'Israeli Arab' soccer team pays tribute to traitor Azmi Bishara
Many of you might recall former Balad MK Azmi Bishara who fled the country and resigned from the Knesset after it was discovered that he helped Hezbullah spot rockets during the Second Lebanon War in 2006. On Saturday, the soccer team in the 'Israeli Arab' town of Bnei Sakhnin - which is part of Israel's national league and plays games against teams from all over the country - paid tribute to Bishara, prompting calls to suspend the team from the league.
At the beginning of the Bnei Sakhnin vs. Hapoel Tel Aviv game, the team
held a ceremony thanking a wealthy man from Qatar for contributing $2
million to the team.
Balad party representatives accepted the award, mentioning Bishara’s name.
Bishara founded Balad and was an MK in the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th Knessets.
He
fled Israel in 2007 while under investigation for passing information
to Hezbollah during the previous year’s Second Lebanon War. He
currently resides in Doha, where he is the director of a think tank and
is reportedly close to Qatar’s royal family, a major sponsor of Hamas.
Fans
in the stands Saturday night waved banners reading “Jerusalem is
ours,” with an illustration of the Temple Mount wrapped in a keffiyeh,
and “The police are whores.”
Earlier this week, there were violent clashes between Muslims and police on Temple Mount.
I'm wondering what HaPoel Tel Aviv did during the 'ceremony.' In any event, Israel's 'Football Association' is claiming they were tricked.
The Football Association said Bnei Sakhnin asked only to give
certificates of honor to the team’s sponsors and did not mention
Bishara, and the association will put the team’s management on
disciplinary trial.
FIFA and UEFA rules do not allow soccer teams to mix politics and soccer.
Report: Kerry's friends in Qatar threatened to expel Meshaal if he accepted the cease fire
If we didn't have enough reasons to bar US Secretary John FN Kerry from interfering with our affairs until now, we may have a huge one. As you might recall, Kerry pushed to replace Egypt with Qatar and Turkey as the intermediaries between Israel and Hamas. Now, it turns out that Qatar may have brought about the resumption of Hamas rocket fire on Israel by threatening Hamas politburo chief Khaled Meshaal with expulsion from the country if he agreed to Egypt's cease fire proposal.
The Fatah source added that Qatar threatened to expel
Qatar-based Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal, saying it would "force
him to leave," if Hamas agreed to the Egyptian truce proposal in its current structure.
Indeed Hamas rejected the proposal last week, with Mashaal saying "we want serious negotiations that lead to an end of the aggression on Gaza and granting the Palestinian demands."
The new revelation would appear to lend credence to reports
Tuesday that the breach of the ceasefire was in fact orchestrated by
none other than Mashaal.
An unnamed security source told Walla! the initial rocket
salvo on Be'er Sheva was ordered directly by Mashaal, who reportedly
bypassed Hamas's "military wing", the Al-Qassam Brigades, and ordered a
specially-assigned unit of Hamas operatives answerable directly to him
to launch the attack.
The source claimed Mashaal was aiming to sabotage negotiations for a long-term truce in Cairo, which were not going his way.
A senior Hamas source last week urged a different nation to replace Egypt as intermediary in the talks, labeling Egypt "the basic delaying source preventing an agreement."
Hamas may have envisioned Qatar as the replacement, given that
the source called for a new third-party that would help achieve the
terror group's demands, including terrorists releases and a Gaza sea and
airport.
This also puts a very different - and harsher - light on last week's visit to Qatar by three MK's from the Balad party.
It is worth noting that three Arab-nationalist Balad MKs recently traveled to Qatar,
where they reportedly met the traitor ex-MK Azmi Bishara, who founded
their party before fleeing Israel after passing information to direct
Hezbollah rockets on Israeli citizens.
Kerry, Zoabi and Zahalka should all be exiled together to a desert island. Maybe Bishara would like to join them.

MK's on Israel's Right are calling for the Balad party to be investigated and banned from the Knesset after MK's Jamal Zahalka, Hanin Zoabi and Bassel Ghattas traveled to Qatar for 'media appearances' and to meet with exiled former Balad party MK Azmi Bishara.
On Sunday, a Balad spokesman said the party's three MKs, Jamal Zahalka, Haneen Zoabi and Bassel Ghattas, went to Qatar for media appearances, though they appeared on the Qatari news channel Al-Jazeera several times from Israel in recent weeks.
The spokesman also did not confirm or deny reports they met with Balad founder Azmi Bishara, who fled from Israel and resigned from the Knesset in 2007 as he was under investigation for giving information to Hezbollah during the Second Lebanon War.
[Transportation Minister Yisrael] Katz said that he amended the law to make it illegal for people who support terrorism to run for the Knesset and he had Bishara and Balad banned from running, via the Central Election Committee, but the Supreme Court overturned the vote.
"I am now preparing a new petition against Zoabi and Balad and I hope the Supreme Court won't intervene this time," he added.
Knesset Interior Committee chairwoman Miri Regev (Likud) wrote a letter to Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein asking that he investigate the MKs' visit to Qatar and ban their party.
"It is the right thing to do to investigate MKs Zahalke, Zoabi and Ghattas who traveled to the land of terrorism, especially when we know that all of the terrorism is funded by Qatar's leaders and that the heads of Hamas live in Qatar, where they are defended," Regev wrote.
"There is legal precedent for this in Israel. We cannot forget former MK Bishara, who was a traitor to the state and lived in Qatar, the shelter for terrorists," Regev added.
MK Alex Miller (Yisrael Beytenu) said he plans to complain to the Knesset Ethics Committee about the Balad MKs, in order to examine who paid for their trip to Qatar.
On Sunday, the Balad spokesman said the MKs paid for their own trip.
"Three Balad MKs visiting the terrorism sponsor Qatar, which funds Hamas, and their meeting with the fugitive spy Azmi Bishara, is further proof of their activity that is hostile to the State of Israel, which they are supposed to represent," Miller said.
Last month, Zoabi was banned from all Knesset activities except voting for six months after she made statements in support of Hamas.
The only way to stop this behavior is to ban from the Knesset the parties that do it. There's a law on the books that allows the Central Elections Committee to ban parties that don't accept Israel as a 'Jewish and democratic state,' but the only time the Leftist Supreme Court has ever upheld the ban was when it was invoked against Rabbi Meir Kahane HY"D (May God Avenge his blood) and his Kach party, which was claimed to be anti-democratic.
Dubai's Deputy Police Commissioner Dahi Halfan on Monday demanded that Bishara leave the Persian Gulf and return to Israel, reports Yedioth Ahronoth. The former MK has been living in oil-rich Qatar, and working as a commentator for Al Jazeera.
Halfan accused Bishara of being involved in an "Israeli plot" to
control the Gulf states, writing on Twitter, "Azmi Bishara. I'm a member
of the security forces, and people in the Gulf don't want you anymore.
Go back to the Israeli Knesset and tell them that their plot failed."
Last week, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates made an
unprecedented decision to remove their ambassadors from Qatar, in a
protest of perceived Qatari meddling in their internal affairs.
The countries charged Bishara's employer Al Jazeera, which is run by Qatar, of leading the meddling. Qatar has also been distanced from its Gulf neighbors in its support of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Once upon a time, Azmi Bishara was a Knesset member representing an 'Israeli Arab party.' In 2007, Bishara fled Israel (and resigned from the Knesset) when it was discovered that during the 2006 Second Lebanon War he was helping Hezbullah to target missiles. That's called treason.
For a while thereafter, Bishara continued to receive his pension and other benefits from the Knesset! The Knesset finally revoked those benefits in 2010. Bishara now lives in Qatar, where he is close to the ruling family.
Inspector Tamim was formerly the police chief of Dubai. He made himself famous during the uproar that followed the liquidation of Hamas arms dealer Mahmoud al-Mabhouh.
Tamim has gone a little off the wall lately, and Israel Radio reported in its 9:00 am newscast that Tamim has accused Bishara of being an Israeli agent, and calling for Bishara to be expelled from the Persian Gulf. Here's hoping they get to duel it out over those charges really soon.

Incredibly, that was written by Amnon Rubenstein of the Meretz party back in the days when supporting a 'Palestinian' state was rightfully considered treason in Israel. But Rubenstein was correct. There is no such thing as a separate 'Palestinian' nation.
Remember Azmi Bishara, the 'Israeli Arab' politician who fled Israel when he was about to be indicted for treason for helping Hezbullah in the 2006 Second Lebanon War? Well, here he is on Israeli television in 1994.

Relying strictly on Arab sources, Martin Sherman writes that this is all part of a lie: The lie that there is a 'Palestinian nation.'
The partition of Palestine, in 1947, and the establishment of Israel are illegal and null and void, regardless of the passage of time... The claims of historic and spiritual ties between Jews and Palestine are incompatible with the facts of history or with true conception of what constitutes statehood.
– Articles 17 and 18 of the original Palestinian National Covenant (1964). (The same clauses appear almost verbatim as Clauses 19 and 20 in the current version. Both are posted at the website of the Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine at the UN.) This declaration, made long before any “occupation” or “settlements,” highlights that Arab enmity towards Israel is fueled by its being – not by its borders. All of this should be borne in mind as September 23 approaches. For what we are about to witness at the UN is nothing less an endeavor at political alchemy – the conjuring up of a substantive political construct out of mere political myth; an attempt to produce a nation where the elements of nationhood do not exist; an effort to construct a state when the components of statehood are absent.

Not only do the Palestinians admit that they are not a discrete sociological entity, i.e., a people.
They also concede that as a political unit, i.e., a nation, their demands and aspirations as are neither genuine nor permanent.
Thus Muhsin candidly confessed: “It is only for political reasons that we carefully underline our Palestinian identity, because it is in the interest of the Arabs to encourage a separate Palestinian identity. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity serves only tactical purposes. The founding of a Palestinian state is a new tool in the continuing battle against Israel [sic].”
Doesn’t get much more explicit than that! Indeed the Palestinians not only affirm that their national demands are bogus, but that they are only a temporary instrumental ruse.

Article 16 of the original version of the Palestinian National sets out the desire of the people of Palestine, “who look forward to... restoring the legitimate situation to Palestine, establishing peace and security in its territory, and enabling its people to exercise national sovereignty...”
However, since the Covenant was adopted in 1964, well before Israel “occupied” a square inch of the “West Bank” or Gaza, the question is precisely what is meant by “its territory” in which the Palestinians were “looking forward...to exercise national sovereignty.” Indeed in Article 24, they state specifically what this territory did not include, and where they were not seeking to exercise “national sovereignty.”
In it they explicitly proclaim that they do not desire to “exercise any territorial sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, [or] on the Gaza Strip.”
From this we learn two stunning facts. Not only did the Palestinians not claim the “West Bank” and Gaza as part of their homeland, but they specifically excluded them from it. Moreover, they explicitly acknowledged – and accepted –that the “West Bank” belonged to another sovereign entity, the Hashemite Kingdom.
There is thus not the slightest resemblance – indeed not even one square inch of overlap – between the territory claimed by the Palestinians as their “homeland” when they first formulated their national aspirations and the “homeland” allegedly envisaged/claimed today.
Indeed, the two visions of “homeland” territories are mutually exclusive.
Accordingly, it would seem that Jewish rule is far more central in defining the location of the Palestinian “homeland” than any “collective historical memory.”
For the Palestinians only incorporated the “West Bank” (and Gaza) in their territorial claims when they came under Israeli control – clearly vindicating the view that the concept of “Palestinian-ness” is a fabricated construct, conjured up to further the Arab quest to repudiate “Jewishness.”
Read the whole thing. Why should we give one square inch of the Holy Land to these stinking frauds?
Israel's fifth column supports a combination of 'negotiations' and 'resistance'
If any of you have any doubt that much of the 'Israeli-Arab' population is anything other than a fifth column within the state of Israel, perhaps reading their own words will dispel those doubts.
The Balad party is an 'Israeli-Arab' party in the Knesset. Its longtime leader - Azmi Bishara - fled the country ahead of an indictment for helping Hezbullah during the Second Lebanon War. Another Knesset member from the party, Hanin Zoabi, has been in the news lately because she lost many of her Knesset privileges after participating in the Gaza flotilla as a passenger aboard the Mavi Marmara.
This is a summary followed by a transcript of speeches by the Balad party at an Arafat memorial rally in November. I'll give you the summary and then you can read the entire thing here. And then, in the spirit of 'we report, you decide,' you can all decide whether 'Israeli-Arabs' are a fifth column you would want in your midst.
On November 12, 2010, the National Democratic Assembly (aka Balad), an Arab party in the Israeli Knesset, held a "National Principles" rally in Umm Al-Fahm, marking the anniversary of Yasser Arafat's death for the first time since his death six years ago. The rally was widely covered by Israeli Arab websites, including the site of the Umm Al-Fahm municipality, which posted pictures and videos of the event.
The speakers at the rally glorified Arafat as the uncontested leader of the Palestinian revolution, who never gave up on his principles and wisely combined negotiations with resistance. They blamed Israel for his death and called for an international investigation into its circumstances. The speakers also accused the Palestinian Authority and its head, Mahmoud Abbas, of mishandling the Palestinians' affairs, urging them to stop the security coordination with Israel and to defend the Palestinian nation's rights. One speaker even called the very existence of the Palestinian Authority into question, saying it had failed in its mission.
Speakers stressed that the Israeli Arabs, as an integral part of the Palestinian people and as the strategic reserves of the Palestinian enterprise, would continue to struggle against the Zionist hegemony and to fight the racism it directed against them.
Ayman Suleiman, deputy mayor of Umm Al-Fahm and a member of the Islamic Movement, said that the residents of his town were delighted to host the Balad rally in honor of "the heroic leader, the shahid Yasser Arafat." He called it "a rally of resistance... that plays a direct role in strengthening our collective identity and our rights in this country and over this country, as its original natives."
It should be noted that the establishment of Balad was motivated by its founders' opposition to the Oslo Accords, and that it supports the solution of Israel as a single, bi-national state. [1]
It should also be noted that Umm Al-Fahm is considered a stronghold of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement, headed by Sheikh Raed Salah, who is currently serving a sentence of several month's imprisonment in Israel.
