Oh my... Somali bomber was meant to be on Turkish Air flight
A Somali suicide bomber who was sucked out a hole in a Daallo Airlines flight from Mogadishu to Dijbouti last Tuesday was actually
meant to be on a Turkish Air flight to Turkey along with 73 other passengers.
The 74 passengers aboard the flight were originally checked in with
Turkish Airlines, which flies to Somalia three times per week, Mohamed
Ibrahim Yasin Olad, Daallo Airlines chief told Al Jazeera on Sunday.
"They were not our passengers. Turkish Airlines cancelled its flight
from Mogadishu that morning because their incoming flight from Djibouti
could not come to Mogadishu because of what they said was strong
wind," Olad said.
"They requested we carry the passengers on their behalf to Djibouti
where they would continue their journey on a Turkish Airlines flight,"
Olad added.
And the Turks? They're trying to disown the whole story.
"Turkish Airlines have not been in contact with us since the incident
happened. You can say they are trying to distance themselves from the
incident." Olad said.
Turkish Airlines suspended its flights to Somalia on Tuesday.
Al Jazeera contacted Turkish Airlines for comment but so far did not get a response.
Hmmm.

Kenyan jihadis include 5 Americans, a Canadian and a Brit
As I'm sure most of you have already heard, a group of some 15 jihadis invaded the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday, rounded up as many people as they could, released the Muslims and started murdering everyone else. At least count, 59 people had been murdered, 175 wounded, and the jihadis were
still holding some 30 hostages.
Where is the media coverage? This is Obama's
native land -- where is his condemnation of the vicious sharia? His
silence is sanction and support.
Of course, the problem is those of us who speak against this
savagery. Not the savages. Have Muslim groups held an emergency press
conference to denounce jihad and the Islamic texts and teachings that
command these monstrous mass slaughters?

Gunmen who opened fire at a shopping centre killing at least 25 and
injuring dozens more today let muslims go free if they could prove they
were Islamic.
Witnesses caught up in the attack at Westlands Shopping Centre, in the
Kenyan capital Nairobi, said anyone who could recite a muslim prayer to
their captors was allowed to leave unscathed.
But the attackers turned their guns on anyone who could not prove their Islamic credentials.
Sir Simon Fraser, the Foreign Office's chief civil servant and head of
the Diplomatic Service, said on Twitter that Britons had been caught up
in the incident.
He posted: '@foreignoffice (The Foreign Office) and @UKinKenya (British
High Commission) working hard on Nairobi shooting and hostage crisis to
help all involved esp Brits.'
Sky News is reporting that the US State Department has confirmed US citizens are among the casualties.
But US citizens (and Brits) aren't just among the casualties. They're also among the terrorists.

Meanwhile,
Israel has gotten involved in the rescue efforts.
"The Israelis have just entered and they are rescuing the hostages and the injured," AFP quoted a security source as saying.
The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the veracity of the report.
Reuters
quoted an Israeli security source as saying Israeli advisers were
helping Kenya with "negotiating strategy" to help end the siege.
"There are Israeli advisers helping with the negotiating
strategy, but no Israelis involved in any imminent storming
operation," said the source, who gave no further details and
asked not to be identified.
The source said only a "handful" of
Israelis, "purely in an advisory role", were on scene at the upscale
Westgate shopping center, which has several Israeli-owned outlets and is
frequented by expatriates and Kenyans.
An Israeli source in
Nairobi said all Israelis who were in the mall at the time of the attack
had made it out safely, with the last three rescued overnight.
There were conflicting reports from other security sources in Nairobi about the part Israel was playing.
One
Kenyan security source, who asked not to be identified, told Reuters
that the Israeli military was involved in the operation, while a private
security official also said they were helping comb the mall.
But Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku insisted it was a national operation, despite offers of foreign support.

10 camels for Obama, 10 chickens and 10 roosters for Hillary
Someone at al-Qaeda in Somalia has
a sense of humor.
Fuad Muhammad Khalaf of the Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement in Somalia made the offer after Friday prayers, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors militant organizations.
"Whoever reveals the hideout of the idiot Obama will be rewarded with 10 camels, and whoever reveals the hideout of the old woman Hillary Clinton will be rewarded 10 chickens and 10 roosters," he said, according to SITE.
On Thursday, the US State Department offered a reward of $5 million each for the whereabouts of Khalaf and three associates, as well as $7 million for information about al Shabaab founder and commander Ahmed Abdi aw-Mohamed. A bounty of $3 million was offered for the location of two other officials of the organization.
Al Qaeda said in February the al Shabaab group, which was branded a terrorist organization by the US government in 2008, had joined its ranks.
Isn't it great that terrorists feel that they can get away with mocking the President of the United States? Can you imagine a terrorist organization mocking Ronald Reagan? What could go wrong?

Overwhelmed Gazans exporting aid
Gazans are so overwhelmed with the world's sympathy for their 'plight' that they have started to
export aid to Somalia.
Imams in mosques in the Gaza strip mentioned Somalia during Friday prayers last week and asked Gazans to donate to their brothers there.
Moreover, the Arab Doctors Union Gaza branch ran a campaign asking the people of Gaza to donate to people of Somalia.
The campaign, called "From Gaza hand in hand to save the children of Somalia", will last throughout Ramadan.
The Union took out advertisements supporting the campaign in local radios and websites to encourage people to contribute to the campaign. It is planning advertisements on local television also.
Various people responded to the campaign, but most donations came from the local non-governmental organisations and some wealthy businessmen, according to the organizers of the campaign.
One of the donors, Mohammed Abd Al Latif said, "I saw the pictures of our brothers in Somalia and felt so sorry for them; I wanted to do anything to help."
"The campaign aimed at demonstrating the extent of physical cohesion between the besieged Gaza and Somalia, showing that the Palestinian people are capable of supporting and standing by the Somali people," said Ahmad Hathat, the public relations officer of the Union.
The charity campaign underscores the fact that Gaza is swimming in surplus aid from an international community willing to underwrite the national aspirations of Fatah and Hamas to the extent that their enclaves have become transit points, rather than a destination, for aid.
Every poor country should want to have a border with Israel. If you have a border with Israel, all you have to do is to say you want to destroy Israel, and then you get a limitless supply of international aid.
What could go wrong?
