Shimon speaks
The American Friends for a Safe Israel maintains a web page called What Shimon Says. The web page grew out of a 1996-list called Shimon Says, and it is a collection of 'utterances' (they cannot be called wit and wisdom) of the ever surreal Shimon Peres. This utterance deserves inclusion as one of the most foolish things ever said. President Shimon Peres said Sunday night that the real conflict in the Middle East was not between Israel and the PA, but between Iran and the Arab world. Peres said Iran wanted to become a regional power with a religious cloak and that she has become very aggressive. Therefore, added Peres, Prime Minister Netanyahu was right at the summit in Washington to make concessions to the Arab residents of Judea and Samaria.And what of Ahmadinejad's threats to wipe us out (not to mention the 'Palestinians' long-standing desire to do the same)?

Let's just convert Israel into an Internet website.
No one, including Reb Shimon, will have to worry any more about the "occupation" or the threat from Iran.
