The ship is set to sail on Yom Kippur.

I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). We have Jews for whom the sacred nature of Yom Kippur means nothing.
I agree with Shy Guy - "and your destroyers shall come from within."
What kind of Jew embarks on such a journey on the most sacred day of Yom Kippur. Obviously one who doesn't care about being a Jew, one who has foresaken his inheritance and his people. It is these kinds who should be cut off from the people of Israel. I agree that the ship should be sunk along with the wicked on board...
