Bolton endorses Romney, says US not doing enough on Iran

Here's a fascinating interview that Fox News' Greta van Sustern did on Wednesday night with former UN ambassador John Bolton. In the first part of the interview, Bolton endorses Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination, saying that Romney is the most conservative candidate who is capable of defeating Barack Hussein Obama. While I believe that Santorum and Gingrich are both better on Israel (and a whole bunch of other issues) than Romney, I can see Bolton's argument.

I would be much more prepared to support Romney if I knew that his Secretary of State is going to be named John Bolton.

In the second part of the interview, Bolton talks about Iran and about Wednesday's liquidation of yet another Iranian nuclear scientist. He raises an important point: For Hillary Clinton to deny that the US was involved in it was about the stupidest thing she could have done. Even if the US had nothing to do with it (and knows who did it), you've just had deterrence handed to you on a silver platter. Why give it up?

Let's go to the videotape.

There's a transcript of the video here.

Huge Bolton fan on defense, but man did he get this one wrong- bad timing to say the least

Mitt's in decline, as Newt's (counter) attack ads start to bite: Romney's only up 2 pts in SC in the latest poll, and Gingrich is out front in NC already- the day's soon approaching when Romney is going to regret forcing the doughboy to go nuclear.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right Mittens?

Let's put this in another context. Let's say college grades. Obama is a definite F. Any decent Republican is at least a C, maybe even higher. Which would you prefer, an F or a C or better?

My view at this point: ANY Republican (except Ron Paul, who doesn't have a chance in hell of getting the nomination) is way, way, way better than four more years of Obama & Co.
