Surreal: Obama and Clinton apologize to Muslims on Pakistani television

President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton have apologized to Muslims for the movie Innocence of Muslims in an ad shown on Pakistani television. The ad cost $70,000 to make and was shown on seven different Pakistani television stations. President Obama's statement is from Washington, DC on September 12 and Secretary Clinton's remarks are from Morocco on September 13. Let's go to the videotape. More after the video.

Lori Lowenthal Marcus adds:
Despite the official efforts to stem Muslim anger, thousands of Pakistanis attempted to storm the American Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday. When riot police were unable to hold off the crowds, the Pakistani military was called in.
The Pakistani government has proclaimed Friday, the Islamic day of prayer which is when Muslim riots tend to be most extensive and violent, to be a national holiday so that the expected demonstrations can proceed “peacefully.”
...
In other action taken by the US government on Thursday, all US citizens were warned to defer non-essential travel to Pakistan until further notice. American consulates throughout Pakistan have been closed to the public all week.
So when are the American people going to decided that they have seen enough of their 'leaders' groveling to the Islamic savages? And by the way, hasn't Obama done a great job of 'repairing' America's relations with the Muslim world? I don't remember Bush having riots like this (although I also did not appreciate his constant references to the 'religion of peace' either).
