Palestinian Civil War Watch - PA compound attacked as factions meet on referendum
Both the Jerusalem Post and HaAretz are reporting a rocket propelled grenade attack - presumably by Hamas - on the headquarters of the 'Preventive Security Service' in the Gaza Strip. The Preventive Security Service is loyal to Abu Mazen. Security personnel fired at the attackers, but the assailants escaped. Three 'maintenance workers' were wounded in the attack. Fatah has blamed Hamas for the attack and Hamas has thus far not commented. The attack came while Abu Mazen was meeting in Samaria with members of all factions other than Hamas and Islamic Jihad regarding his 'referendum.'
