Joe Biden defends Israel

Sometimes I wish I could trust the Obama administration on Israel. I really do. But once you get past the headlines, things don't look quite as good and they cannot be trusted. The headline here was "Biden solidifies defense of Israel." But it's misplaced.

Wednesday night, on the Charlie Rose Show, Vice President Biden defended Israel's actions against the flotilla of fools (Hat Tip: Memeorandum).
"I think Israel has an absolute right to deal with its security interest. I put all this back on two things: one, Hamas, and, two, Israel's need to be more generous relative to the Palestinian people who are in trouble in Gaza," Biden said, according to a transcript of the interview, in which he went on to discuss Hamas's control of Gaza:

"[The Israelis have] said, 'Here you go. You're in the Mediterranean. This ship — if you divert slightly north you can unload it and we'll get the stuff into Gaza.' So what's the big deal here? What's the big deal of insisting it go straight to Gaza? Well, it's legitimate for Israel to say, 'I don't know what's on that ship. These guys are dropping eight — 3,000 rockets on my people,'" Biden said.

Biden continued:
Now, the one thing we have to do is not forget the plight of these Palestinians there, not Hamas, the — they're in bad shape. So we have put as much pressure and as much cajoling on Israel as we can to allow them to get building materials in, glass —

ROSE: That's what they're trying to bring in, building materials.

BIDEN: Yes, we know that, but they could have easily brought it in here and we'd get it through.
Biden concluded by calling for an investigation "run by the Israelis."
The Obama administration has been told that if Israel trusts you, they'll do what you want - make all the concessions you want. And besides, it's the only way that the Jooos will donate all that money that the Democrats need for the midterm elections.

But trust is something you have to have in your kishkes and the Obama administration has done nothing to earn it. Support out of political expediency just isn't going to cut it, certainly not from this administration after sixteen months of hell.

I'm in Rome right now by the way - I hope to be back in Israel this afternoon.

That is one of the reasons why Israel has lost faith in the promises of Western governments... they don't back Israel's right to defend itself when it really counts. And that has made Israel risk averse to new concessions for peace.

Please don't take anything Biden or Obama says to the bank. They are lying Leftists who have and will do anything to bring Israel down. Obama has absolutely no moral clarity. He believes the US, Israel, and other free countries are no different than Communist dictatorships and thug Arab monarchies. The reason they allowed loose cannon Biden to say something is because they don't want it coming from Obama's mouth-WHERE IT SHOULD BE COMING FROM! Instead of defending Israel and demanding that judgment not be made before the evidence is reviewed-Obama instructed our US United Nations Diplomat not to even attend the emergency meeting on the flotilla incident! Disgraceful! No one was there to defend the only democracy in the Middle East and the only real friend of the United States!

"But trust is something you have to have in your kishkes."

The obligation of truth lies with the other side. Words come cheap. Promises are only promises.

A promise is like bait at the end of a fishing line.

Deeds are how trust must be earned. Breaking of promises to promote lies is the first flash-point of 'distrust.'

In the realm of politics, only deeds match promises. When they do, we trust.

However when we sit too securely within our political ideologies we often miss the flash-points. Outside you can see it coming from both sides.

Feeling something in our innards is never enough. Our enemies (friendly and otherwise) wish for that, after all. Next thing, we not the fish sit on the end of the line. Once hooked, it is all over. (unless of course we choose to untangle ourselves from 'things' we blindly believe in)

"The Obama administration has been told that if Israel trusts you, they'll do what you want."

Might this be why Bush proclaimed upon leaving Israel after serving in office almost 8 years, "Take good care of Olmert!"

To my disgust this exactly is how games our played in the political arena since time immemorial. Why? We ourselves allow it.

We are the fish who bite the bait!!

The masses of course can refuse to bite but that takes willpower and the end to self imposed blindness caused by self imposed tunnel vision, caused by the belief that starts it all and drives the engine of those who WE ALLOW to deceive us, "my excrement does not stink."

p.s.

What do you think got Begin to shake hands with Sadat?

In the end at the end of 8 years of broken promises, fresh from the bloodiest of all intifada's Israel is told in a proclamation of 8 years of deceit, "Take good care of Olmert." For that because of blind belief we fight for Jerusalem.

I voted for that person not just because of his conservative values but because of his supposed friendship with the country I love and the Jerusalem I worship.

To think through our haughtiness we believe Obama our obvious enemy is the first one to use Jews as bait is why we find ourselves where we are today.

the obama administration still doesnt get that since hamas controls the entire gaza, none of that building material will be used for civilian purposes...just as they hold aid hostage

I pray for the peace of Israel and for her triumph over her enemies.

I am ashamed of the response by our State Department and hope all in Israel understand our plight under this current administration.

Remember: Obama's spiritual advisor for 20 years was rabidly anti-Jew/anti-Israel (pastor wright). Something Mr. Obama either failed to recognize... or more likely, something to which he also subscribes.

Israel is right in what was done and should not yield to those who would tie her hands. Self defense is a God-given right... not subject to the whim of the likes of those in the U.N.

Stay strong.
