Abu Bluff hints at direct talks

hinted on Saturday that he may be willing to enter into direct talks with Israel... maybe... in another four months.... And no, that date is not a coincidence.
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said Saturday that if the proximity talks with Israel via the United States will see progress over the next four months, that "there would be nothing to stop us from progressing to direct negotiations."

The American-brokered proximity are geared towards extracting heavy concessions from the government of Israel that would lead to the surrender of Judea, Samaria and most of Jerusalem to the PA, as well as the forced expulsion of all ethnic Jews from those territories. Abbas's time frame of 4 months is, according to analysts, being used as leverage against Israel resuming building activities in Judea and Samaria in late September following the completion of the 10 ban on Jewish construction.
What could go wrong?

You already know the answer: Nothing will happen. No direct talks (luckily); no changes; lots of finger pointing.

One thing I'm sure of, sadly: The government of Israel will do next to nothing to place blame on the PA. Will they mention naming streets after terrorists? No. Will they make Shalit a line in the sand? No. Will they even mention PA TV with its rampant anti-Antisemitism or PA school books with their rampant anti-Antisemitism? No.

Exactly. Abu Bluff is not saying direct talks will take place at all. And they would be pro forma if Israel has already made all the concessions in the "proximity talks." So what would there be left to negotiate about?

He's not fooling any one about his lack of enthusiasm for peace. Don't look for it to happen in our lifetime.
