Erdogan too sick to travel to New York?

On Friday, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan suddenly canceled a trip to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. According to Lebanon's Naharnet, Erdogan suddenly claimed to be 'too busy' to go to New York (reminds you of his BFF, Barack Obama, doesn't it).
Erdogan, who was originally scheduled to be in New York between September 22 and 25, will not be able to do so due to his upcoming party congress, as well as his busy schedule, said Anatolia.
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) congress is slated for September 30, and will be attended by foreign leaders including Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, the local media reported.
In Erdogan's absence, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will lead the Turkish delegation at the U.N. meeting.
President Abdullah Gul had initially been scheduled to travel to New York but had to cancel due to a chronic ear infection.
Really? I wonder if this might be the real reason why Erdogan canceled his trip to New York. Hmmm.

The real reason is that Erdogan is only partially complete with his takeover of the government. This week a slew of ex generals were given 20 year sentences for something or other, another large group of military officers were rounded up for spying, treason, being Zionists, etc etc and if he leaves Turkey now he's afraid they'll be a coup and he won't be able to return.

Personally I hope he has 1,500 people executed on TV if only to hear how wonderful that is on Huffington Post.
