If you can tell a country's mood by its taxi drivers, the taxi driver who took me home from the airport this morning was furious with Obama and asked me how I thought the Jews - and specifically the Orthodox Jews - would be voting in 2012. It doesn't matter that Obama tried to backtrack by telling AIPAC 'with agreed adjustments.' As far as Israelis are concerned, he said '1967 borders' and therefore he ought to be damned to hell.
And the Israelis are right.

The Arabs have stopped including the bit about "agreed swaps" too. They are now saying that the "67 border" are their borders in negotiations and it's a done deal. They don't intend to negotiate about this at all if negotiations start again.
This is what they wanted from Obama and he gave it to them.
