US promised to 'deliver' Israel
One of the reasons that the 'Palestinians' are holding out on the issue of the 'settlement freeze' is that they claim that the US promised to 'deliver' Israel. The London-based al-Hayat newspaper reported on Wednesday that the Palestinian Authority negotiating team has threatened to quit direct talks with Israel should the Jewish state resume Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria during the Sharm el-Sheikh summit. According to the report, Israel has made it clear it will not extend the American-imposed 10-month ban when it expires on September 26.What could go wrong?
Nabil Abu Rudeina, a member of the PA negotiations team, told the paper that American officials have committed to pressure Israel into extending the ban.
