Go and figure: 75% of Egyptians don't want a war with Israel

My apologies for a much longer break than expected. No, I am not traveling. Yet.

A survey done by the Menachem Begin Heritage Center shows that Egyptians don't want war with Israel by a margin of 75-18.
As the Egyptian people ready themselves to choose new leadership, and following the Arab Spring, the survey by Jerusalem’s Menachem Begin Heritage Center found that 75% of respondents prefer peace with Israel — although 18% prefer war.

The poll, reported on Channel 2 on Monday night, also found 93% of Egyptians believe that the peace with Israel is a cold one, and that 80% want it to remain that way.

According to the report, a slight majority of 56% believe it is important to continue with the established peace treaty.
And my guess is that the main reason for those numbers is that most Egyptians don't believe they could win a war against Israel right now.

What could go wrong?

Thereby showing again, in the absence of honor, good will and enlightened self-interest in Israel's largest neighbor, the supreme value to Israel of military deterrence.
