'Peace' with Israel and with Hamas?

With direct talks between Israel and the 'Palestinian Authority' due to get underway on September 2, the 'good terrorists' from Fatah have decided that now is the time to enter into unity talks with Hamas.
Fatah officials, in Gaza to offer condolences to family members of a former PA intelligence chief, will begin meetings with Hamas officials to discuss Palestinian unity, sources confirmed Friday.

Fatah Central Committee member Sakher Besisu said details of an immanent meeting were being arranged ahead of an expected Saturday sit down with Fatah party leaders Zakarieyah Al-Agha and Abdallh Al-Ifranji, both Gaza natives.

The two were in Gaza offering condolences to Amin Al-Hindi, who died in Jordan on Wednesday.

Speaking to Ma'an, Besisu confirmed that the Fatah officials had accepted an invitation made by Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh when they met at the Al-Hindi home.

"We hope that Al-Hindi’s death can be the spark for the people to review the state of division, which serves only the enemies of the Palestinians," Besisu said.
Al-Hindi, as you might recall, was one of the planners of the Munich Olympic massacre.

Would 'unity talks' put a damper on the 'direct talks' between Israel and the 'Palestinians'? They ought to since Hamas has never accepted any of the 'international community's conditions for obtaining a place at the table. But with Obama desperate for something - anything - positive before the midterm elections, Abu Bluff just might get a pass on this one.
