I have no doubt that Israeli troops are in Syria - in fact, we were told that months ago.  But I doubt that the goal is a no-fly zone. I would bet that the goals are to undermine both Assad and the Islamist elements among the rebels (may not be the American goals, but definitely the Israeli ones) and to provide as much humanitarian aid as possible.
