The New York Times and the Death of Klinghoffer

In an earlier post, I reported on the rally in New York against the Metropolitan Opera's Death of Klinghoffer, which is to take place on Monday.

It is well known that the New York Times was less than forthright (to put it kindly) in its reporting on the Holocaust 70 years ago, and that the Times has been very anti-Israel in its reporting for many years.

But here's something I didn't know, which I just found out by email from an anonymous source:
Peter Gelb, the head of the Met Opera is the son of Arthur Gelb, formerly publisher of the NYT.
And apparently they are quite proud of the connection.

Hmmm.
