Hillary Clinton: Status quo sustainable for 30 years

U.S. Secretary of State Clinton said in Jerusalem on 15 September 2010 that the status quo might be sustainable for three decades.

Let's go to the videotape.

I'll tell you what. Instead of rushing into a false peace now with half the 'Palestinians' who are 'led' by someone whose term in office expired 20 months ago, let's keep the status quo for 30 years and then decide what to do. Who knows: Maybe some of the 'Palestinians' will leave by then.

Heh.

This is what Barry Rubin has been saying for some time now!

There is really no "fierce moral urgency" to push the sides into a deal they don't really want.

The status quo will last for a very long time because there is no solution both sides find satisfactory.

Now if only the American mediators would stop pushing the Israelis and Palestinians into pointless meetings, the Middle East would be far better off.

Let's hope Hillary takes her own advice.

i know one thing...in 30 years (if mashiach doesnt come first) the leaders of the israel is the cause of the worlds problems will all be dead

they keep saying that its the young people who are anti israel...but all i ever see is a bunch of men and women in their 50s and 60s who are still pining away for the peace and love movement of the 60s

i say wait them out

I'm not for a status quo, not for 1 year, certainly not for 30.

The terrorist entities of the PA and Hamas have to be destroyed and their Arab citizens can drink the waters of Amman and Alexandria.

This should have been done 30 years ago.
