Gates definitely out

Defense Secretary Bob Gates said Thursday he's made up his mind that he will leave the job before the 2012 presidential election, but isn't yet saying exactly when he plans to go.Chuck Hagel coming? What could go wrong?
"Yeah, I've made up my mind," Gates told journalists at the Pentagon Thursday, Gordon Lubold reports in Morning Defense.
Defense sources had previously suggested Gates would probably leave sometime in mid-2011.
