Hamas tried to down IAF plane

At a Sunday briefing, the Israel Air Force announced that Hamas had tried to down an IAF jet using anti-aircraft fire. This is apparently the first use of anti-aircraft fire by Hamas.
The IDF has said that Hamas possesses several shoulder-held ground-to-air missiles, and in air raids overnight Saturday, the IAF hit a Gaza mosque in which a number of them were stored.
Just think, if Hamas ever - God forbid - gets control of Judea and Samaria, they can use those handheld missiles against civilian aircraft taking off and landing at Ben Gurion International Airport.

They've all kinds of weapons. None of this should be a surprise to Israel - but they were "surprised" by Hezbollah in Lebanon back in 2006. This war is more than just about rockets being fired at Israel - much more.

I guess you would prefer that the IDF fire thousands of rockets and bombs at people who do not have the capability of firing back. Gaza is basically a duck shoot. First we cage them up, then we bombard them and get pissed off when they shoot back a little. Duh?!?
