Fatah and Hamas to talk

Hamas and Fatah are getting together on Friday to talk about reconciliation.
Fatah official Azzam al-Ahmed will meet with Hamas political supremo Khaled Meshaal, who lives in exile in Syria, Hamas political official Ezzat al-Rushuq said.

The talks will be the fruit of efforts by Meshaal after he met in Saudi Arabia with Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, who has been instrumental in past efforts by Cairo to end the dispute between the two parties.
What could go wrong?

A Fatah-Hamas reconciliation would probably mean the end of the current peace talks.

So there's a silver lining if the two sides really do kiss and make up.

That's still a longshot prospect though.
