Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Ahem...opinions are like noses, everybody's got one...the Patriots are definitely Carl's team...but Israelis are like Texans in spirit. So, it's the Dallas Cowboys who should be Israel's team! ;-)
Claiming that the Patriots are Israel's team is about as false as when the Cowboys claimed to be America's team.

Actually, that's not true (and if you follow the links you'll see it's not true).
Patriots owner Bob Kraft and his late wife Myra have been huge contributors to Israel for years.
The football stadium in Jerusalem (yes, there is one) is called Kraft Stadium. They built it.
For years, the only football games you could get here were Patriots games (on cable from Lebanon). No idea if that's still true - I have neither cable nor TV.
By contrast, the Dallas Cowboys didn't do squat for the United States. Only for the Dallas Cowboys.
