Watch the Hamas 'spokesman' get slammed
Those of you who haven't voted in the last 24 hours, please go vote for my blog as the Best Midsize blog in the 2008 Weblog Awards. Voting ends at 10:00 PM GMT Tuesday night (Midnight Israel time, 5:00 PM EST, 2:00 PM PST). Thanks.Hamas' Lebanese spokesman Osama Hamdan was the guest on al-Beeb's Hardtalk on Friday night and came up against Stephen Sackur, a tough interviewer. Hamdan gets his head handed to him on a plate. He even asks Hamdan why they don't give up on 'Palestine from the River to the Sea,' but of course Hamdan doesn't answer that question.
This interview is a bit long, but it's worth watching to understand just how rejectionist Hamas is. It comes in three parts. Here's Part 1.
Here's Part 2.
Here's Part 3.

Of course they're extreme. Moderation doesn't pay in Arab politics. If Hamas ever does moderate, they'll be replaced with an even more radical faction. So to keep their influence as well as their funds and arms from their radical state patrons, they have to be as obdurate as possible. And so it goes...
Wow. If they were talking about any other subject on earth instead of war and genocide--which is the only way to liberate the land from the Jordan to the sea--any other subject--like baseball, it would be classic comedy. This guy has his mind tied in so many logical knots that Lou Costello seems like Bertrand Russell. This isn't about extremism, it's about sanity. The man is completely insane. I'm saying that in clinical terms, he is insane.
