Video: Three IDF soldiers describe doing guard duty during Ramadan

This video was posted by the IDF, and frankly I think it goes a bit overboard.
Three soldiers recount their training and experiences while working at checkpoints with Palestinians. The soldiers explain how they are taught to respect those crossing through and accommodate them during religious holidays such as Ramadan. Having been instilled with the IDF's ethical code, "The Spirit of the IDF," the soldiers do their utmost to ease the process of Palestinians crossing, recognizing the fact that a majority of those entering the checkpoint do not pose a threat to the Israeli population.
Let's go to the videotape (Hat Tip: Aussie Dave via Twitter).

Political correctness bordering on the absurd. Only Jews are brainwashed to be considerate of an enemy, who if the circumstances were reversed, would kill them.

The IDF's garbage code stands in contradiction to the received wisdom of the Sages found in The Talmud: "He who is merciful to the cruel will be cruel to the merciful." No, Carl - the IDF's so called "humane values" did not prevent them from uprooting the Jews from Gaza. Nothing stopped them from following illegal and immoral orders.

Why the sensitivity for the Arabs when none is displayed by it towards Jews?

Painful to listen to: knowing that the Fakes would soon as look at those boys as kill them, no warnings of course!

Ah, we should not be OK, just because THEY aren't?????
In world war two, a Rav told his student who said he had trouble saying the blessing "she lo ani...." : "Be glad that you would never sink to their level."
Yes, we have to be carefull. Any and all precautions should be done. But that does not absolve us of the obligation to be "mechin".
