Even more good news: Syria and Turkey to conduct joint military exercises
For the second year in a row, Syria and Turkey will conduct joint military exercises for three days starting on Tuesday.A joint Turkish-Syrian military exercise along the border the two countries share is scheduled to commence on Tuesday along similar lines to a drill conducted a year ago. The tightening of Turkish-Syrian relations raises concerns in Israel, primarily due to their political significance and the possibility that such relations could expand to full military cooperation. Such cooperation would likely include the transfer of technology Turkey received from Israel into Syrian hands.Israel finished upgrading 170 tanks for Turkey earlier this month. Turkey is also a NATO member and a member of the consortium of countries building the F-35 joint strike fighter, which means that US technology could also fall into Syrian hands.
What could go wrong?
