Negotiation dividends: 7% increase in support for Israel since July

A poll conducted for the Israel Project shows that since July, the percentage of Americans who believe that their government should back Israel in its dispute with the 'Palestinians' has increased from 51% to 58%.
Of 800 people questioned, 58 percent thought the U.S. should support Israel – a jump of 7 percent on a similar poll in July.

Seven percent thought the U.S. should support the Palestinians, while six percent said America should back neither side.

A majority of respondents (58 percent) also thought Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was committed to making peace, while 40 percent thought the same of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

“Support for Israel among Americans remains strong and steady,” said pollster Neil Newhouse of Public Opinion Strategies.

The poll of 800 likely voters conducted between September 9 and September 12 by Public Opinion Strategies and Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research found, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
I can think of other reasons why that percentage might have increased. I don't see anything here that draws a direct connection between the increase in support for Israel and the 'peace talks.'

I would imagine that the 7% increase in support for Israel is related to the general waking up of more Americans... when they rub their eyes and look around, they see that Israel got out of Leb., got out of Gaza and major parts of the West Bank, and in return have had civilians suicide-bombed and rocketed (although the IDF or whoever have not made this case in detail yet - which showed up in the video about Sweden, where a Swedish woman is totally clueless about why Israel fights the Palis)...

The dividend among a wide range of the American public is that Israel has tried what the lefties wanted and got death and destruction in return. So Israel will be more supported in preventing themselves from being treated the way the Arabs, etc. in the region treat each other and hope to further smash onto Israel. Major dividend for Israel. Arizona is in the same dividend pool for the waking-up-American public support in defending themselves.

Re Arizona and self defense - looks like a start to a series:

American Rancher X - Part 1

I thought about taking my camera down to the border to record and write up what's happening. But I figured I wasn't really prepared for a free fire zone. Now I'm glad the Ramadi Alumni Association is doing it and I can see that it would be downright irresponsible to just show up down there untrained. I heard that some of the troops being deployed down there just got back from Afghanistan and apparently Chicago is hoping for some of the members of this Alumni Association also to do combat patrols there.

So, you see, Americans (if not the govt people in the D.C. bubble) are starting to get the drift, resulting in huge % support for Arizona and Israel.
