France demands freedom for terrorist who plotted to murder Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef
France is demanding that Israel free a 24-year old member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of 'Palestine' who is a French citizen. The terrorist, Salah Hamouri, has been imprisoned since 2005 for attempting to murder Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef, the former chief Rabbi of Israel and the spiritual mentor of the Shas political party.French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner appealed to Israel for clemency for a French-Palestinian who was jailed for his role in plotting the assassination of Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.Holy moral equivalence! The only thing this guy has in common with Gilad Shalit is that they are both French citizens. Gilad Shalit didn't try to kill anybody. He was kidnapped. This guy conspired to murder a prominent Rabbinic leader in his home in the heart of Jerusalem. The two cases could not be more different.
Sarkozy's letter was delivered to the prime minister's bureau in Jerusalem on July 30 by way of the Israeli embassy in Paris just a few days after a similar letter was sent by Kouchner to Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
The unusual request was made after pro-Palestinian groups in France lobbied for the release of the Palestinian, whose imprisonment has been likened there to the captivity of Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit.
A spokesman in Netanyahu's bureau said that the legal aspects of the issue are being examined by the Foreign Ministry's legal advisor and a letter of response to the French is forthcoming.Three words: JUST SAY NO! The French may have surrendered to terrorism, but that doesn't mean that we have to.

Israel should not release a terrorist to please a foreign country. France should be told to mind its own business.
What could go wrong indeed
LOL. I love when the French play tough.
A sh**ty little country called Fwance, telling us what to do?
