It's come to this: Livni, Lapid questioning 'Palestinian' commitment to peace

They can't admit that it's hopeless yet, because if we want peace so badly, the 'Palestinians' must want it too, but Tzipi Livni and Yair Lapid are both questioning the 'Palestinians' commitment to peace. This is from the first link.
"I don't intend to give up the struggle for an accord," the justice minister said on Channel 2's "Meet the Press."
However, she said the Israelis and Palestinians should hold more direct talks with each other and depend less on third-party mediation by the United States.
"Part of what happened in the past few months was more negotiation between us and the United States and less with the Palestinians," Livni said.
While Livni blasted the Palestinians, calling their application to more than a dozen international organizations and treaties "a blatant violation," she refrained from placing singular blame on the current status quo and expressed her interest in salvaging the floundering talks.
Livni called on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to "prove that he is a partner" for peace.
"We are in a crisis," she said. "What happened in the last week will need to be repaired."
Livni also blasted Jewish Home party MK's and Ministers Naftali Bennett and Uri Ariel whom she accused of sabotaging her efforts. Livni conveniently forgets that Jewish Home has twice as many MK's as the Tzipi Livni party.

Yesh Atid's Yair Lapid also questioned the 'Palestinian' commitment to peace.
There is great doubt that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is interested in reaching a peace agreement with Israel, Finance Minister Yair Lapid said on Friday morning.
...
"When the list of PA demands was published, which appeared more like a tool to ruin the negotiations, the only people that were happy were the extreme right wing, who prefer to wait for the Massiah instead of finding a solution," Lapid said.

"Yesh Atid will continue to support the separation from the Palestinians, but Abbas needs to know that at this time his demands are working against him," he added.
The first steps in Israel's Left recognizing reality? We can hope.
