Video: Security needs of Israel's Ben Gurion Airport

Here's Vice Admiral Brian Peterman, US Coast Guard (ret.) talking about the security needs of Israel's Ben Gurion Airport.

Let's go to the videotape.

Anyone still want to give the 'Palestinians' control over territory surrounding Ben Gurion Airport?

Carl - what you really mean is should the Palestinians be given control over the mountain heights facing Israel's coastal plain.

That one's a no brainer. Yet people somehow think Israel can defend itself from a strip nine miles wide at its narrow waist.

Go figure.

Excellent explanation and video. Suggestion to IDF: do a split screen with this Adm. in the corner and the rest a 3-d "map" of the airport, the west bank, the water off the coast... all that the Adm. is describing. You could use the same type of graphics that Dore's group used for the security video, which is fantastic. And I would depict the "suburban apartment complexes" on the hills that are preventing line-of-sight firing onto the airport and onto the skinny waistline of Israel.
