Iran loses
nothing, not a single facility, not any capability to enrich uranium,
but we have conceded the one best non-military option: economic
sanctions.
President Bill Clinton promised the same in regards to North Korea,
and did that have any effect? Not to mention that North Korea has taken
an 85-year-old Korean War veteran into detention, and of course we have
done nothing.
Iran has held American Christian minister, Saeed Abedini, in prison
for nearly a year, and President Obama said nothing about his fate, nor
demanded his release. Israel and Saudi Arabia have lost all trust and
confidence in America as a credible ally.
Secretary Kerry said the objective is “to require Iran to prove the
peaceful nature of its nuclear program.” Yeah, right. We have fallen for
the biggest deception ever. Perhaps these inept progressives should
study the model for Islamic totalitarian negotiations, Muhammad’s Treaty of Hudaybiyyah.
As well, they need to understand the principle of taquiyya – lying to
“infidels” to promote the advancement of Islamic conquest and
objectives.
The goal of the sanctions was to bring Iran to its knees and force
them to surrender their march towards a nuclear weapon capability — not
to get them to negotiate. The agreed-upon measures are in effect for six
months, then what?
The Iranian version of the Munich Agreement was just signed in Geneva. Like Czechoslovakia in 1938, which was not party to the Western powers' discussions that effectively brought about its demise, Israel today watches from the sidelines as its existential interest is being sacrificed by the West. Any rational person understands that we are in the midst of a process that will lead to a nuclear-armed Iran.
...
In response to this new Munich Agreement, we must adopt a new/old strategy: the same strategy with which Menachem Begin solved the nuclear Iraq problem. Israel must immediately announce the cessation of all ties and dialogue with the Western powers on the Iranian nuclear issue. The world must understand that this game is over. Israel cannot consider itself bound by this agreement and from this morning, assumes exclusive responsibility for dealing with Iran.
My sense is that Israelis are furious about this agreement. But none of them are blaming Netanyahu for it. Blame will instead be laid at Washington's doorstep. And we all fear that all too soon, we will find out that was the right place to lay it.
Is President Obama incompetent or is his behavior intentional? Before I give you former Congressman Allen West's (R-Fl) answer, let me give you mine. His behavior is intentional. The fact that he's also incompetent is probably his only saving grace. Were he not so blatant about it, we would probably all be a lot worse off. By the way, that's one of the worst pictures of Mooch I can recall....
There
are too many instances of destabilization of our economy – not to
mention our national security — to believe this is just incompetence.
It’s getting too easy to connect the dots between our foreign policy of
snubbing allies and courting enemies, slow dismantling of our military
readiness, money-printing, and control of education through Common Core.
How can an entire administration be that incompetent? What do you
think? Is there is an intentional nefarious design at play?
However, there is another lie which has far greater implications for American credibility: “Iran will not get nuclear weapons.”
According to the follow-on reports from the negotiations of the UN
P5+1 and Iran in Geneva, President Obama, through his characterless
mouthpiece, Secretary of State John Kerry, was willing to end all
sanctions against the rogue Islamic regime for minuscule concessions.
Even worse, our allies in the Middle East know of this betrayal. And
to have Mr. Kerry further threaten Israel’s economic and national
security forcing them to bend to President Obama’s PLO love fest is
unconscionable.
America under Barack Hussein Obama is being fundamentally transformed
into a weak, retreating, untrustworthy actor on the international
stage. The Obama administration severely lacks integrity, which reflects
adversely upon our nation and its citizens.
I hope at some point the American Jewish community will awaken. I’ve
almost lost any hope for my own black community, which is being led to a
slaughter in the inner cities. If the Jewish American community
continues to live in the fantasy world that these progressive socialists
actually care about Israel, it is completely delusional.
Unfortunately, much of the Jewish community still equates Judaism with liberalism, and is struggling to find a way to label West a racist instead of listening to what he has to say.
Former Republican congressman Allen West has it right. Barack Hussein Obama is an Israeli nightmare.
POTUS grand Mideast strategy seems 2 b how many countries can he destabilize & let Islamic terrorists take over. He's an Israeli nightmare.

Best description I've seen in 140 characters or less.
Surprise: County that 'defeated' Allen West had 141.1% turnout, West leads in recount!
You may recall that I reported on Friday that Representative Allen West (R-Fl) has demanded a recount in St. Lucie County, Florida, one of the three counties that is at least partly included in his district.
I'm sure that you'll all be shocked to hear that St.. Lucie County, which voted overwhelmingly for President Hussein Obama, had a turnout of 141.1% on election day. I'm sure you'll be really shocked to hear (no sarcasm in that one) that West is leading the recount.
When faced with the astronomical figures, Gertrude Walker, Supervisor of
Elections for St. Lucie County, said she had no idea why turnout was so
incredibly high. She was flabbergasted, saying, "We've never seen that here."
This should mean that there will be a FINAL RECOUNT in Tallahassee of ALL the votes in this election!! They will now go thru ALL the ballots and make this official. This could take a week or two. THANKS goes out to the TEA Party patriots of South Florida who did some really incredible work...
It also sounds like Mitt Romney should be demanding a recount in a few states. This is from the first link again.
Rep. Allen West demands recount in St. Lucie County
Representative Allen West (R-Fl), who was declared the loser in his reelection bid by about 2,500 votes, is demanding a full recount in St. Lucie County, one of three counties his district includes. He has filed a lawsuit, and it sounds like he has a good case.
Allen West believes the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections is trying to throw the election (via Allen West’s campaign):
Our race is far
from decided and there is no rush to declare an outcome. Ensuring a fair
and accurate counting off all ballots is of the utmost importance.
There are still tens of thousands of absentee ballots to be counted in
Palm Beach County and potential provisional ballots across the district.
Late
last night Congressman West maintained a district wide lead of nearly
2000 votes until the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections
“recounted” thousands of early ballots. Following that “recount”
Congressman West trailed by 2,400 votes. In addition, there
were numerous other disturbing irregularities reported at polls across
St. Lucie County including the doors to polling places being locked when
the polls closed in direct violation of Florida law, thereby preventing
the public from witnessing the procedures used to tabulate results.
The St. Lucie
County Supervisor of Elections office clearly ignored proper rules and
procedures, and the scene at the Supervisor’s office last night could
only be described as complete chaos. Given the hostility and
demonstrated incompetence of the St. Lucie County Supervisor of
Elections, we believe it is critical that a full hand recount of the
ballots take place in St. Lucie County. We will continue to fight to
ensure every vote is counted properly and fairly, and accordingly we
will pursue all legal means necessary.
Congressman Allen West's "Field of Dreams" speech in Temecula California
before the November election. Not since Ronald Reagan has the mission
and purpose of the Conservative movement been articulated so well. Thank
God for Allen West. (Californians: register to vote by Oct. 22nd at the
Calif. Secretary of State Website. Save the Field of Dreams!)
Mark Levin came out to speak for Allen West (R-Fl) at a campaign rally in Florida on Saturday. I have both speeches for you - first West's, then Levin's.
Congressman Allen West (R-Fl) issued a statement demolishing President Obama over the murder of the US Ambassador to Libya and three embassy employees on Tuesday.
“Less than 24 hours after our nation remembered the heinous attacks of September 11, 2001, Americans find their sovereign soil attacked again as more American lives are lost at the hands of intolerant, barbaric, radical Muslims.
United States Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and several embassy staff were murdered late yesterday when suspected religious extremists stormed the United States Consulate in Benghazi. This morning, my condolences and prayers go out to the families of the victims.
Americans need to question whether the deaths of these innocent patriots could have been avoided. The Obama Administration touted the Arab Spring as an awakening of freedom, which we now see is a nightmare of Islamism.
Even more concerning, is the initial response to these attacks last night from the embassy officials of the Obama Administration was to apologize for a Facebook video that supposedly hurt Muslim feelings. President Obama’s policy of appeasement towards the Islamic world has manifested itself into a specter of unconscionable hatred.
How anyone can believe this President is strong on national security and foreign policy is beyond my comprehension. President Obama has clearly surpassed former President Jimmy Carter and his actions during the Iranian Embassy crisis as the weakest and most ineffective person to ever occupy the White House.”
The Romney campaign should be spreading that statement far and wide.
