Video: Demonstrations at Shepherd Hotel

Former Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee attended a private reception on Monday night at Jerusalem's Shepherd Hotel, the site of 20 future Jewish apartments opposed by President Obama. Huckabee was the guest of the Ateret Cohanim foundation. Huckabee's visit was the occasion for dueling demonstrations between the Right wing Im Tirtzu (if you wish it - a takeoff on Theodore Herzl's famous "if you wish it, it's not a dream) student organization and the Left wing 'Peace Now' and affiliated movements.

Let's go to the videotape.

Im Tirtzu's motto is: "Zionism is cool." One of its proponents is the other Tzipi, Tzipi Hotovely - the Likud MK. Zionism needs to be restored to a place of pride in Israeli society. Im Tirtzu sees two tasks: nationalism and Judaism. They both define the meaning of Israel. The Left ridicules it as a racist and fascist movement. That's exactly how marginal they are in Israel today. I'll take Israel's Ronen Shovals over its Yariv Oppenheimers any day.
