For the third time....

For the third time, the Knesset Finance committee has turned down Defense Minister Ehud Barak's request for funding for inspectors to enforce the 'settlement freeze' in Judea and Samaria.
The Knesset's Finance Committee rejected for a third time, the Defense Ministry request for a budget of NIS 18 million for additional freeze inspectors. The request was rejected following a request by MK Uri Ariel of the National Union party.

In light of the repeated defeat of the budget, it was decided to bring the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Major General Eitan Dangot, to try and convince the committee members to support it.
I don't think that's going to convince them to pass it.

Heh.

The only war the IDF seems capable of waging effectively today is a war against its own citizens' peaceful lives. Who knew new homes or porches on existing ones constituted a threat to the peace of the world? Yet that the only funding increase request Barak keeps resubmitting to Knesset despite the fact Israel is surrounded by real enemies. But its easier to go after the Jews because they don't fight back.
