Kerry's lie lead to talks blowing up

Dr. Aaron Lerner goes after Israel Radio's Chico Menashe for omitting the explanation of why the talks failed. In the process, Lerner provides the explanation: Kerry lied to both sides, assuming that he would easily persuade Prime Minister Netanyahu to release 'Israeli Arab' terrorists. Netanyahu never agreed to that.
Fact: Israel never agreed to releasing pre-Oslo Israeli Arab terrorists as part of the 4th round of releases and Secretary of State John Kerry misled the Palestinians and told them that Israel had agreed to release them.
This is not something told reporters by tertiary sources.
It isn't even something told on background not for attribution.
It is something that senior Israeli ministers have said for attribution.
And they have said this in interviews broadcast on Israel Radio over the past week.
And yet. this morning, Israel Radio diplomatic correspondent, Chico Menashe, declined to mention this critical fact in his long report this morning on Israel Radio Reshet Bet's morning news magazine. Instead he opted for a bizarre narrative that the United States was being too generous to Israel and that this created a problem.
Again: the 4th release as far as the Palestinians are concerned includes the Israeli Arabs. And this wasn't going to happen in a vacuum.
PM Netanyahu made this clear from the start.
This is a mess caused by Secretary of State Kerry's decision to apparently make the assumption that he could easily force PM Netanyahu to release the Israeli Arabs.
But PM Netanyahu was absolutely honest in explaining that it would take very special and unique circumstances to make it possible for the Cabinet to approve the release of the Israeli Arab terrorists.
We want peace so badly that they must want it also.... No... Not really...

Well, KhmerRouge Kerry, with 2.5 million notches in his belt from past agitation, sees no problem in releasing the oppressed class of "prisoners" onto the public. What's the big deal. In the U.S., these same Progressive Democrats released 68,000 criminals into the U.S. just in 2013. These criminals were in the U.S. illegally, which itself is a crime. But their claim to fame, on top of their lawless entry, was convictions for assault, rape, etc etc.

So why wouldn't he think it's okay in Israel? Help us vote these Progressive Democrats out in the U.S., before it becomes such a Communist enterprise that we can't.

If this is true, I have another perspective to lend to it:

Kerry's lies worked. The talks did not fail because of his lies. The talks only succeeded as far as they did (OK, which was not at all... your point? :| ) because of his lies.

Through Kerry's lies, he was able to convince the Israelis and Palestinians to sit at the table for 8 months.

Although Kerry really wants the talks to go on for longer, which led to talks about Pollard, he has not actually put any pressure on Israel (that we know about) to free the fourth batch of terrorists. Remember, in the official US reaction to Abbas going to the UN, the refusal to free the 'prisoners' was never mentioned!

The way it seems to me is that everything is going exactly the way Kerry planned. 8 months of negotiations guaranteed. Further negotiations dependent on Abbas' demonstration of good will, since otherwise the Israelis will never agree to free more terrorists.

This was actually one of the coolest cases of mediation ever. Or it would be except that Kerry the evil (because in this respect, he really is evil) couldn't find the moral conviction to warn Abu Mazen that freeing ANY cold-blooded murderer is beyond the pale.
