Obama on San Bernadino: “This is just as much an Israel problem as it is a gun problem! Nobody wants to say it, but it’s true!”
President Hussein Obama didn't want to give that prime time address from the oval office on Sunday night. Valerie Jarrett made him do it. And he has as much visceral hate for the Jewish state of Israel as did terrorist Syed Farook, who was said to be "negatively obsessed with Israel."
[W]hen the L.A. FBI office went public with calling San Bernardino a
terrorist attack, both Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett went into
“warpath mode.”
Jarrett’s displeasure was apparently first to make itself known. She
was outraged the FBI had done so without first getting prior approval
from her. Jarrett was said to be particularly concerned with the
proximity of the FBI’s terror designation and the president’s quick
words on calling for more gun control measures soon after the actual San
Bernardino terror attack.

The focus of the White House’s ire soon became FBI Director, James Comey.

At one point, the president is said to have flung several papers onto
the floor of the Oval Office as he sat behind his desk stewing over
Director’s Comey’s now-infamous terrorist attack remarks.
“This was supposed to be a gun issue for us, not some anti-Islamic bullsh*t!”
Jarrett then dispatched an order for Director Comey to meet in person
with the President. It was at that meeting the already existing
fracture between Comey and the White House on such issues as the Black
Lives Matter/anti-law enforcement movement, which Director Comey already
spoke out against, was said to have worsened considerably following the
San Bernardino attacks. Comey is alleged to have refused to fully
capitulate with the White House’s demands he lessen the “terrorist
attack” rhetoric.
When Director Comey went ahead with a planned press conference on the
issue, Jarrett sent Attorney General Loretta Lynch there to oversee the
Director’s statements on the San Bernardino attack. Included in that
press conference was a moment the Mainstream Media then attempted to
hide as Jarrett operatives terminated the Director’s public comments
when he moved away from his Jarrett-approved script via an attempt to
open the press conference to questions from the media.

Ultimately it was Valerie Jarrett who apparently informed the
President he would be giving a primetime address on Sunday evening. This
decision was based almost exclusively on fears the White House was
quickly losing control of the narrative, and was in fact suggested by a
handful of trusted Mainstream Media figures devoted to the Obama White
House’s well-being.
A small battle was waged by several White House advisers and
consultants regarding both the tone and content of the President’s
Sunday evening commentary. In the end, as usual, Jarrett’s opinion is
said to have won out. There would be brief mention of terrorism, ISIL,
and the President’s ongoing efforts to keep Americans safe. Then the
speech would focus almost entirely on the need for gun control and a
caution to Americans not to engage in anti-Muslim rhetoric or action. (a
warning that had been outlined earlier by Attorney General Lynch who
called anti-Muslim sentiment her “greatest fear”)
Mr. Obama was willing to swallow the bitter pill of admitting a
terrorist attack had taken place inside of the United States, but only
after Valerie Jarret had the call for gun control and pro-Islamic
rhetoric be made the more dominant part of the relatively brief
primetime address.
During the intense back and forth among speech writers and Jarrett,
was a moment where Barack Obama is said to have pointed defiantly at
Jarrett and declared, “This is just as much an Israel problem as it is a gun problem! Nobody wants to say it, but it’s true!”
Obama made the Israel comment before the interview with Farook's father - in which he said that his son was negatively obsessed with Israel - was published in the Italian newspaper La Stampa. Obama apparently knew about it already.
Obama too is negatively obsessed with Israel. Anyone who does not believe that Obama is a Jew hater is fooling himself.

It goes almost without saying: The father of San Bernadino terrorist Syed Farook has told the Italian newspaper La Stampa that his son was 'negatively obsessed' with Israel.
In an interview with Italian daily La Stampa,
Farook said that he once tried to console his son by promising him that
Israel would not exist in another two years because “China, Russia and
America will bring the Jews back to Ukraine.”
In Sunday’s La Stampa (link in Italian)
report, Farook said, “My son said that he shared [IS leader Abu Bakr]
Al Baghdadi’s ideology and supported the creation of the Islamic State.
He was also obsessed with Israel.”
“I told him he had to stay calm and be patient
because in two years Israel will not exist any more. Geopolitics is
changing: Russia, China and America don’t want Jews there any more. They
are going to bring the Jews back to Ukraine. What is the point of
fighting? We have already done it and we lost. Israel is not to be
fought with weapons, but with politics. But he did not listen to me, he
was obsessed,” Farook explained to US correspondent Paolo Mastrolilli.
Farook’s son is suspected of carrying out a
mass shooting that killed 14 people in San Bernardino. The father was
interviewed in Corona, California, where he lives with his older son,
Syed Raheel Farook, a US Navy veteran.
Farook senior was born in Pakistan and arrived
in the US in 1973. The family has been described by many as very
integrated in American society, almost the embodiment of the American dream.
Farook told La Stampa how, once in the US, he
got a degree in engineering and started to work hard to guarantee his
children “an education and the opportunity to succeed in life.”
Other reports told a more nuanced story:
Farook split from his wife Rafia, also Pakistan-born, who filed for
divorce in 2006 and, according to The New York Times, said her husband was violent and an alcoholic and beat her and the children.
In the La Stampa interview, Farook denied the
accusations, saying that “Rizwan’s mother is very religious, as he was,
and they united against me. Once we had a dispute over the historical
figure of Jesus. My son called me a godless person and he decided that
my marriage with my wife had to end,” he recalled. “They destroyed the
family.”
What nice people. Why were they ever admitted to the US in the first place? Because in 1973, no one suspected anything.
But isn't it amazing how Muslim terrorists are also always obsessed with Israel? It starts with the Jews but it never ends with the Jews. Think about it: This 'lovely' couple abandoned their 6-month old child, and then went out and murdered 14 people that they knew. Does anyone really believe that this is about the 'Palestinians'?
Malaysian wants to come to Israel to defend Adele Biton's murderers
Many of you may not have seen the picture above. It is the car in which Adele Biton HY"D (May God Avenge her blood), aged 3 at the time, sustained the injuries from which she ultimately died. Perhaps you remember Adele:
The terrorists are being tried in an Israeli military court - they were 16-years old at the time of the incident and that's an age at which in many countries violent criminals are charged as adults. What they were throwing were not the small rocks that come to mind when you say 'stones.' They were cinderblocks. These 'youths' clearly deserve to have the full weight of the law thrown at them if they are guilty.
You might recall that the 'Palestinians' are running a campaign to free the terrorists, referring to the incident as the 'Wadi'a Maswadah Hoax.' Now, that campaign has spread to Malaysia, the world's largest Muslim country, which is hostile enough to Israel that its citizens may not use their Malaysian passports to visit Israel (Hat Tip: Slim S).
Currently, the IWPS* team accompanies the trial and legal proceedings of
five Palestinian boys from Hares, who are being tried before an Israeli
military court for charges of attempted murder for throwing stones.

The narrative began on Thursday March 14, 2013, when a car crashed at
around 6.30pm into the back of a truck on Road 5 in Salfit, injuring the
driver and her three daughters.
The driver claimed that the accident was due to Palestinian youths
throwing stones at her car. Aside from the two drivers and the three
daughters, there were no other witnesses to the car accident nor had
anybody witnessed children or youth throwing stones on that day.
By very early morning of Friday, masked Israeli soldiers with attack
dogs had stormed the village of Hares and arrested ten boys, blindfolded
and handcuffed.
In the next few days to the following week, several more adolescents
were arrested, totalling 19 from the villages of Hares and Kife Hares
(neighbouring villages) arrested in relation to the settler car
accident, none of them with a previous history of stone-throwing.
After several violent interrogations, most were released except for
five Hares boys – aged between 16 and 17 – who remain until today in
Megiddo, an Israeli adult prison.
They are charged with 20 counts of attempted murder (one count per
every alleged stone thrown at passing cars), a charge that carries a
maximum punishment of twenty years to life imprisonment.

Reading the invitation to join the IWPS team, to have the privilege to
accompany the process and to independently witness the case and judge
for myself how the system of justice is applied in Israel and occupied
Palestine, all these thoughts came to mind.
I do not know if I could accept the invitation (to enter the area would
mean first crossing into the Israeli border – a place into which the
Malaysian passport officially prohibits entry). But at the very least,
for now, I have the power of sharing their narrative. – November 3,

This is how the international Left operates. Note that there is no mention of the fact that Baby Adele (who is in any event nameless in the post) died. If Israel were randomly arresting 'Palestinians' who had no connection to the incident, why were most of them released? The woman accuses the IDF of gathering witnesses through 'wide publicity.' But Highway 5 is a major highway that runs to the coast, and there must have been witnesses who saw what happened, and who would testify without anyone 'gathering' them. On what basis does this woman who has never even seen Israel accuse the IDF of fabricating witnesses?
'Surely you got lost and meant to help the Syrians being butchered'
Prime Minister Netanyahu has penned a very tongue-in-cheek letter to be delivered to the fools who are on their way to Gaza as part of the 'flotilla.'
The Prime Minister’s Office penned a letter to be given to the some 50
people on the boats expected to be towed into Ashdod, sarcastically
welcoming them to Israel and saying that they apparently got lost.
“Perhaps you meant to set sail for a place not far from here – Syria,” the letter reads.
“There the Assad regime is slaughtering its own people every day with the support of the murderous regime in Iran.”
By contrast, the letter reads, Israel is dealing with a reality whereby
terrorist organizations like Hamas try to attack innocent civilians.
“Against these efforts we are defending Israeli citizens in accordance to international law,” according to the letter.
The
letter spelled out the number of trucks, and tons of aid and material
that go into Gaza each day, saying it adds up to about 500,000 times
the number of boats in the flotilla. At the same time, he said, Israel
is not willing to allow the smuggling of arms to the Gaza Strip via the
sea, which has been done repeatedly in the past.
No, they're not lost. This is not about humanitarian aid. It's about Jew hatred, pure and simple.

If you read the comments this morning, you would have seen that someone has taken me to task for having the gall to tell people not to cry too much over Kayla Mueller. I'm sure there will be people who will criticize this post as well.
Deah Barakat was one of three Muslims who was killed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Wednesday morning in what may have been an argument over a parking space and not a hate crime as has been alleged. It turns out that Mr. Barakat was a profuse user of Twitter, tweeting more than 8,000 times. Here are some samples:

The four men who were murdered last Tuesday were all apolitical. None of them came here to 'occupy' anything. They came here because Jews are commanded by God to live in the land of Israel.
And you still think the 'Palestinians' are interested in peace?
This comment ought to be read and re-read, because for once someone writing in a publication associated with the Left actually seems to get it.
The citizenship and piety of the victims is largely immaterial—this
was simply brutal, ideological murder. But the choice of victims does
tell us something about where these murders come from, and what they
mean politically.
In recent weeks, the usual hum of low-grade
Palestinian incitement has been raised to a fever pitch. There have been
allegations of murder and paranoid rumors of Israeli plans to dismantle
Muslim sanctuaries. Lone-wolf terrorists have rammed their cars into
crowds and stabbed young commuters at bus stops. The Israeli security
forces, expert in disrupting networks and intercepting infiltrations,
have found themselves helpless to stop it. How do you predict an attack
by a single local resident armed only with a car and a kitchen knife?
There
is irony in the latest attack. The synagogue was in Har Nof, an
ultra-Orthodox neighborhood in West Jerusalem. The worshippers lived in
internationally recognized Israel and almost certainly never served in
the army. They would never approach the Temple Mount, the holy site
where recent visits by Jews have supposedly triggered the latest wave of
Palestinian violence, because they believe that God’s law forbids it.
In other words, these worshippers should be among the least offensive to
Palestinians.
This is not to say that, for instance, last week’s murder
of 26-year-old Dalia Lemkus was less obscene because it happened near a
West Bank settlement. But the senselessness and brutality of the
synagogue assault, and the otherworldliness of the victims, lays bare
the inadequacy of rational political explanations for terror. No doubt
the murderers had their grievances (and some perhaps were reasonable),
but the butchery in Har Nof shows that any sense of strategy has been
overwhelmed by hate. The murder of non-Zionist Torah scholars is an
attack on Jews more than Israel, and explaining it requires an
understanding of hatred, not of politics. Perhaps the current celebrations throughout the West Bank and Gaza—replete with songs of praise on mosque loudspeakers and the festival-like delivery of sweets to children—goes at least part of the way to providing that.
Rarely has it been clearer: these men were killed simply because they
were Jews living in the land of Israel. That they were rabbis killed at
prayer is a potent symbol of the attack's senselessess, but their
orthodoxy also serves as evidence of how utterly self-defeating
Palestinian terrorism is.
An American Jew who converted to Islam while living in Israel has been convicted in the United States of criminal incitement and sentenced to 2.5 years in jail for inciting violence against Jews.
Born Joseph Leonard
Cohen, Yousef al-Khattab, 45 from New Jersey, converted from Judaism to
Islam in his late 20s, when he was living in the Middle East. Upon his
return to the US in 2007, he started the Revolution Muslim website.
In a post from 2009,
Khattab posted a photo of the Chabad headquarters in Brooklyn with a
link to map, noting the main temple was always full during prayer time,
the Washington Post reported.
Khattab admitted posting articles encouraging readers to take
unspecified action against Jewish leaders and publishing names and
addresses of Jewish leaders and synagogues.
Posting a video on YouTube in 2009 of violence in the Gaza
Strip, Khattab encouraged Muslims angered by the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict to "deal with them directly at their homes."

Renouncing the articles
in court, he asked the judge to hold him responsible only "for what I
say, not how people understood it," the Post reported.
In an interview with NPR, Khattab admitted that his actions were "stupid" and "wrong."
"They interpreted me giving the message of Islam as being a
threat to the Jewish community, which it wasn't," Khattab told NPR, but
could not explain how providing addresses and pictures of Jewish leaders
after an anti-Semitic post could be misinterpreted.
Khattab claimed in court that he was a "clown" and "the Gilbert
Gottfried of the Muslims," saying he did not intend to incite violence,
according to the Post. He also noted he would not make the same posts
today.
Obama appoints Hamas supporter who called Israelis Nazis to commission on religious freedom
President Obama has appointed James Zogby to his commission on religious freedom. Zogby is a certified Jew-hater (Hat Tip: Jack W).
James Zogby called Hezbollah
“the Lebanese armed resistance”, defended Hamas supporters and urging
understanding Hamas. He was less understanding toward Jews calling
Israelis “Nazis” and accusing Israel of perpetrating a Holocaust against
the PLO.
A vehement opponent of freedom of speech, Zogby took the Islamist
side of the Mohammed cartoon controversy, writing, “To declare, as some
have, that such freedom is absolute is, of course, nonsense since every
culture, by definition, has its taboos. The measure of a civilization is
not the freedom it provides to defile taboos, but how respectful and
sensitive it is to the taboos of diverse cultures, especially those
within its midst.”
Zogby then implied that cartoons that offend Muslims should be banned.
Of course, Zogby isn't the only certified Jew-hater among President Obama's recent appointments.
Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee piles on against George Zimmerman
The Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee has sent an email to supporters announcing that they are partnering with the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) to demand that the United States Justice Department prosecute George Zimmerman for violating the civil rights of Trayvon Martin.
The email opens with these words:
By now, you have probably heard that a Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin.
When a teenager's life is taken in cold blood and there is no
accountability for the man who killed him, nothing seems right in the
world. But we cannot lose hope. We can still achieve justice for
Trayvon!
Maybe the ADC believed the claim that Zimmerman is a Jew. After all, the ADC honored former White House reporter Helen Thomas after she had been completely exposed as an anti-Semite.

The New York Times should read its own editorial page
Incredibly, the New York Times published an op-ed on Friday by Ayaan Hirsi Ali that should be read by the likes of Tom Friedman, Nick Kristof and Roger Cohen, as well as by the Times editorial board, before the next time they sit down to write about Israel. For that matter, it should be read by the Obama administration as well, because if they read it, they might finally understand why their 'peace process' between Israel and the 'Palestinians' is failing.
Hirsi Ali, who grew up a Muslim in Egypt, had this to say about why there is no peace.
Here is an opportunity to acknowledge the breadth and depth of the
attitude toward Jews in the Middle East, and how that affects the much
desired but elusive peace process between Israel and the Palestinians.
So many explanations have been offered for the failure of successive
U.S. administrations to achieve that peace, but the answer is in Morsi’s
words. Why would one make peace with bloodsuckers and descendants of
apes and monkeys?
Millions of Muslims have been conditioned to regard Jews not only as the
enemies of Palestine but as the enemies of all Muslims, of God and of
all humanity. Arab leaders far more prominent and influential than Morsi
have been tireless in “educating” or “nursing” generations to believe
that Jews are “the scum of the human race, the rats of the world, the
violators of pacts and agreements, the murderers of the prophets, and
the offspring of apes and pigs.” (These are the words of the Saudi sheik
Abdul Rahman al-Sudais, imam at the Masjid al-Haram mosque in Mecca.)
In 2011, a Pew survey found that in Turkey, just 4 percent of those
surveyed held a “very favorable” or “somewhat favorable” view of Jews;
in Indonesia, 10 percent; in Pakistan 2 percent. In addition, 95 percent
of Jordanians, 94 percent of Egyptians and 95 percent of Lebanese hold a
“very unfavorable” view of Jews [pdf].
In recent decades Israeli and American administrations negotiated with
unelected Arab despots, who played a double game. They honored the
formal peace treaties by not conducting military attacks against Israel.
But they condoned the Islamists’ dissemination of hatred against
Israel, Zionism and Jews.
As the Islamists spread their influence through civil institutions, young people were nursed on hatred.
In the wake of the Arab Spring, as the people take a chance on
democracy, they and their new leadership want to see their ideals turned
into policy.
For too many of those who fought for their own liberation, one of those ideals is the end of peace with Israel.
It would take several generations to undo this sort of pathological hatred. But no one has started - or even suggested to the Muslim world - that it be undone. I would not hold my breath waiting for that to happen - certainly not so long as the West continues to pursue policies of bowing to Islam.
Yes, those are 'Palestinians' in the picture above, and they are dancing with exactly what you thought.... The picture was taken at the Ramallah lynch. And it's just one of many instances - including this past week - in which 'Palestinians' have danced with joy at the prospect of destroying Israel, God forbid.
Khaled Abu Toameh writes that one must wonder whether in light of this attitude, the 'Palestinians' would ever accept a compromise with Israel. The answer to that question is obvious to everyone except for the Israeli Left and the 'international community' (particularly the Obama administration).
During the 2006 war in Lebanon, Palestinians and some Arab citizens
of Israel took to rooftops to cheer Hizbullah's rocket attacks on
northern cities in Israel.
During the second intifada, many Palestinians, particularly in the
Gaza Strip, used to take to the streets to sing and dance and hand out
candies after hearing about another suicide bombing inside Israel.
And when Saddam Hussein fired rockets at Israel in the early 1990's,
Palestinians also took to the streets and rooftops, chanting, "O beloved
Saddam, strike strike at Tel Aviv!"
Last week, by the way, many Palestinians in Ramallah, Nablus and
Hebron were chanting: "O beloved Qassam [Hamas's armed wing], destroy,
destroy Tel Aviv!" and "The people want the destruction of Israel!"
No one is expecting the Palestinians to express solidarity or sympathy with Israel in its confrontation with Hamas.
But when many Palestinians express their joy in public over the
firing of rockets and missiles at Israeli cities, one is entitled to
wonder whether there is a majority of Palestinians who would ever agree
to any form of compromise with Israel.
In today's world of the Palestinians, anyone who talks about peace
with Israel is a traitor and a collaborator; but anyone who calls for
the destruction of Israel and fires rockets at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem is
a hero.
Those who believe that the 'Palestinians' have warmer feelings to the US than to Israel should be reminded of this:
The biggest mistake of the so-called 'peace process' was the failure to react when the 'Palestinians' continued to incite their 'people' against Israel, Jews and the West. The failure to react has just created another monster like every other Islamist state and terror group in the region. It is a monster than is now impossible to tame short of wiping it out (or as Steven Plaut would say, de-Nazifying it).
Olympic official admits Muslims blocked 'moment of silence'
An Olympics official has allegedly admitted that Muslim countries blocked a 'moment of silence' for 11 Israeli Olympic athletes who were murdered by 'Palestinian' terrorists at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
Ankie Spitzer, whose husband Andre was one of the athletes massacred in the Munich Games n 1972, told the European Jewish Press that Jacques Rogge, president of the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games, told her that his “hands were tied” by the admission of 46 Arab and Muslim members to the International Olympic Committee.
She replied, “My husband’s hands were tied, not yours.”
Why are we exhorted to initiate dialogue with Muslims, while there’s never talk of the Islamic Jew-hatred that has motivated 1,400 years of Muslim persecution of the Jews?
The root cause of the ongoing war against Israel is Islamic Jew-hatred: Quranic chapter and verse served up as a daily diet in the “Palestinian” media. The same Islamic Jew-hatred that fueled the alliance between Hitler and the leader of the Muslim world, the Mufti of Jerusalem. “Making friends” won’t eradicate that hate.
Where is Kaplan’s discussion of the 1,000,000 Jews who were expelled from Muslim lands in 1948, when Israel was established? We hear much about how Muslims were supposedly expelled from Israel, but they were told to leave by their leaders, who said they could come back after Israel was destroyed. How is that the Jews’ fault?
How does it make Spencer and me haters if we discuss the root causes of the enmity that many Muslims feel for Jews?
Read it all - she's spot-on. And she even got away with putting 'Palestinians' in quotes every time she used the word. Heh.
'Peace partner's state television promises to 'retake Jerusalem'
Our 'peace partner's state television last month broadcast a sermon by an imam that promised to 'retake Jerusalem.' But this time, it wasn't the 'Palestinian Authority.' It was Jordan, a country with which we are allegedly at 'peace.'
Article 11 of the 1994 Israel-Jordan peace treaty calls on both countries “to abstain from hostile or discriminatory propaganda against each other, and to take all possible legal and administrative measures to prevent the dissemination of such propaganda by any organization or individual present in the territory of either party.”
Requests to the Jordanian Embassy in Israel for comment went unanswered Sunday.
Why would anyone be silly enough to expect Arab Muslims to abide by treaties when it no longer suits them? Oops - we did that, didn't we? What could go wrong?
Hitler's Mufti, Abbas' Mufti, Harvard and the New York Times
Charles Jacobs refutes 'Palestinian' Mufti Muhammad Hussein's claim that he didn't mean to encourage killing all the Jews. This is from the first link.
The Palestinians' spin control offers as many lessons as the murder decree. The mufti denied he was inciting violence, claiming his words were taken out of context. He told the Associated Press that he was only "speaking about the final signs of the day of resurrection. ... I did not incite, and I did not call for killing. We are not, at present, at the end of days." (Which is when, presumably, the order to kill the Jews would be religiously more appropriate.)
He tried to lay the blame at the feet of the holy Islamic text itself. "The Hadith says [it]. I am not responsible for the Hadith. The Hadith is in the book. The Hadith is a noble Hadith," he said. "It's not my Hadith."
The PA's Minister of Religious Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Habbash, agreed. "This is not incitement to kill Jews. We cannot change the historical religious writings, and we don't want to change them. However, we are talking now about the reality. The reality is that we want to achieve a just peace." So why, one could ask, bring up - at a rally to mark the birth of an Arab armed resistance group - this holy injunction to kill the Jews?

Hussein began with a discussion of the 47 years of the Palestinian revolution and then recited the Hadith - to explain the path the Palestinians were taking. He ended this homily by saying that the Israelis are planting those Jew-loving Gharqad trees around their settlements - "suggesting that Israel is preparing for when the Muslims fulfill their Hadith and come to kill them," according to PMW founder Itamar Marcus. Clearly, the mufti was explicitly relating the Hadith about the killing of Jews to the present.
Moreover, the mufti - who proclaims now to seek peace - did not see fit to condemn the moderator of the event, whose introductory remarks described the Jews as "the descendants of the apes and pigs" and called for a religious war against them.
Abbas appointed Hussein in 2006, noting his "ability to avoid controversies." Soon after becoming mufti, he defended killing Jews: "It is the Palestinian people's right to engage in resistance until the occupation ends. As long as the resistance is legitimate, everything related to it is also legitimate." Suicide bombing "is legitimate, of course, as long as it plays a role in the resistance," Hussein preached.
In 2010, PMW released a video showing Hussein using standard Islamic anti-Jewish memes: Jews are the "enemies of Allah"; they want to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque; they "have violated all faith and religious laws, and even deviated from their humanity."
Jacobs also adds this tidbit about how the 'intellectuals' at Harvard reacted to being confronted with 'Palestinian' incitement.
Even liberals would find it hard to keep their peace hopes intact after watching a Marcus multimedia presentation. And that's part of the problem: I brought Marcus to Harvard several years back. After watching an hour of children being instructed to kill Jews, teens yearning to blow themselves up for Allah, mourning mothers expressing pride at having raised murderers, the auditorium was sullen. I'd personally invited a Boston Globe editor; afterward, he told me the presentation was "unhelpful," that it would make people demand less of Israel. He expressed no outrage at the indoctrination of children to racist hate and murder. He expressed no concern for poisoning of Palestinian children's minds and souls. For him, to expose this ugliness was only to attack the "peace process." The New York Times, the Globe's parent, treated this current episode of Islamic Jew-hatred in the same manner: In a Jan 24 column, Isabel Kershner worried more about how Israel's investigation of the sheik's incitement would affect the "peace process" than about the Sheik citing Mohammed's call to destroy Jews as a description of just what the Palestinians were up to. Nothing new here: for years the Times has shamefully covered up Palestinian anti-Semitism, likely because reporting it would be "unhelpful" to "peace."
I guess Harvard hasn't changed much since the days when Joe Kennedy (the father of John, Bobby and Ted, and a notorious anti-Semite) ruled the campus and they had a quota on the number of Jews who could be admitted. And the Times hasn't changed much since Stephen Wise and the Sulzberger's pretended the Holocaust wasn't happening.
