Fatah Central Committee Deputy Secretary Jibril Rajoub recently lauded
the Palestinian attackers, saying: "These are individual acts of
heroism, of which I am proud." In the interview, which aired on the
official TV channel of the Palestinian Authority on October 17, 2015,
Rajoub further said: "We refuse to pay the bill for the Holocaust. What
is being done to us is exactly the same as what was done to the Jews in
Europe."
Let's go to the videotape.
For those with long memories, maybe now you understand the fury over President Obama's connecting Israel's existence to the Holocaust during his first year in office.
The Shejaia club from the Gaza Strip must pass through an Israeli border
crossing to reach the West Bank city of Hebron, where Sunday's game was
scheduled to be played, and to do so needs approval from Israel.
"It
became clear seven people, including four players were not on the list
and therefore, the entire mission can't leave Gaza without them," said
Ala Shammaly of the Shejaia media office.
Israel said the four
players needed to undergo special questioning, which was to have taken
place on Thursday, but the Palestinians did not show.
It offered
to let the rest of the team cross on Friday, the start of the weekend in
Israel, with the four to meet them on Sunday when it would again be
possible to conduct the questioning.
The Palestinian federation said the game was delayed until further notice.
In a series of tweets, COGAT, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, tells a far different story.
(1/6)Provocation by Jibril Rajoub:
Following the Palestinians request, we coordinate the crossing of 37 players from #Gaza to Judea&Samaria
In case you need to be reminded why 'Palestinian' soccer players might need to pass 'preliminary inquiries' before being allowed to move through Israel and into the 'West Bank,' herearesome reminders.
I'm going to guess that many of my US readers never heard of FIFA, the international soccer federation several of whose officials were indicted on bribery charges in the US earlier this week. Here in Israel, we are alltoofamiliar with them.
'Palestinian' terrorist and soccer federation chairman Jibril Rajoub is seeking to have Israel expelled from FIFA, which would bar the world's only Jewish state from international soccer competitions like the World Cup. As you can see from the tweet above, the Israeli government believes it's on the verge of a 'compromise' (can't wait to hear what that would entail) that would avert the expulsion.
But not everyone believes that a compromise is in the offing.
Per @peterbeaumont, Pal officials deny they've reached a deal to avert vote on suspension of Israel from #Fifa
Former FIFA vice president Jack Warner, arrested in Trinidad and Tobago
on Wednesday on bribery charges as part of a massive bust of top soccer
officials, previously blamed “Zionism” for a bribery scandal which saw
him forced from the world soccer body in 2011.
Warner surrendered to authorities late
Wednesday in his native Trinidad and Tobago after his name appeared on a
list of nine current or former FIFA officials and five business
executives who “abused their positions of trust to acquire millions of
dollars in bribes and kickbacks,” according to US Attorney General
Loretta Lynch.
Warner resigned from FIFA in 2011 after the
organization opened an ethics investigation into the vice president for
receiving cash “gifts” from former Asian Football Confederation chief
Mohammed Bin Hammam, ahead of the organization’s elections for
president.
After FIFA handed Qatar’s Bin Hammam a
lifetime ban from the soccer governing body for his role in the affair,
Warner lashed out at the soccer body for what he said were various
shortcomings, and vowed to bring down FIFA head Sepp Blatter.
“I will talk about the racism that is within
FIFA. I will talk about the levels of religious discrimination which I
sought to correct. I will talk about the Zionism, which probably is the
most important reason why this acrid attack on Bin Hammam and me was
mounted,” Warner wrote at the time in a 1,400 word letter to the
Trinidad Guardian.
And if you followed the links above, you already know that Blatter isn't exactly fair to Israel either.
Meanwhile, FIFA and the media continue to ignore the real story to which they ought to be paying attention: The 'Palestinian Authority's use of sports to promote terrorism rather than peace.
And the saga continues:
Israel Radio reports that many #FIFA delegation heads say no vote, and if vote, won't pass. Stay tuned.
B'Tslem admits its primary researcher in Judea and Samaria is a Holocaust denier
A month ago, I reported that Atef Abu-Alrub, 'human rights group' B'Tselem's chief source in Judea and Samaria, is a Holocaust denier.
At first, B'Tselem claimed that Abu-Alrub's remarks were 'lies' and were 'taken out of context,' but now they're changing their tune.
[O]n Sunday, a Facebook post by the group pledged to "seriously examine the issue."
"After an [initial] investigation conducted with the researcher, and
in a letter sent to our employees, we established that Mr. Abu feels
'unequivocally that the Holocaust is a 'crime,' was a 'threat against
the Jewish people,' and that Channel 2 translated the words of another speaker who was present," the organization began.
"[However,] a few days ago a video was posted of the full
conversation. Indeed, most of the conversation that was filmed is
translation of a third person [present at the interview]," it continued.
"But, upon watching the video, we saw that it shows that contrary to
the above, the [remarks about the Holocaust] were not translating the
words of a third person, but were made directly by Mr. Abu-Alrub."
"In view of this, we seek to fix our response on this matter,
which was given in good faith and make it clear that we are disgusted,"
it concluded. "B'Tselem is careful in maintaining the
reliability and accuracy of its work and publications. Therefore, we
promise to hold inquiry as soon as possible into the incident and we
will publish the decision as soon as it is made."
I'm shocked. No, not shocked that B'Tselem would use a Holocaust-denying researcher, but shocked that they would admit it and pledge to do something about it. Please - shock me again and actually do something about it.
B'Tselem is the main
supplier of factual background material thanks to researcher Atef Abu
a-Rub who is also a Holocaust denier. The man is responsible for dozens
of "researches" and reports about the Israeli abuse in the territories.
He is so good at his job that when foreign reporters calls B'Tselem to
visit the territories, it is Abu a-Rub who is sent to serve as their
tour guide and shows them the area through his eyes.
The problem is not Atef Abu a-Rub; the problem is his operators.
His former boss was Lizi Sagie, the organization’s former information
director. Lizi claimed that Israel is responsible for humanity's
greatest atrocities and that it adopted Nazi values. Sagie quit
B'Tselem, but her spirit remained.
Member of B'Tselem public council Hussein Abu Hussein described
Israel as a "big monster that attacks us on a daily basis and nibbles
through our flesh… we all feel like crushing its head, but just talking
will not help, therefore everyone has a role. Atef Abu a-Rub has a role.
He is responsible for a flowing supply of "information" to describe
Israel as a monster.
How much Abu a-Rub's information is worth? According to him, the
mountains adjacent to the Jordan Valley used to be green until the Jews
came and stole the water beneath them. In addition those Jews "kill
dozens in their sleep and tell everyone it's because of the resistance".
But the Jews, he said, manage to hide their evil deeds because they
have a strong media. Yes, that is the man's opinions and the world is
fed with B'Tselem "researches".
This diabolic propaganda is fascinating, because it succeeds in
turning the tables. Holocaust surviving Jews become part of Hamas'
propaganda mechanism that wishes to continue the work of those who were
engaging in extermination of the Jewish people. Abu a-Rub and other
"human rights" activists like him, succeed in creating one of the
biggest scams of recent decades.
On one side stands a terror organization, who is also recognized as
such by the EU and most of the Western powers, and declares regularly,
in the most explicit manner, that its main goal is to annihilate the
Jewish people. Since the Nazi regime there hasn't been such a strong
body, almost a country, with such a diabolical ideology. On the other
side stands Israel who withdrew from the Gaza Strip and begs this reign
of terror to renounce terror and choose prosperity.
But the good Jews, the "Tikkun Olam" followers have really
turned a corner. There is no doubt that Abu a-Rub and the likes of him
have achieved an amazing success. The responsibility of most of it is
his employers; B'Tselem's board which Hussein Abu Hussein is one of its
members.
Amos Oz and A. B. Yehoshua, who are also sit in B'Tselem board,
have completely different opinions, but them sitting there gives
legitimacy to Abu a-Rub and Abu Hussein's radical views. They are having
a hard time admitting that their organization is not dealing with human
rights, but encourage anti-Semitism; it's not about criticizing
Israel's actions or about healing the world, it's about Jewish support
of fabricated blood libels meant to assist Hamas.
Abu a-Rub's story is taken from a fascinating book called "Catch
the Jew" by Tuvia Tennenbaum. Tennenbaum, a former Israeli, wrote the
book to a German publishing house following a similar journey through
Germany, which was depicted in his book "I Sleep in Hitler's Room" Where
Tuvia posed as a German reporter and toured the realm of the "human
rights kingdom". The results were terrifying.
Tennebaum is a figurative character with figurative writing.
Initially, I thought he was exaggerating, but I was worng. Tennebaum
wasn't only writing, he also documented everything via photos and
recorders. Tennebaum asked from B'Tselem a tour in the territories and
B'tselem sent Atef Abu a-Rub who, off course, told him his 1001 Arabian
Nights tales about the Jews' wrong doings.
It's important to mention that Abu a-Rub also contributes to
Gideon Levy's research, so next time someone is reading this research
they should know that perhaps, occasionally, they point out to things
that needs fixing, but mainly they prove that this is a satanic
propaganda mechanism; it is not clear whether B'Tselem and Levy planned
it that way, but they sure serve as key players in it.
Reporter poses as German, produces video proof of 'Palestinian' and leftist Holocaust deniers
Journalist Tuvia Tenenbaum is known throughout the 'Palestinian Authority' as 'Toby.' The 'Palestinians' and the Leftist internationals were convinced that Toby really was a German and they shared their real views with him.
The video below is Hebrew only - I'm hoping to get an English subtitled version within a couple of days. But I am translating the article from Israel's Channel 2's website into English for all of you. First the video, then the article.
Let's go to the videotape.
And the translation of the article, which summarizes the video.
"The Europeans aren't really familiar with the Middle East dispute and they did not do an investigation. They are coming out of every hole here. They don't want to help, but rather to catch the Jew doing something bad. It comes from hatred," claims Tuvia Tenenbaum. "I didn't lie in this case when I presented myself as a German journalist - I wanted to know what these people think. Even if there had been a conspiracy and it had been the only way to expose the truth, I would have done it, he added.
From the beginning, "Toby" joined a group of young Italians who learned about the dispute in Schchem (Nablus) and in Israel, with funding from the European Union. But the Israeli guide, Itamar Shapira - the brother of the pilot Jonathan Shapira who refused orders and became an extreme Leftist activist - presented himself to the group as "former Jew" and said harsh things against Israel.
During a tour of Yad Vashem, Shapira chose to focus specifically on stories of the massacre at Dir Yassin [the Jenin lie of the 1948 War of Independence. CiJ] and told the young Italians that it's necessary to impose a boycott and sanctions on Israel because "we have to stop an additional Holocaust." Shapira was fired in the past from Yad Vashem after he compared the Holocaust to the Naqba [the Palestinian characterization of the creation of the State of Israel as a catastrophe. CiJ], but today he leads private groups there.
The Palestinian guide who accompanied the group was Ataf Abu Rob, a Palestinian journalist and investigator for B'Tselem who is responsible for several stories published by the [extreme Leftist Haaretz] journalist Gideon Levy. Abu Rob told "Toby" that the Holocaust is "a lie. I don't believe it."
The senior Fatah commander Jibril Rajob also opened his door after he heard about the book that "Toby" planned to publish and told him: "Israel is racist and fascist, it will be isolated like South Africa." Rajoub's close confidantes whispered to Tenenbaum "We are all German, but the only problem is that that we know that General Rommel did not succeed in coming here."
Tenenbaum's book Catch the Jew will be published this week, and he will then not be accepted as a prodigal son in the Palestinian Authority once his cover is blown.
Yad Vashem reacted: "Yad Vashem is careful that the subject of the Holocaust will be presented in detachment from any political agenda. Itamar Shapira was employed in the past as a guide in Yad Vashem and was not careful about these norms, and therefore it was decided about five years ago to terminate him [after he had worked there for three and a half years! CiJ]. Today, we allow outside guides, but we are considering changing this policy."
From B'Tselem the following reaction was received: "B'Tselem condemns any expression of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial. The matter will be clarified with the investigator with the full necessary seriousness." Journalist Gideon Levy added: "I traveled to the territories a number of times over the course of the years with Atef Abu Rob. I never conducted political discussions with him and I am not aware of his views. I very much hope that Holocaust denial is not one of them.
Anyone still want to argue that anti-Zionism isn't anti-Semitism? Think about that, Leftist American and European Jews.
Fatah 'peace partner' Jibril Rajoub says that kidnappings are the 'only solution.'
Referring to the kidnapping of the three Israeli youths – Eyal Yifrah,
Gil-Ad Shaer and Naftali Fraenkel – in the West Bank last week, [Jibril Rajoub] told
the Ramallah- based Wattan TV that although he was opposed to the
kidnapping of civilians, be they Israelis or Palestinians, “apparently
Israel understands only the language of abductions.”
Rajoub, who serves as chairman of the Palestinian Football
Association and is closely associated with PA President Mahmoud Abbas,
said that “the kidnapping of soldiers has become the only solution that
Israel understands to release our prisoners, whose number is growing
every day.”
His remarks are seen as a challenge to Abbas, who has
twice condemned the kidnapping of the three youths and demanded their
release.
Rajoub is one of a number of top Fatah officials who see themselves as potential successors to Abbas.
He spent 15 years in Israeli prison before he was released in a prisoner swap with Israel in 1985.
Soldiers? Two of them are only 16!
'Peace' is surely at hand with the likes of Rajoub in the leadership.
Israel's Left is seething over this interview with senior 'Palestinian' official Jibril Rajoub, which was broadcast on Friday night.
Let's go to the videotape. The interview is in Hebrew, but an English summary follows.
Anchorman Danny Kushmaro asked Rajoub why PA leader Mahmoud Abbas
turned to the United Nations unilaterally instead of giving peace
negotiations a chance. Rajoub countered by claiming that Israel was
supposed to release 104 PA prisoners and that Israel was the one that
reneged on that deal.
Diplomatic correspondent Udi Segal told Rajoub that Prime Minister
Binyamin Netanyahu was willing to carry out the fourth tranche of the
prisoner release, including terrorists who are Israeli citizens, and to
release 400 additional terrorist prisoners, and curtail construction in
Judea and Samaria. Why, he asked, did the PA decide to torpedo the talks
at the last minute? Arab affairs correspondent Ehud Yaari added his own
question: does Rajoub agree with Yasser Arafat, who said that the Jews
had never had a Temple in Jerusalem?
Rajoub answered that Jerusalem is sacred to Jews, Christians and
Muslims, and that the Muslims recognize the other religions, while Jews
are the ones who do not recognize Islam. “I cannot pray at the Al Aqsa
mosque,” he complained. Surprisingly, the secular Kushmaro retorted –
“It is I who cannot pray at the Al Aqsa Mosque, you and your friends are
free to pray there.”
Kushmaro asked what the PA has given Israel in the negotiations, in
return for the terrorist prisoners who were released. “We gave
everything,” said an agitated Rajoub. During the talks, Israel built
thousands of homes in Judea and Samaria and dozens of Palestinians were
killed, he said, yet the PA kept the peace on its side. Yaari pressed
him to cite any concession the PA has made in the negotiations. “You
don't know how difficult it was to continue in the negotiations!” –
exclaimed Rajoub.
Segal reminded Rajoub that he has called Israelis “Nazis” and has said that if the PA had a nuclear bomb, it would drop it on Israel immediately.
Rajoub replied by quoting a humorous Purim interview in which Minister
Naftali Bennett was asked what would happen if he was locked up in a
room with Mahmoud Abbas for three hours. Bennett said that Abbas would
wind up joining the Jewish Home party and added that he would ask him to
make coffee for everyone and call someone who really spoke for the PA
to negotiate instead of him.
This reply, said Rajoub, proved that Bennett sees Abbas as “a waiter whose job it is to make coffee for him.”
The interview was received with great enthusiasm by nationalists. The
grassroots My Israel called it “Jibril Rajoub in the den of lions.”
Columnist Kalman Libeskind of Maariv wrote that it was the first time in
memory in which a Palestinian official “is actually asked to answer
questions” in an Israeli interview.
"It was an unusual interview, the likes of which has not been heard
in our part of the world for a very long time,” he summed up.
May we see more interviews like this one in the future.
"The Israeli government has informed us through the American mediator
that it will not abide with its commitment to release the fourth batch
of Palestinian prisoners scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 29," PA
official Jibril Rajoub told AFP.
"Israel has refused to commit to the names that were agreed upon
of prisoners held by Israel since before the 1993 Oslo agreements,"
added Rajoub, calling the move a "slap in the face of the US
administration and its efforts."
Rajoub reiterated PA threats to take unilateral moves for
recognition at the UN next week, in breach of conditions of the peace
talks, due to the release not occurring. "Not releasing the prisoners
will mark the beginning of the efforts in the international community to
challenge the legality of the occupation," threatened the PA official.
Israel has already released 78 of the 104 terrorists it committed to release. The talks have gone nowhere, and the 'Palestinians' are continuing them only to gain the release of additional terrorists.
Israel Radio reported early this morning that the release would be delayed because under the procedure fixed by the Supreme Court, the names have to be released 48 hours in advance - not including the Sabbath - in order to allow the families of the terrorists' victims to appeal the release. The appeal is pro forma anyway - none have ever been granted - but the government must still comply with the procedure. As of this morning, no names had been released by the Prisons Service.
Anyone could have foreseen this result. But of course Obama and Kerry didn't.
"If Hamas wants to kidnap Israeli soldiers, they should go ahead and
kidnap Israeli soldiers," Rajoub stated earlier this month in a live PA
television broadcast. "They should kidnap them if [the Israelis] refuse
to release more prisoners, if they want to keep them imprisoned forever -
only releasing them as ghosts or skeletons."
"The Israelis need to understand," Rajoub declared. "It is obvious that kidnapping is a language they understand."
"If anything, we encourage Hamas to kidnap Israeli soldiers," he
continued. "When they kidnapped [Gilad] Shalit, we welcomed it. When
they performed the Shalit [prisoner exchange] deal, we had some
reservations about it, but we welcomed it too."
But that kind of statement doesn't stop the insufferable Hanan Ashrawi from claiming that Israel is 'inciting' against the 'Palestinians.'
The Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency reported that
Ashrawi’s accusations were made during a meeting in Ramallah with a
delegation from the American J Street organization.
Ashrawi briefed the delegation on "the latest political developments,
the ongoing negotiations, and Israel's violations of international law
and their impact on prospects for peace and on the region," according to
a statement quoted by Ma’an.
"Israel is willfully sabotaging U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's
efforts and using the negotiations as a cover to continue with its
illegal settlement activities, particularly in and around Jerusalem, and
the theft of Palestinian lands and resources, among other violations,"
she charged.
"The Jewish American community, particularly as represented by J
Street, faces the dual challenge of influencing both the U.S.
administration and the hardline and extremist Israeli government; for
there to be peace and stability, we must move rapidly," she added.
Ashrawi also reiterated the PA’s demands that any successful peace
agreement must include the establishment of a Palestinian state along
the indefensible pre-1967 borders with its capital in eastern Jerusalem,
a "just solution" to the Palestinian refugee question and the
"beginning of the dismantlement of settlements and outposts and the
implementation of the Palestinian people's inalienable rights to freedom
and sovereignty."
And the 'international community,' including much of world Jewry, continues its willful blindness to the 'Palestinians' duplicity....
As US Secretary of State John FN Kerry negotiates a 'peace agreement' between the 'Palestinians' and Israel, one has to wonder whether 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud AbbasAbu Mazen is the right man to be negotiating for Fatah. You see, Khaled Abu Toameh reports that Abu Mazen doesn't even control his own Fatah faction (Hat Tip: Bad Blue).
A series of events over the past few weeks have left many
Palestinians wondering if Fatah will ever be able to recover and
rehabilitate itself in the aftermath of its defeat by Hamas in the
January 2006 parliamentary election.
These events have also raised questions as to Abbas's ability to rein
in and control his own loyalists in Fatah. Abbas, it seems, has lost
control not only over the Gaza Strip, but also his Fatah faction.
The most recent crisis in Fatah erupted last week when Fatah legislator and activist Jamal Abu al Rub, who is nicknamed "Hitler," punched
senior Fatah rival Jibril Rajoub three times in the face after a
violent confrontation in Ramallah's Grand Park Hotel, where Rajoub, a
former Fatah security commander, was waiting to meet with the Chinese
foreign minister.
Abu al Rub later explained that Rajoub had "provoked" him, and that
was why he had decided to assault him. According to Abu al Rub, about
two months ago one of Rajoub's bodyguards had assaulted him during a
heated meeting of Fatah leaders in Ramallah.
The decision drew strong condemnations from Abu al Rub's supporters
in the Jenin area of the northern West Bank, where dozens of Fatah
activists tendered their resignations to Abbas. In a further escalation, Fatah gunmen loyal to Abu al Rub expelled Palestinian Authority policemen from the town of Qabatya near Jenin.
Palestinians have expressed fear that the fight between Abu al Rub
and Rajoub could lead to an all-out bloody confrontation between
supporters of the two men.
Abu Toameh goes on to describe this as another instance of the longstanding 'Palestinian' feud between the old guard and the new guard, with Abu al Rub representing the new guard. The new guard, as Abu Toameh hints, is highly unlikely to abide by any 'peace agreement' 'negotiated' by Abu Mazen. While the Obama administration, which is starved for an 'achievement' in the foreign policy field, won't care about that, Israel ought to care a lot about it.
Meretz party seethes: Senior PA official denied entry into Israel due to incitement
Senior 'Palestinian Authority' official Jibril Rajoub has been denied entry into Israel due to statements he made in Arabic that were exposed by Palestinian Media Watch. The radical Leftist Meretz party, which wanted to host Rajoub at a conference, is furious.
The Israeli government prevented senior Palestinian Authority leader
Jibril Rajoub from entering Israel, citing examples of his incitement
against Israel that were exposed by Palestinian Media Watch. Israeli TV Channel 2 News cited Rajoub's statement last month:
Let's go to the videotape.
The radical Leftist Meretz party is seething.
Israel's Meretz Party had invited Rajoub to attend a party conference in
Israel. Israeli TV Channel 2 reported that Israeli Defense Minister
Moshe Yaalon explained his decision with the words:
"Jibril Rajoub incites [against Israel].
I'm not prepared when someone spits on me to say that it's rain."
[Channel 2 News (Israel), June 7, 2013]
Meretz chairwoman, MK Zahava Gal-On, criticized the decision saying:
"This is an attempt at silencing one of the outstanding peace-seekers on the other side." [Haaretz website, June 6, 2013]
'Outstanding peace seekers?' Read the whole thing and watch the rest of the videos to find out how big a lie that is.
Senior PA official: If we had a nuke we'd have used it this morning
To anyone who thinks that the 'Palestinians' have lasting peace in mind if they return to the 'negotiating table,' maybe this will disabuse you of that illusion.
The Arabs know well how to hate the Jewish state, but when push comes to shove they would all rather live here than live under 'Palestinian' - or for that matter any other Arab - rule. A nephew of Hamas 'Prime Minister' Ismail Haniyeh (the nominal ruler of Gaza) serves in the IDF because his mother and her two sisters - Haniyeh's three sisters - are all Israeli citizens. And that's just the start.
In fact, recent events in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, Oman, Libya, Syria (and you ain't seen nothing yet…) have enhanced the craving in the Arab Street for the liberties and benefits of Israel's democracy.
For example, Israeli ID cards have been sought by senior PLO and Hamas officials and their relatives, such as the three sisters of Ismail Haniyeh, the top leader of Hamas. They married Israeli Arabs and migrated from Gaza to Tel Sheva in Israel's Negev. Two are already widows, but prefer to remain in the Jewish State, and the son of the third sister serves in the Israeli Defense Forces.
Akrameh Sabri, the top Muslim religious leader in eastern Jerusalem, who delivers anti-Semitic and pro-terrorist sermons, retains his Israeli ID card as do Hanan Ashrawi of the PLO, Muhammad Abu-Tir of Hamas, Jibril Rajoub's wife, etc.
Some 150,000 non-Israeli Arabs, mostly from Judea and Samaria, married Israeli Arabs and received Israeli ID cards between 1993 and 2003. In addition, scores of thousands of illegal Arab aliens prefer Israeli – over Palestinian – residence.
A significant wave of net-emigration - 30,000 Arabs from Judea, Samaria and Gaza annually - since 1950 was substantially reduced in 1968, as a result of access gained to Israel's infrastructures of employment, medicine and education, and of Israeli construction of such infrastructures in these regions. The level of annual Arab emigration subsided during the peak years of Aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel), since Arabs were heavily employed in constructing the absorption infrastructure.
Israeli Arabs vehemently oppose any settlement – such as an exchange of land between Israel and the Palestinian Authority - which would transform them into Palestinian subjects, denying them Israeli citizenship.
I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Four of our children are married! Before I started blogging I was a heavy contributor on a number of email lists and ran an email list called the Matzav from 2000-2004.
