Turkey turns down Terkel's request to interview the captain

Turkey has turned down a request by Israel's Terkel Commission, which is investigating the flotilla incident, to interview the captain of the Mavi Marmara.
Turkey formed its own committee to investigate the flotilla incident which has already heard testimony from the Mavi Marmara's captain and crew. According to the Channel Two report, the Turks have already sent the committee's findings to the United Nations and have told Israel to look at the testimony of the captain contained within the existing report if they believe it can aid their investigation.

The Turks also emphasized that the flotilla incident will not be over until Israel apologizes for killing nine Turkish activists during the raid and pays their families reparations. IDF soldiers, who had been ordered to use paint guns instead of standard riot gear such as tear gas and rubber bullets due to political pressure on Israel from the Obama administration, were attacked by the Turkish militants and acted in self defense with live fire.
Why are we such masochists? If every time you go up to someone, they beat you over the head with a stick, shouldn't you stop approaching them and save yourself? To hell with Turkey.

Israel should demand an apology for Turkey for kicking up such a stink that she had little choice but to release Bulent Yildirim, mastermind of the plan to take Israeli soldiers hostage... for purposes unknown
