French foreign minister 'fires' candidate for opposing 'Palestinian' UDI

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe has 'fired' an employee of the French Foreign Ministry for expressing her opposition to the 'Palestinian' UDI. With thanks to EG for the translation from the French (which he originally received from Phillippe Karsenty of al-Dura fame).
"I congratulate the UMP candidate, Valerie Hoffenberg, for having opposed the Palestinian initiative asking for recognition of a state at the UN on the coming 20 September. For more details read this article:

Israel: The UMP candidate Valerie Hoffenberg Fired by Juppe"

Juppe is French FM. Hoffenberg is running for office on the UMP ticket for parliamentary delegate of French citizens in several Mediterranean countries, including Israel. Karsenty is one of her opponents in the race. The UMP is Sarko's party, I believe. She told an AFP journalist "in a personal capacity" that:
« Je ne connais pas la position officielle de la France. […] Mais à titre personnel, j'appelle les Palestiniens à reconsidérer leur décision de demander l'adhésion d'un Etat de Palestine aux Nations unies. »
TRANS: "I don't know the official position of France. . . But personally, I call on the Palestinians to reconsider their decision to ask for membership of a State of Palestine in the United Nations."
It should be noted that UMP is President Sarkozy's party and one of the people running against Hoffenberg is... Phillippe Karsenty.

Hmmm.
