Republican delegation backs Israel's rights in Jerusalem

It's recess time in Washington and there's a group of 25 Republican members of Congress - led by Virginia's Eric Cantor, the only Jewish Republican in Congress - visiting Israel. Cantor let the Obama administration have it Thursday for their handling of the eviction of Arab squatters from two homes in the Shimon HaTzadik (Sheikh Jarrah) neighborhood earlier this week.
"I don't think we, in America, would want another country telling us how to implement and execute our laws," Cantor said.
Cantor also slammed the administration for its obsession with 'settlements.'
Cantor said that instead of focusing on issues such as Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank, Obama should concentrate on "the primary issue of import ... and that is the existential threat that Iran poses not only to the state of Israel but to the United States."

The congressman said he is "concerned about what the White House has been signaling of late."
Over at HuffPo, they cut and pasted the entire story I quoted from above and entitled it "GOP delegation in Israel contradicts US policy." I guess disagreeing with American policy is no longer an option even for Americans.

sorry carl,

but when clinton was prez, the wingnuts used to regale the masses with the stories of his alledged involvement with anti war activities in foreign countries

why you ask?

because they believed that to disagree with american policy on foreign land was tantamount to treason

and so..these republican congressmen are treasonous swine, who should be executed on their return to the states...even if i agree with their opinions

the president makes foreign policy...and they can argue their case...to his face

to do so while in another country is wrong and evil

Then I suppose that John Kerry, and numerous other democrats who criticized Bush while in Syria, Egypt and other places in the middle east and europe was ok? I don't seem to remember your complaining then. Or does your attitude change when it is a Republican Jew who crticizes the most anti jew president in history.
