MK; 'Obama likely to be dangerous for Israel'

Here's some really spot-on commentary from Likud MK Ayoub Kara.
MK Ayoub Kara (Likud) openly expressed concern Wednesday following U.S. President Barack Obama’s victory in the U.S. presidential elections. “The truth must be said. This leopard is likely to change its spots and to be very dangerous for Israel,” he warned.
All the hypocritical, cowardly Israeli politicians are giving media interviews and are suddenly showering endless praises on Barack Obama and his support for Israel…. I’m sure that if Obama had lost the elections, we’d be hearing a different song,” he said.
Ouch. But definitely spot-on.

Keep the smile on and Israel's economy will "unexpectedly" keep prospering, while the U.S. economy is driven over a cliff...

I don't know about this. True he loathes Israel and most likely is closet antisemite like most American politicians. But Obama is a campaigner not a governor. He'd rather run around getting elected than doing the job. He's frankly quite disinterested in the job and only does what he thinks will burnish his story for posterity and glowing praise from people. It's entirely likely he'll do very little overt against Israel because he simply doesn't seem to care. And while it's patently obvious he sent Valerie Jarrett to conclude a quiet detente with Iran over their atomic weapons: if they don't announce they're a regional nuclear power before 1Q2013 then Obama will ensure no one interferes with them. After that, he bolts from the entirety of West Asia and the Mideast, cuts Israel loose and announces a new strategic partnership with Turkey. But I think he's given up just like the Romans did, trying to govern those stubborn Jews who refuse to pray to him as a man-god.

The printed Green Slush will keep you prosperous and surely there will be giddiness at the existing (competing!!!) systems being killed off, leaving the U.S. poor in the cold and dark. The EPA will be unleashed any minute with executive order regs to de-industrialize the U.S.. But in the meantime, maybe they'll pass this along as Green Slush rather than using it to reduce the yearly U.S. deficit. Won't that be lucky?

Sunlight,

I disagree. The green slush is lining the pockets of a few very well-connected people. The average Israeli gets no more benefit from it than the average American.

We're the ones who ARE drilling. Remember? (Although it's likely that the profits from that drilling are only going to go to a few well-connected people as well, but at least our supply will be assured).
